About the team
This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.
The Operations team comprises the Director of Finance and Operations, HR and Learning Manager, Head of Finance, HR Officer, Finance and Operations Assistant and a part time Administrator. Payroll and IT support are outsourced.
About this role
We are looking for a talented professional with a strong understanding of CRM and digital systems and a passion for maximising the value of data, who is looking to join an organisation where they can put their skills to use across all aspects of our operations. You will join at a key time to develop and embed our work in this area, providing critical support to all our teams as well as maintaining and developing our cross-organisation systems.
You will lead on the development, administration, and staff engagement with, and training on, our Salesforce CRM system. This will include data from, and working with, all departments of Impetus, including our donors and prospects, our collaboration with partner charities, and our communications with email audiences. You will also manage the relationship with our existing Salesforce partner agency, drawing on them for additional support resource and coordinating broader development projects. The successful candidate will have experience developing and drawing value from Salesforce, including both technical development and collaborating closely with teams to drive engagement and best practice.
You will be responsible for our other cross-organisational digital systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data warehouse, visualisation, and ETL tools, website analytics, and Digital Asset Management system, as well as providing support for our Finance and HR systems, including providing training to staff and answering any questions related to these systems. You will collaborate closely with our Communications team, for example around website and social media analytics and reviewing the progress of the social media strategy. From time to time you may also be asked to provide support or advice to our portfolio charities. The role will also be responsible for helping to drive adoption of GenAI across Impetus.
As the sole technical and digital specialist role at Impetus, this position requires a collaborative individual who can work across diverse teams while also operating independently with a high level of autonomy. You will take ownership of CRM and systems for a dynamic, inquisitive, and growing organisation, helping to drive its growth and impact.
Key responsibilities
CRM:
- Own the development and administration of our Salesforce system.
- Work with all teams at Impetus to maximise their engagement with Salesforce and provide relevant training.
- Manage the relationship with our Salesforce support partner to leverage additional administration, and development project, resource.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within Salesforce.
- Gather information and data to identify business requirements and processes for adding to, or further developing on, Salesforce.
- Evaluate technical solutions in terms of meeting business requirements.
- Develop reporting within Salesforce.
- Answer staff queries and ad hoc requests.
Systems Management:
- Administer, maintain, and develop core organisational systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data visualisation and ETL tools, website analytics, Digital Asset Management system, and Finance and HR systems.
- Ensure effective knowledge management across our internal systems.
- Provide support to staff on these systems, including training, and answering any queries and ad hoc requests.
- Lead the development of the visualisation of core organisational and team data, as well as managing the underlying data.
- Maintain and develop our data warehouse.
- Collaborate with our outsourced IT partner to ensure the availability, resilient operation, and development of our systems.
- Aid the development of a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across Impetus.
Person specification
Essential:
- Advanced knowledge of, and significant experience with, Salesforce development in a professional context.
- Experience around ensuring compliance with GDPR and cybersecurity frameworks e.g. CyberEssentials.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented, creative and dedicated marketing professional to join our small but powerful team to help deliver our new strategy.
As a new role in the hospice’s Fundraising & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will join an existing team of fundraising managers working to maximise awareness and support of the hospice in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support the hospice’s income generation strategy, including line management of the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, and external agencies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional, used to working closely with income generating teams. They will oversee the delivery of a compelling programme of multi-channel communications with the sole aim of increasing the awareness of and support for the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and communications planning, delivery and performance management
- Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the strategies for fundraising, retail and volunteering.
- Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, producing impactful insights and reports to guide our ever-evolving work through all communication channels.
- Develop and maximise the marketing mix, identifying innovative initiatives and working across online and offline channels, to best support the promotion of all income generation activities across the hospice.
