In this role you will lead the delivery of the MS Society’s portfolio of Services, as well as being a key part of our service transformation work which grows the reach, diversity and impact of services such as our helpline, specialist services, befriending and support volunteers.

You will ensure the MS Society’s approach to Safeguarding adheres to best practice and legal requirements across the UK, while also supporting the delivery of the MS Society’s strategy.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.   

This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.

This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

• Comprehensive understanding of SQL and Data warehousing principles with experience of working with cloud-based data warehousing, data engineering, and CRM systems.
• Demonstratable experience of SQL Server and T-SQL with strong SQL skills in MS SQL.
• Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data compliance standards.
• Experience in leading data strategy development and implementation.

For this role, you’ll need:

• 7+ years’ experience in senior business and fundraising/revenue development roles

We are seeking a Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the charity's communications strategy.

The Head of Communications and Marketing is a strategically important post in the organisation with lead responsibility for overseeing communications, marketing and PR for the UK’s only national cleft lip and palate support charity. The role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications including media relations, digital content and brand strategy.

This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be part of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT). As Head of Risk & Assurance you'll provide vital assurance to our Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees over our control frameworks and ensure that Mary’s Meals is fully equipped to identify and manage risk across our operations.

Reporting to the Director of Governance & Risk, you will drive robust internal audit, risk management, and insurance frameworks across MMI and our global programme countries, with development opportunities to expand our services across the MM network. A skilled influencer and people leader, you will support key stakeholders to identify, consider and manage risk through simple mechanisms and provide dynamic reporting to inform and influence decision-making.

You will:

· Oversee the delivery of a robust, risk-based internal audit service that appropriately targets our audit resource towards the operational areas of greatest risk and/or benefit.

· Develop our annual internal audit strategy, with consideration of organisational knowledge, known risks and key stakeholder input.

· Oversee the delivery of comprehensive internal audits and creation of high-quality reporting for local stakeholders, ELT and FRAC.

· Evolve the risk management framework for Mary’s Meals, helping to embed a culture of sound risk management that is fit for purpose, joined-up and appropriate for the Mary’s Meals governance model.

· Design and implement simple and effective mechanisms for risk management to support the timely identification, consideration and management of risk.

The Senior Programmes Manager: University Access will play a pivotal role in the University Access and Digital team, overseeing and managing the delivery of high-impact interventions, including UK Summer Schools, The Sutton Trust Fulbright US Programme and Teacher Champions, that support young people from underrepresented backgrounds in accessing highly selective universities. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of the barriers faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and a commitment to supporting them in reaching their potential.

With strong project management skills, key responsibilities include managing the programme partnerships, overseeing the marketing and applications process, monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes, continuously refining processes for improvements, and ensuring that the evolving needs of the target demographic are met. The post holder will also be expected to share best practice across the organisation and be a key contributor to the development of the Trust’s strategy for engaging schools, teachers, and students.

Main duties

Ongoing Programme Management

• Leading on the day-to-day project management and delivery of the Trust’s Higher Education access programmes with oversight and support from senior staff, including UK Summer Schools, The Sutton Trust Fulbright US Programme and Teacher Champions.
• Oversee the performance of 12 UK universities delivering the Sutton Trust’s Summer School programmes, the US-UK Fulbright Commission, Causeway Education, and other external partners. This includes:
  • Managing partner performance against contractual obligations, including reporting and invoicing.
  • Building and maintaining effective and enduring relationships, including the onboarding and training of new partners.
  • Establishing a culture of collective learning through planning and delivery of events and best practice sharing.

• Overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of university access programmes in collaboration with external evaluation partners and internal teams; collating data and producing reports, ensuring the effective dissemination of findings and using these to refine programme design.
• Ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and management of programme data for university access. This includes using Salesforce (our CRM) for tracking partner performance, participant data, and programme outcomes.
• Managing programme budgets and reporting on financial status internally.

Programme innovation/development

• Proactively developing strategies to enhance programme delivery, ensuring programmes maintain their quality and reach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of special projects designed to evolve and improve university access programmes. 
• Development and implementation of the school and teacher engagement strategy to support our programme aims and contributing to trust-wide strategy in this area, with support from senior leadership.
• Helping to develop new programmes, including contributing to the drafting of funding bids by Development colleagues.

Team Management & Organisational Duties

• Line management of the Senior Programmes Officer: Marketing and Communications and the Programmes Assistant: University Access and Digital
• Contributing to the leadership of the University Access and Digital team, working closely with the Head of University Access and Digital and other senior programme managers to ensure effective and coherent management of all access-focused programmes
• Representing the Trust at external speaking engagements, as well as contributing to fundraising and donor-related activities when required
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience in managing partnerships, overseeing programme delivery, and financial control.
• Experience line-managing staff and motivating and supporting teams to deliver successfully
• Proven experience in designing, managing, and delivering high-quality programmes ideally with a focus on young people facing barriers to Higher Education.
• A strong understanding of the widening participation sector and the challenges faced by young people in accessing top-tier universities.
• Experience working with schools, colleges, or universities,
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data to inform decision-making and to use insights to improve programme delivery.
• Experience of working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively represent the Trust at all levels.
• Strong budget management and numerical skills.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Head of Outreach.

This role will:

· Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that delivers against the Trust’s 10-year organisational strategy, especially Aim 2: to inspire people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees.

· Lead on the development and monitoring of the Trust’s KPIs relating to face-to-face outreach ensuring data collection methods and tools are fit for purpose, and staff and volunteers have the necessary training and support to confidently report on the impact of face-to-face outreach activities.

· Work with the fundraising team to generate income to fund the sustainable growth of the Trust’s outreach activities across the UK.

You will be an excellent communicator and problem solver with experience in managing change and leading and motivating staff and volunteers. You will have a proven track record in securing grant funding and building strong partnerships with third party organisations, as well as experience in monitoring and evaluating the impact of public engagement and volunteering activities, including social and wellbeing impacts and behaviour change.
