We are looking for individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding role helping to change the lives of young people by taking up a permanent role as a part-time Programme Support Tutor. You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.
The main duties of the role
To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.
- To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
- To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery.
- To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
- To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks.
- To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes.
- To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act, Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety.

- 16 hours per week
- Monday, Thursday 14:00-18:00; Tues, Weds 13:30-17:30
- Local school term-times only (excluding public holidays)

You will be employed 188 days (of 4 hours each) per year, made up as follows:
- 164 days of work (inclusive of additional days below)
- 18 days of paid annual leave (to be taken outside of local school term times and on any bank holidays occurring during term time). For the avoidance of doubt, non-working time during school holidays which is in excess of your holiday entitlement shall be unpaid.
Additional 32 hours (or 8 days of 4 hours each)
These will be agreed between you and your line-manager, and may include days during school holidays. They will typically include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting and the annual staff conference. These will be pro-rated based on when you join in the academic year.

About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.
It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team supports these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms/bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.
The role:
We are seeking a Care Administrator to work alongside our Senior Care Administrator, offering clerical support to our nursing and family support teams. The role involves providing administrative support for our Care Leadership Team, maintaining accurate care records, supporting referral and allocation processes and most importantly being a first point of contact for children and families accessing the hospice.
The requirements:
To fulfil the role effectively you will be an organised and caring person, with excellent attention to detail and able to work flexibly and collaboratively across the care services.
You will ideally have experience of working in an environment with children and families who have complex needs but this is not essential.

About the role
The role supports the Futuremakers RISE Kenya Programme in its implementation, ensuring all activities are inclusive and responsive to the needs of persons with disabilities and marginalised groups. This is a full-time internship for 12 months (November 2024 - October 2025), from Monday to Friday. The role involves working within the Kenya Country Office team and the Futuremakers Programme team to support day-to-day programme implementation, coordination with partners and other NGOs, attending meetings and making follow-ups, and participating in awareness and advocacy initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure activities are implemented in line with the approved workplan.
- Support the mobilisation, selection, training, follow-up, and monitoring of job seekers with disabilities in capacity-building initiatives such as Accenture S2S, Yusudi, and IT Bridge Academy.
- Assist in the day-to-day engagement of the Bridge IT Academy at NITA and the virtual CCST project.
- Work with the programme team to maintain up-to-date participant and employer databases.
- Convene and attend partners and stakeholders’ meetings as assigned.
- Collaborate with partners to plan and coordinate awareness activities.
- Identify enablers to achieving set objectives with the programme team.
- Support advocacy initiatives.
- Liaise with government agencies, partners, and NGOs.

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Key Duties:
Lead work on providing an information service for Healthwatch Camden, helping to ensure that it is readily accessible and can effectively direct people to the support or advice they need to access services or make choices about services.
-Lead on providing information to residents via our phone and emails, signposting and offering advice where available.
-Assisting projects and events formed by the Projects Lead and Engagement Lead.
-Ensure that our information resources are up to date and user-friendly.
-Take minutes and notes from Healthwatch Camden board and team meetings.
-Work with colleagues to plan and use appropriate approaches to evidence gathering and to brief and support volunteers.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed hours of Monday to Friday 5pm to 9pm.
As a Helpline Adviser you will be: -
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
- Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
- Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
- Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
- Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.
You will need:
- Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
- Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
- The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.
- The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, including telephone skills
- Knowledge and understanding of:
- Relevant agencies and resources
- Importance of confidentiality and safe working practice
- Diversity issues and principles
- The impact of crime

his role delivers one to one case work including ongoing support to resolve both immediate and crisis situations, in the main relating to welfare benefits, referring to appropriate support agencies and other ICCM services promoting a multiagency approach. The aim of the service is to empower people through access to appropriate support services and improve quality of life, health and wellbeing.
· Delivering client focused, culturally appropriate support services for the benefit of members of the Irish community in Manchester on an appointment office basis, drop in service, and on outreach for those with mobility issues facilitating access to mainstream health, housing, education and employment services.
- To provide support to members of the Irish community who are vulnerable through age, poor physical or mental health, homelessness, risk of homelessness, drug/alcohol use, offending, hate crime, social and cultural isolation etc.
- To complete an initial assessment of Service Users’ needs, presenting issues and risks, making onward referrals to statutory and other voluntary support agencies as appropriate for people to access specialist support
- An understanding of how to deal with people who have experienced trauma.
- Inputting all client based work onto the CMS; maintaining accurate and up to date case files and reporting.
- To facilitate the successful running of ICCM’s health and well being activities as required.
- To promote the wider work of ICCM, facilitating pathways to support where needed.
- To be aware of and maintain best practice in safeguarding.
- To commit to continuous professional development and keep up to date with best practise in the sector.
- To attend relevant training, conferences and seminars locally, regionally and nationally as directed by line manager.
- To participate and engage in supervision and appraisal provided by the manager