- Ensure compliance to industry standards and best practice at all times.
- Support the fundraising strategy in proactively researching and targeting audiences across the catchment area to ensure a broadening of reach and awareness of the breadth of the hospice’s services.
- Be forward facing and lead on engagement with clinical colleagues to promote the need for strong patient stories and effective storytelling to support fundraising.
- Ensure sufficient opportunities for collection of service user data to share news and promote activities.
- Proactively develop and streamline the long-term internal and external communications schedules across the charity.
- Lead on content creation, coordination and production of hospice marketing materials, protecting the reputation, brand and tone of Katharine House.
Operational delivery
- Lead on the writing and distribution of appropriate and engaging press releases, paid adverts, local village features and articles.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee delivery of a planned (and reactive) social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile, using online planning and Analytical tools to plan and report on digital channels to improve targeting and supporter journeys.
- Work closely with the Website Editor to oversee and optimise the KHH website: creating and updating content for the charity and clinical colleagues, including the EPiC Resource Centre.
- Work with the Website Editor and Supporter Care team to ensure that integration of the CRM (Beacon) and website is optimised, to maximise supporter journeys, supporter preference compliance and insights.
- Work together with relevant charity and clinical colleagues and our designer to prepare, design and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee the production of the monthly supporter e-newsletters.
- Alongside your immediate team, manage production of the bi-annual Katharine House magazine from start to finish, with content and thematic planning with fundraising and volunteering managers.
- Lead on content creation to use across the charity. Continue to manage and regularly update our library (filed, captioned, tagged) of patient, staff and volunteer stories with consent, quality photography and video content for use across all of income generation.
- Manage and oversee the charity’s online channels including website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date and engaging content, and ensure all online advertising (inc. paid social media adverts), Google AdWords grant and SEO are effectively managed.
- Liaise with clinical colleagues at our NHS partner OUH to support key marketing, messaging and communication needs, ensuring our brand is correctly used.
Leadership and people management
- Meet regularly with the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, fostering positive communication and engagement. Carry out monthly one-to-ones, setting quarterly objectives and recognising training needs where necessary.
- As a member of the management team, represent the culture and values of the hospice and charity sector.
- Manage the ongoing and changing priorities within the team, communicating and sharing progress and changes in a clear, timely manner. Promote collaborative working and its benefits across the organisation.
- Attend regular management meetings, contributing to team strategy and overall management/team needs.
- Act as a positive role model to the charity team and wider stakeholders.
- Actively manage the workload of our designer.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, committed and skilled Governance Officer to join the team.
In this role you will provide a comprehensive, high quality secretariat service, particularly to the Bishop’s Council, which acts as the Board of Directors of the Diocesan Board of Finance (income £30M, assets £520m, over 100 staff) and oversees a wide range of activity.
The Diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England covering the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire with a thousand parishes, church schools and chaplaincies. It is active in environmental action, addressing poverty and inequality, supporting children and youth work and much, much more.
You will ensure that meetings are scheduled and organised, agendas created, minutes recorded, and action lists monitored; elections organised and appointments made; governance advice given; relevant policies are in place and statutory registers are maintained. You will have the opportunity to be in the room when most of the organisation’s key decisions are taken. You will be required to work occasional evenings (1 each in May and December) and Saturdays (1 each in March, June and November), with time off in lieu.
About You
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of our staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins this work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.
To be successful in this role you will be an initiative-taker with strong administrative, governance support and minute-taking experience and ideally have previously worked with senior stakeholders. ROLE OVERVIEW
As our Management Accountant you will work with the Associate Director, Operations to manage our income and expenditure effectively. This will be achieved through timely provision of financial information including management accounts and funders reports as well the preparation of budgets, forecasts, funding proposals, and the ongoing review of our financial performance.

