Our dedicated team of Van Drivers (known internally as Stock Transport Drivers) support our retail shops every day to supply essential stock which is crucial to their success. This allows our shops to raise much needed funds to deliver our mission, an Equal Future for disabled people and their families.
Permanent - full time, 35 hours a week
The role
As a Stock Transport Driver, you will be responsible for moving donations, including clothing for Scope Retail Area 18 across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
You will deliver a great customer experience to our donators when collecting or delivering donations.
We will ask you to keep your vehicle and stock secure plus plan for routine maintenance and repairs.
About you
As a Scope Stock Transport Driver, you’ll need a full, clean driving licence with a willingness to undertake relevant training.
You’ll enjoy delivering great customer service and have a professional, courteous manner with the general public.
You must also be able to able to lift heavy and/or bulky items and happy to be trained in the use of lifting equipment for very heavy items.
You’ll enjoy being out and about working outdoors, in all weathers, travelling far and wide in your area.

Shop hours
It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day, so some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. We work 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the successful delivery of Transport for All’s communication and engagement strategies. You will work with the Head of Communications and Engagement to ensure that Transport for All has consistent and effective messaging through the creation and development of digital and print copy, and digital content including podcasts, graphics and videos. The role

Working together with the Forest of Avon Trust CEO and our team you will:
•Arrange internal meetings and take minutes/list of actions for example team meetings, team training days.
•Organise quarterly board meetings, disseminate information to board members and take minutes.•Manage a team calendar of critical dates such as insurance renewals, etc.
•Assist with general finance admin e.g. preparing invoices, making payments, receipts, bank forms and relaying information between the CFO, third parties and the rest of the team.
•Scan and email documents, send out letters, support filing and organising.
•Complete stationary and other supplier orders for the team, organise and book training, etc.
•Office management. including ordering IT equipment and liasing with the landlord and building manager.
•Support CEO and fundraiser in small grants administration.
•Support our communications team with event planning and volunteer support.
•Assist with gathering information for Trees for Climate reporting to Defra, e.g., planting agreements, hectares planted, site photos and maps, proofs of expenditure.
•Fielding initial enquiries, liaising with the Tree Officers on new sites, compiling Trees for Climate landowner agreements and processing claims at the end of the planting season.
•Arranging team wellbeing and social events.
•Recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
•Opportunities to get involved with tree-planting during the winter season, and Health & Wellbeing activities where appropriate.

About the Role
We are looking for an EDI Committee Chair to provide direction to the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Work and to lead the EDI-BIIDE Committee, ensuring alignment between the organisation’s EDI-BIIDE Action Plan and the organisation’s three-year strategy and resources.
You will ensure EDI-BIIDE is consolidated into all aspects of our work – for our members, our staff and, crucially, for the public with whom we and our members interact professionally. - Lead the EDI-BIIDE Committee and ensure the Committee’s business is conducted collaboratively and methodically and that the Committee takes decisions within its authorised powers (as delegated by the Board of Trustees).
- Liaise with the organisation’s Board of Trustees, staff, and other committee chairs on the Committee’s work.
- Ensure decisions taken by the Committee are clear and unambiguous, and that responsibility for taking forward action points is properly allocated.
- Attend events and other external events as required, acting as an ambassador for the organisation’s work on EDI-BIIDE.
- Report to the Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis on the Committee’s activities, highlighting achievements, and escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
- Draft briefing notes and communications pieces for internal and external audiences as required.
- In collaboration with staff, recruit and induct members onto the Committee as required.
- Conduct periodic reviews on the effectiveness of the Committee and its members and implement improvements as necessary.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
- An extensive understanding of legal and social EDI-BIIDE matters (including the contextual, political, climatic and social changing landscapes, to advance equity for stakeholders, the public and UKCP).
- Well-developed communication skills with attention to language meanings across different populations and audiences that promote equity, further collaboration, and uphold respect and dignity for all.
- Experience in embedding EDI-BIIDE principles and practices in an organisational context, understanding how to align EDI-BIIDE with wider business objectives, and working within resource constraints
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with experience working in an influential role and driving cultural changes for individuals, groups, communities, boards, training and teams.
- Proven success in leading and chairing a committee in similar environments
- Ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy, and empathy, and seek advice, guidance and support when necessary.
- Experience in effectively chairing meetings, and encouraging input from a diverse range of backgrounds
