Purpose of the role:

The Helpline Senior Data Officer will work with the Data Manager to help oversee reporting and utilisation of Helpline data. This includes:

• Contributing to maintaining data quality, standards and training to ensure that Helpline data is effectively utilised.
• Supporting the Data Manager to lead and grow the data programme and ensure effective publications and outputs of Helpline data and provide occasional reporting and Salesforce support to frontline services.
• Providing support to Data Officers, including overseeing day to day activities and creating action plans as appropriate.
• Engaging in team and personal development, working alongside the Data Manager and Head of Helpline Services to lead on reviewing reports.

About the Role   

You will be joining at an exciting time for Ataxia UK as we enter our 60th anniversary year.

Responsible for the communications officer as well as a range of external suppliers, you will lead the day-to-day communications function as a key member of the Fundraising & Communications department. We are seeking someone to join our team as Librarian. Trinity College Bristol is a vibrant community of around 60 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, many training for ordination in the Church of England. The College is made up of both residential and context-based learners, both full- and part-time, as well as a lively cohort of a further 60 postgraduate research students.

In this part-time role you would be responsible for organising and maintaining the library at Trinity College and for ensuring it is suitably equipped and resourced to support the academic work of the college. The role involves assisting library users in induction and access to the library collection. The library consists of about 55,000 volumes, plus an extensive digital collection.

How Will you Make a Difference?  

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level administrative support to Amna’s CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Trustees. This includes administrative help such as managing calendars, drafting communications and briefings, planning, and organising meetings, inbox support, travel, office administration and personal assistance. It also includes working on and managing special projects including research, data analysis, preparation for public speaking, writing and research. 

This dynamic and creative position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills including strong written and verbal skills, the ability to work with little supervision, and manage simultaneous priorities within the leadership team.

Key areas of responsibilities: 

CEO/SLT Support 

• Work closely with the CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Act as a "barometer", staying attuned to the internal and external environment and keeping the CEO updated on relevant issues. 

• Anticipate the needs of the CEO and SLT in advance of meetings, conferences, and public appearances.

Board support 

• Manage due diligence and onboarding processes for new Trustees, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping. 

• Organize tailored training sessions for Board members. 

• Maintain up-to-date records of Board members, including contact information, terms of service, and compliance documents. 

• Assist Board members with travel expense claims and ensure accurate processing. 

• Compile, organize, and distribute materials for Board meetings, including reports and presentations. 

• Edit and format Board papers to ensure consistency and professionalism. 

• Coordinate logistics for Board meetings, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and required technology or equipment. 

• Attend Board meetings to provide administrative support, take minutes, and document actions and decisions. Distribute minutes promptly and track follow-up actions. 

• Develop and implement comprehensive induction plans for new Trustees. 

• Facilitate introductions and provide orientation materials to integrate new Board members effectively. 

Governance and Compliance 

• Support the CEO and committee chairs in adhering to the organization’s governance framework. 

• Maintain a centralized, up-to-date register of governance documents for easy access by senior staff and Trustees. 

• Ensure the organization complies with GDPR regulations in relation to all Board activities. 

• Work with the CEO and Chair to ensure the Board is informed about safeguarding practices and remains accountable. 

• Support emerging governance practices and Trustee development in partnership with the CEO and Chair. 

• Plan and execute Trustees’ regulatory obligations, including registering them with appropriate bodies. 

  Qualifications and Experience:  

• Minimum of 4-7 years of progressively responsible and diversified administrative experience, experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Excellent research skills and experience in writing briefing papers 

• Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail. 

• Ability to work both independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. 

• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software; ability to design and edit graphic presentations and materials.

The Role 

5Rights Foundation is seeking a dynamic and skilled Communications Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a central role in managing external communications, strengthening our media presence, and ensuring our messaging aligns with the organisation’s pioneering and ambitious global advocacy objectives. This role offers the opportunity to deliver practical change for children, as part of a small organisation with a strong track record of changing narratives, setting the agenda and bringing together both the expertise and the public support to get policy over the line.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with the 5Rights Advocacy and Operations teams, the Communications Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling content (such as articles, social media posts and press releases), liaising with journalists, and enhancing our brand visibility across multiple platforms. The position is fast paced, requiring a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We offer an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent role. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Monitor news cycles and digital trends to identify risks and opportunities. 

• Track media coverage and maintain an up-to-date press contact database. 

• Manage 5Rights’ website and social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging.

ESSENTIAL skills and attributes 

• A degree in communication, journalism or equivalent. 

• At least 2 years of professional experience in communications, journalism, or a related field. 

• Excellent writing, messaging and presentation skills, with a strong ability to engage press and public audiences. 

