Job Summary:
Pete’s Dragons is an award-winning charity which provides postvention support to those affected by suicide.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person that would like to help develop and grow the charity’s fundraising capacity.
The role will involve nuturing relationships with funders & partners, assisting with the logistics of fundraising events, liaison of volunteers, day-to-day running of social media profiles across multiple platforms and providing administration support to funding projects.
Ideally, we are looking for someone to take on this role with a view to engaging in training & development which will support a step up to being a Fundraising Lead.

Role Specific
- Manage existing and support new fundraising events, including attendance at events where required.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with sponsored event participants and community fundraisers.
- Provide administrative support for community events.
- Manage the Pete’s Dragons CRM system ensuring all fundraising information is recorded accurately in a timely manner.
- · Respond to general enquiries relating to community and events fundraising.

- Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all callers and visitors to the Pete’s Dragons office.
- Receive queries by telephone and email, responding appropriately by providing basic information about Pete’s Dragons services; recording and referring to the appropriate team; or signposting to other services where necessary.
Organisational Responsibilities

- Work flexibly to best meet the needs of the service which may include undertaking occasional evening and weekend work.

The postholder is responsible for the strategic leadership, development and management of all fundraising and commercial activity for Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT). The key areas of focus will be:
- Developing and implementing a fundraising strategy, to support CACT strategic objectives

About the Role

Your role
We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and ambitious team, and to play an integral role in growing fundraising activity across Surrey.
Job Purpose:
The post holder must have a minimum of two years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.

General Statement of Duties
The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital has a loyal donor base, and we are now able to grow the major donor portfolio significantly to build our long-term sustainable income. The Grants & Partnerships Officer will lead on delivering a best-practice grant-giving programme as part of a wider major donor programme.
Alongside the Executive Head of the UK Office, the Grants & Partnerships Officer will develop new major donors prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies as part of a wider fundraising strategy.
This is a key role within a small and dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a professional, ambitious, solutions-based approach with a track record of fundraising success. They will be ready for and excited by the challenge of building up a major donor programme.
Main Responsibilities
To deliver a successful grant-giving programme and devise and deliver new prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet agreed targets, including:
· Establishing and managing strong relationships with past, current and prospective grant-giving organisations, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.
· Understanding all prospective and current donor profiles, and their motivations and communication styles. Formulating personalised cultivation and stewardship plans.
· Set up and maintain regular communications with all grant-giving donors and prospects, tailoring this as required to strengthen their relationship with us.
· Support and facilitate the Trustees and Senior Leadership Team in developing relationships with grant-giving bodies and prospects, and in how to manage these relationships to facilitate donations.
· Use creativity and adaptive thinking to develop a new and exciting programme of cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and activities to engage prospects and donors in our work and to support these key relationships. Work with internal teams and senior volunteers to deliver events and activities to the highest standard.
· Developing and refining the internal systems needed to run a smooth and efficient grant-giving programme such as data management, internal communications, and reporting.
· Know and understand the longer-term financial strategy of the organisation and work with the Finance Director and Executive Head of UK Office to ensure the appropriate identification of funding needs.
· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office and other colleagues as required to develop compelling cases for support and funding packages that channel funds to where the need is greatest and that ensure our financial security.
· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office to manage the grant-getting budget to ensure the successful and cost-effective delivery of annual activities and understand and follow finance related procedures such as income forecasting, reporting and Gift Aid.
· Support and deputise for the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising), as required, to establish and manage strong relationships with past, current, and prospective community donors and partners, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.
· Provide project support as required to the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising) to ensure the successful implementation of community engagement and fundraising programmes.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent career experience.
· Minimum of 3-years’ fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record of developing stakeholder and donor relationships with a responsibility for securing a minimum of six-figure gifts from grant-making bodies.
· Experience of working with high-value Trusts & Foundations.
· An exceptional and eloquent communicator, both written and verbal communications skills, and a natural relationship builder, you will have solid experience of presenting, negotiating, networking, and influencing.
· Experience of working to and commitment to achieving financial targets.
· Understanding of the principles and best practice of fundraising including Data Protection, ideally within humanitarian and/or international organisations.
·A self-starter with initiative, confidence, exacting standards, drive, and flexibility.
· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office systems.
· Ability to work outside of contracted hours, as required.
· Ability to travel overseas, as required, and represent SJEHG at events and functions.
Desirable:
· Experience of raising funds within the humanitarian and/or international organisations.

We are working in partnership with Weston Hospicecare, a highly regarded local charity founded by the local community over 30 years ago. They are the major provider of specialist palliative care in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, and Sedgemoor, providing free of charge physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care to local people.
A new Director of Fundraising is sought to provide inspiring leadership to the fundraising function of Weston Hospicecare, implementing a fundraising strategy that will build voluntary income from its current level of £2 million per annum to provide long-term and sustainable income sources for the Hospice. About this role
This new role, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is an exciting opportunity to join our team who have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for almost 40 years. As we look to the future, we need to consider new opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to build a strong, resilient network of third-sector organisations in Swindon and the surrounding area.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the trustees, staff, volunteers and members to develop and deliver against a Strategic Business Plan.
- To act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.
- Take responsibility for diversifying fundraising, grants and income streams in line with the strategy and business development plan, be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience
- Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.

Other information
This post will be a hybrid role with some time spent in the Centre in Gorse Hill, Swindon, some remote work, and attendance at meetings and events in the Swindon area - this could include evenings and weekends.
