Position: Womens Community Project Key Worker

Location: Based in central Reading, the role requires travel across Berkshire, Oxford City and South Oxfordshire

Contract: Permanent full time – 37 hours per week

Salary: Starting salary in the range of £25,734 to £31,453 per annum, depending on skills and experience

About the role:

As a Key Worker at Alana House, you will hold a case load of women and be involved in one to one work, support work and group based sessions. Your Key Worker responsibilities will include:

· complete initial assessments of risk and need, and provide one-to-one support across rehabilitative pathways

· create and review support plans in collaboration with the woman, and other agencies

· facilitate and deliver group-based support

Job Title and Summary:  Senior Video Editor

An opportunity to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.

The role will cover the main renal units and satellite dialysis units across your designated area in South West / Bristol region. Frequent travel and attendance is expected at some sites.

Responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. The Skylight Psychologist role is offered as a development opportunity for candidates in the first 18 months post qualification. There would be the opportunity to progress to the Senior Skylight Psychologist role when they meet the relevant clinical and leadership competencies.

About the role 

We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in Crisis Skylight Brent.

In this role, you will be supporting our bold and diverse operation in Brent that includes our non-commissioned Skylight Service, the commissioned and outcome-based Single Homeless Prevention Service and The Single Homeless Refugee Housing & Integration Service. We support around 1400 people affected by homelessness per year and in the last 12 months ended homelessness for 446 people, predominantly in by sourcing accommodation in the private rented sector. You will also be part of the local leadership group and as such get involved in our outward facing place-based work that aims to shape better system responses to homelessness, working with colleagues from the Local Authority and NHS and the local community and voluntary service.

You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times.

You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, two Regional Lead Clinical Psychologists, and seven Practitioner Psychologists as well as one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.

At Crisis, we understand more and more Practitioner Psychologists are taking on multiple part-time opportunities within the NHS, academic, private practice and the third sector as this has been the case with our own team. Job Purpose

Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm). These times are subject to change, based on the needs and requirements of carers using the service.

The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support to carers in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.

Key responsibilities 

Advice giving

• Answering telephone calls into a central helpline offering support and guidance to unpaid carers in Manchester.
• Provide relevant and meaningful support and information to unpaid carers utilising internal and external resources.
• Inform carers about carers assessments and refer where necessary.
• Inform carers about emergency grants available and refer where necessary.
• Ensure all advice and support given is delivered in a timely manner to suit the needs of carers calling the helpline whilst balancing waiting callers.

Follow-up support

• Refer unpaid carers to local services to access local and culturally appropriate support in their area.
• Refer carers to Adult Social Care for Carers Assessments to discuss and improve their caring situation.
• Signpost carers to relevant services in Manchester suited to their individual need.
• Complete relevant grant applications for carers using the service where needed.
• Use Carers Manchester Contact Point and other reliable and accurate resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to carers
• Research and explore options and implications so that carers can make informed decisions.

What the job involves

We’re looking for two Events and Community Coordinators to join our Events and Community Team, one permanent role and a second fixed term contract for 9 months covering a secondment. We are a results-driven team focused on maximising opportunities, reaching ambitious goals, and delivering an outstanding experience for our supporters

Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:

· our own events (e.g. March for Men)

· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)

· Golf Days

· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity

You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.

Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll have the drive and eagerness to provide crucial support to our sector-leading programme of events which generated over £11.5m of gross income in 2024-25. About the Role