• A solid understanding of traditional and digital media landscapes. 

• Experience managing social media channels and developing effective engagement strategies. 

• Experience in the creation of social media content (video and static graphics), and marketing materials using graphic design software such as Canva or InDesign. 

• Familiarity with Mailchimp and experience with content management systems (WordPress); knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus. 

• A proactive, can-do attitude and solution-oriented mindset, backed by strong strategic thinking skills and project management abilities.

About the Role

This is more than just a comms job.

This is a chance to work directly with young people and help them share their stories, reach wider audiences, and influence national conversations. You’ll be joining a friendly, fully remote team with a shared mission to put youth voice at the heart of everything we do.

The Communications Officer (Programmes) will focus on our flagship youth voice initiatives – including the UK Youth Parliament, Youth Select Committee and National Youth Council for England – developing content and campaigns that shine a spotlight on young people’s impact.

You’ll create high-quality content across blogs, newsletters, toolkits, reports, and social media. You’ll also support press engagement, storytelling and digital campaigns, helping to shape public perception and engagement with youth-led change.

Key Responsibilities

• Use real stories, testimonials, and data to showcase the impact of youth programmes
• Write, proofread and edit engaging content for web, social media and publications
• Support the delivery of comms and media around national events and campaigns
• Manage platforms including X (Twitter), YouTube, and TikTok
• Design and write email marketing campaigns
• Collaborate with internal teams and key partners such as DCMS, Parliament and youth organisations
• Help prepare young people for press interviews, and coordinate their contributions
• Attend key events and support the visibility and profile of youth voice nationally

At the RCN Foundation, we are committed to supporting, strengthening and championing the nursing profession. As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nurses, midwives and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to innovate and progress in their careers.

As the Foundation’s Grants Officer you will work across the Foundation’s grant-making activities and be responsible for checking eligibility and allocating education grant applications to external reviewers and support the Benevolent team with hardship grant applications. Both grant programmes are bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in running a smooth first-class service relating to our grant making activity to individuals in need.

In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will work across the Grants and Impact team and use the online application portal to manage all grant applications. You will manage enquires relating to the Foundation’s grant-making and work with the RCN Foundation Grants Manager to provide support to applicants.

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of best practice in respect to grant-making across more than one country of the UK. You will need to have significant experience of working in a grant-making capacity, and with charities and/or third sector organisations. Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus in all you do.

What you'll be doing: 

We are looking for a skilled Bid Development Officer to join our team and drive income generation through grants and funding applications. If you have experience in bid writing, securing funding, and building relationships with funders, we want to hear from you!
 
You will be:

• Identifying and researching funding opportunities from public sector funders, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Trusts, and Foundations.
• Developing high-quality funding applications in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Managing the full grant cycle—from prospecting and application to reporting and stewardship.
• Building and maintaining relationships with funders, trusts, and foundation managers.
• Creating strong, evidence-based funding proposals aligned with organisational priorities.
• Writing compelling applications and donor reports to meet funder requirements and deadlines.
• Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring full cost recovery.
• Maintaining accurate records on CRM systems and tracking funding opportunities.
• Working closely with strategic partners to shape bids and unlock new funding sources.
• Supporting the Acting Deputy Director (Strategic Conservation Initiatives) in achieving annual income targets.

What we need you to bring:  

• Proven experience in bid development and securing funding through high-quality applications.
• Strong research skills to identify new funding opportunities.
• Experience of working to income targets and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive applications.
• Strong project budgeting skills, including knowledge of full cost recovery.
• Ability to manage funder relationships, ensuring excellent stewardship and timely reporting.
• Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

The Information and Content Officer will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and promotion of a comprehensive range of high-quality information resources for sarcoma patients, their families/carers, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Duties and Responsibilites 

Content development:

• Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
• Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
  • Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
  • Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark
• Ensure all new content meets clinical standards, brand guidelines, plain English principles, and accessibility requirements.

Content updates & maintenance: 

• Continuously review and update existing print and digital information resources to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a structured review schedule to keep materials current as per the PIF quality mark.
• Manage a comprehensive database to track all information resources and versions.

Content promotion & distribution:

• Work with colleagues to create promotional content for Sarcoma UK's information resources across multiple channels.
• Utilise social media platforms to extend reach and engagement with target audiences.

• Collaborate with internal communications and digital teams on content publishing and marketing.

Administration & reporting:

• Collect metrics and provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement and feedback.
• Assist in developing evaluation methods to assess impact of information resources.

General:

• To support new work within the information team.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, people affected by sarcoma, and staff members.
• To attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.
• To travel occasionally to meetings and events. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required and time off in lieu will be given.