KEY DUTIES
Financial Modelling and Forecasting

Build and manage a financial model capable of organising and forecasting the financial structures that result from income from multiple sources of funds.

Internal Reporting

Work with our virtual finance office (external bookkeeping team) to ensure monthly management accounts are produced with the appropriate narrative.

Budgeting

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Educated to first degree level or equivalent experience

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or working towards such a qualification and close to qualification

Significant relevant experience, ideally gained in the charity sector (working with grant income, familiar with Charities SORP (FRS 102) etc.)

Knowledge of the preparation of grant applications, monitoring of grant expenditure, grant reporting and close-out

The Role
The Head of Digital Infrastructure will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, managing the charity’s operational digital infrastructure, enabling a seamless interface between staff, technology and systems, and leading on the development and delivery of the Charity’s IT strategy. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the post-holder will be responsible for the operation of Wonderseekers’ IT infrastructure, including its digital platforms, box office system and digital planetarium, as well as cyber security measures, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation throughout.
The role requires a hands-on approach, balancing day to day system administration with the management of IT contracts and digital tools such as databases. You will also take ownership of the digital exhibits, part of the wider, hands-on family friendly visitor attraction at Winchester Science Centre and be the Charity expert on the operation of the digital planetarium system.

Key Objectives
· To support the charity delivering on its charitable objectives by providing effective IT support, including box office/ticketing solutions and the Charity’s websites

Key Responsibilities
Managing Operational Infrastructure:
· Manage the Wonderseekers IT infrastructure and support contract to ensure cost effective and high quality service delivery.
· Support the successful launch and on-going operation of key digital infrastructure used across the charity, including databases, SharePoint sites, cloud based applications, planetarium and exhibits.
· Work collaboratively with the Commercial Operations team, external web developer and software provider to ensure delivery of an exceptional customer experience from landing on the Charity website to completion of a ticket purchase, minimising downtime wherever possible.
· Troubleshoot IT platform-related issues and liaise with developers when needed.
· Identify opportunities for operational improvement and innovation, and present these to senior stakeholders.
· Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance, working with the Estates team and Technicians where required.
· Manage cloud services, IT providers and hardware procurement to support organisational needs.
· Implement and enforce IT policies and best practices.
· Work collaboratively with the People and Culture team to manage digital processes associated with new starters / leavers.

Digital Platform Management:

The role
The Office Manager is a key role assisting the Director of Finance and Resources, in the delivery of a high quality and continuously improving service.

Office and IT responsibilities
■ To create and maintain a professional and efficient office environment.

Duties and key responsibilities
1. Support and Information
- To deliver the Sarcoma UK Support Line, a confidential telephone and email support and information service for anyone affected by sarcoma. This includes:

Our Science Leadership Program (SLP) is how Schmidt Science Fellows, working across the world, come together in fellowship to build the skills, experience, and networks required to become interdisciplinary science leaders.
The Science Leadership Program consists of three ~7-day convenings each year held in locations around the globe, including but not limited to Northern California, Boston, and Oxford, UK.
Each SLP convening includes workshops and interactive sessions on topics such as managing diverse teams, effective communication and storytelling, resilience and risk-taking, and strategic problem-solving. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Manager to help drive the success of our flagship Science Leadership Program through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution. Reporting to the SLP Director - who leads the overall vision, design, and delivery of the Program - you will play a key role in ensuring its operational and programmatic excellence, collaborating to create an outstanding experience for participants.

Key Responsibilities
• Program Design & Implementation:
o Act as a key liaison point for speakers, partners, and stakeholders, coordinating communication, scheduling, and pre-event logistics; contribute to preparatory meetings to ensure alignment on session objectives and program expectations.
o Lead the design and distribution of key SLP content—including session briefing documents, welcome packs, seating charts, and feedback surveys to enhance the convening experience.
o Work with the Events and Operations Teams to help in the coordination of event logistics, including detailing AV and room setting needs, developing staffing plans, and contributing to event-related project trackers.
o Develop and implement inclusive and engaging activities to support community building among the active cohort.
o Manage the operational planning and logistics of virtual community sessions across the year.

o Develop an enhanced feedback approach to evaluate program effectiveness and participant engagement, including the creation of targeted survey questions and evaluation metrics.

• Communications:
o Collaborate with the Communications Manager to support the effective delivery of the SLPs, including drafting engaging event content, curation and posting of content for our website and internal Hub site, and contributing to relevant communications channels.
• Budget tracking and Administration:
o Assist the SLP Director in managing the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and responsibly.
o Help to track expenses and monitor financial performance in line with the program’s budget. Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure all invoices are processed and paid.
• Science Leadership Program Support on the Ground:
o Attend all SLPs for the full duration, arriving up to two days ahead of time to ensure logistics are in place.
o Provide on-the-ground coordination support to the Fellows, SLP Director, and Events Team to ensure successful delivery of the convenings, including greeting speakers, helping with room set up, and responding to Fellow and other needs as they arise.

• Attend all Science Leadership Programs for the entire duration, arriving 2 to 3 days ahead to ensure logistics are in place and remaining ½ to one day after to support post-SLP logistics.
• We operate across two core hub offices, with teams based in both Oxford, UK, and Washington, D.C. and we work with Science Leadership Program delivery partners in California and various cities in North America. We are searching for a Chief of Staff to play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director and driving forward strategic projects that are core to the operations of UWC International and the future of the UWC movement. As a trusted advisor, the Chief of Staff will enhance the effectiveness of the Executive Director by analysing complex issues, synthesising information, and preparing recommendations. They will oversee cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with UWC’s 2030 strategy, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define success, establish momentum, and transition initiatives to the appropriate UWC International Office teams.
This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving and project management skills, as well as the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence across all levels of the organisation. The UWC International Office serves as the operational arm of UWC International, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity, and stands as a pivotal entity within the UWC movement. nasen is a registered charity with a powerful mission to support and develop the workforce that operate in the Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) sector of education. By ensuring the SEND workforce are fully equipped to meet the needs of learners with SEND, we create sustainable, positive change in the lives of children and young adults. Alongside our specialised SEND CPD training we offer for free, we also run a trading arm that generates vital income and directly supports our charitable endeavours. Our trading activities encompass sales of online CPD, accredited courses, consultancy, and statutory projects.
As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Sales and Marketing to lead and oversee the integrated marketing and sales strategies for both our charity initiatives and trading arm. This role is essential to advancing our revenue generation, building strong relationships with supporters, and amplifying our mission-driven goals. You will be pivotal in ensuring that our marketing campaigns and sales efforts work cohesively to enhance our reputation, grow our customer base, and increase revenue, all while maintaining alignment with our charitable values.
Position Overview:
The Head of Sales and Marketing will provide strategic leadership for all marketing and sales efforts across both the charity’s operations and its trading arm. You will be responsible for managing and executing a comprehensive strategy to boost visibility, increase revenue, and foster long-term engagement with both sponsors and customers. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, sales expertise, and marketing creativity, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and integrate commercial goals with the charity’s mission.
As part of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Fundraising, Development, Education, and operations teams to shape the nasen’s public-facing presence. You will be instrumental in maximising our dual revenue streams: fundraising for our charitable programs via events, and sales from our trading activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Integration
- Develop and implement an integrated sales and marketing strategy for both the charity’s mission-driven goals and its commercial activities. Ensure the strategy drives the growth of both revenue from trading and funds raised for the charity’s projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set clear, actionable goals for both the charity’s impact and its trading arm’s performance, aligning these objectives with broader organisational priorities.
- Analyse market conditions and trends, including competitor analysis, to identify opportunities and optimise marketing efforts, ensuring we remain agile and responsive to market demands.
- Lead the development of annual marketing plans, considering key events, fundraising activity, the academic calendar, and product launches for the trading arm.
- Ensure that marketing campaigns reflect both the charitable mission and the commercial interests of the trading arm, maintaining a balance between profitability and mission-driven messaging.
- Design and execute a route to market strategy that integrates all the charity's revenue-generating and charitable activities, ensuring products/services reach the right target audiences through optimal channels.
- Evaluate sales channels and assess whether there are further opportunities for direct-to-consumer sales, commercial partnerships, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing models that could expand market reach for both charity donations and commercial sales.
2. Marketing and Brand Development
- Lead the overall brand strategy, ensuring consistency and alignment across the charity’s marketing, digital, and communications efforts, both for the charitable initiatives and the trading arm.
- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including digital content, print materials, advertising, and promotional campaigns that resonate with both sponsors and customers.
- Guide the development of integrated marketing campaigns that incorporate both charity-related content and the trading arm’s product offerings, reinforcing the message of social good while promoting commercial activities.
- Supervise digital marketing efforts, including website optimisation (SEO), social media strategies, and email marketing, to increase traffic, raise awareness, and drive conversions for both donations and product sales.
- Enhance public relations efforts, cultivating strong relationships with media outlets to ensure positive press coverage of both the charity’s work and the trading activities.
3. Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
- Develop and drive sales strategies for the charity’s trading arm, including pricing, promotions, customer segmentation, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the education team to create and market new product lines or services, ensuring they align with the charity’s values while meeting the needs and preferences of customers.
- Oversee the development and execution of sales funnels and customer acquisition strategies to increase conversion rates, sales volume, and customer retention.
- Implement loyalty and retention programs that encourage repeat purchases from customers of the trading arm and foster long-term engagement.
- Monitor sales performance, ensuring alignment with set targets, and provide timely adjustments to campaigns, product offerings, and pricing strategies to maximise revenue.
- Work with fundraising teams to ensure synergies between donation drives and trading promotions, leveraging the strength of both income sources.
4. Sponsor and Customer Engagement
- Develop effective strategies for sponsor stewardship, ensuring ongoing engagement with supporters through personalised communication, recognition programs, and impactful storytelling that ties the trading arm’s products to the charity’s mission.
- Utilise customer relationship management (CRM) systems to create tailored communication plans and deepen engagement with both sponsors and customers, encouraging more frequent and larger sponsorship or purchases.
- Foster a community of loyal supporters and customers, turning first-time buyers into repeat purchasers, and sponsors into long-term, committed advocates.
- Design campaigns that target both customers and sponsors, converting customers into sponsors by emphasising the positive social impact of their purchases, and vice versa.
5. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead a dynamic team of sales, marketing, and digital professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the marketing and sales teams, with a focus on creativity, accountability, and shared success.
- Manage and nurture relationships with external partners, agencies, and contractors to supplement the in-house team’s efforts and bring in specialised expertise as needed.
- Encourage continuous learning and innovation within the team, allowing for fresh marketing and sales techniques to be tested and implemented.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new marketing team members as needed to scale efforts in line with the organisation’s growth.
6. Campaigns, Events, and Partnerships
- Plan and execute high impact fundraising campaigns, combining both digital and offline channels, including social media, email, PR, events, and influencer partnerships.
- Oversee the organisation of charity events, sales promotions, and product launches that raise awareness for the charity’s mission and drive sales.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, influencers, retail partners, and community organisations to extend reach and enhance fundraising opportunities.
- Develop marketing strategies for key seasonal and high-traffic events (e.g. Black Friday or January Sales), ensuring the charity and trading arm are both prominently featured.
7. Data Analytics and Performance Reporting
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the marketing and sales efforts across the charity and trading arm, with a strong focus on return on investment (ROI) for campaigns and product sales.
- Regularly analyse marketing data, tracking performance across channels, evaluating campaign results, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for future growth.
- Conduct customer and sponsor behaviour analysis, utilising insights to adjust marketing and sales strategies and improve targeting.
8. Budget Management
- Oversee the marketing and sales budget for both the charity and trading operations, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to maximise both financial contribution and the nasen’s mission.
- Monitor expenditure to ensure all campaigns are delivered within budget, making recommendations where necessary and full analysis on ROI.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a senior sales and marketing role, ideally with experience managing both non-profit and commercial sales efforts.
- Proven track record of successfully leading integrated marketing campaigns and driving revenue growth in both the charity and ecommerce sectors.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, including pricing, product development, customer acquisition and retention.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, managing external agencies, and collaborating with senior leadership to meet organisational goals.
