The Supporter Relations Team plays a pivotal role in building relationships with our supporters and assisting our fundraising team to raise vital funds that will support our mission to beat blood cancer within a generation. We’re hiring a Communications Assistant to play a critical role in LICC’s skilled and enthusiastic Communications Team, helping it deliver its day-to-day responsibilities and contributing to the growth and impact of LICC’s mission.
The successful candidate will get stuck in with a wide range of tasks including web and email design and build, social media content generation and management, podcast management, press office activity, and more.
The Communications Team exists to ensure LICC’s vision and offering are clearly communicated both to those who already follow us and to new strategic audiences. As Communications Assistant, you’ll help thousands of Christians discover how God is working through them in their everyday lives – and play a key role in connecting them to resources and training that will equip them to make a difference with Jesus right where they are.
This is a part-time (two days per week), fixed-term, maternity cover role, running from September 2024 to August 2025. It can be fulfilled remotely, though the post-holder may choose to work in LICC’s central London office if they wish. If the post-holder is working remotely, they will be required to attend the office at least one Tuesday per month. The role’s hours can be distributed flexibly across the week; however, due to the schedule of work required, the post-holder must be able to work on Thursday afternoons.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Finance Assistant will support the Finance Team, providing financial and administrative services for our business. The Finance team sits within our Central Services division.
Central Services ensures the company operates smoothly and assists in working towards Enables strategic direction. Supporting the various services that make up Enable, Central Services consists of small and high output teams including Human Resources, Marcomms, Operations and Finance. Together, these teams make up the foundation of our business, driving our mission and fostering growth and development.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and receivables: controls and processes
- Processing purchase invoices: entering and coding invoices (including VAT) in Xero managing the approval workflow (by cost centre budget holders) as required
- Setting up weekly payment runs, expense pay runs and individual payments as required
- Maintaining the aged purchase ledger ensuring invoices are accounted for on receipt and tracked through to payment
- Supplier set-up: ensure appropriate supplier information is obtained
- Raising sales and recharge invoices on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Bank reconciliation process
- Posting cash journals to record payments/receipts from bank statements into the ledger
- Processing and posting payroll journal
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and other standard month end processes
- Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit process
- Assisting with general finance-related inquiries and correspondence received via the generic finance email inbox.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of Purchase Ledger, Sale Ledger and General Ledger management including month end processes
- Experience of bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Supplier management
- Proficiency in MS Office, Xero and other accountancy packages
- Attention to detail
- Good communication
- Ability to meet deadlines

About the Operations and Facilities Assistant role
We are seeking an Operations and Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Senior Operations & Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation’s administrative systems and day to day activities.
This role supports the work of the whole organisation – acting as our receptionist, as well as supporting on a wide range of administrative tasks across HR, systems, IT, and building management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
PA Support to the CEO (estimated 30% of the role)
- Effective diary management for the CEO:
- Corresponding with internal and external contacts to arrange meetings
- Ensuring CEO time is managed with a mixture of meetings and space for desk work
- Maintaining an overview of upcoming appointments for the CEO and highlighting upcoming meetings to the CEO

- Support with the scheduling and planning of SMT meetings, including by ensuring SMT agenda dovetails effectively with that of the Board.
- Produce meeting briefings and powerpoint slides to support CEO engagement.
Governance Support (estimated 40% of the role)
- Support for Board, Committee and Senior Management Team meetings, including:
- Scheduling meetings and room bookings
- Maintaining the annual Board schedule of meetings and deadlines for papers
- Coordinating the production of Board and Committee meeting papers, ensuring these are shared with all trustees and relevant staff ahead of meetings
- Minute meetings board, committee and other relevant meetings
- Ensure Board portal is up to date and accessible for all trustees
- Keep track of actions resulting from Board and Committee meetings and offer support for these to be completed by members of the Senior Management Team and CEO as agreed.
- Contribute to effective board governance, ensuring relevant policies and documentation are in place.
- Support recruitment of new trustees and chair and lead on inductions.
Provide HR administration and operations support to Bond (estimated 30% of the role)
- Provide operations support to members of the senior management team, including:
- Support with credit card returns and expenses claims
- Scheduling meetings and room bookings and event organisation
- Work with the People and Operations Team to provide additional administrative support when required.
- Lead on implementation of HR or Operations initiatives, in collaboration with the People and Operations team.
- Lead on and/or support any longer-term projects relevant to the role.
- Such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

We are an ambitious hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising & Events Assistant.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire: Lister Hospital (Stevenage), New QEII (Welwyn Garden City), Hertford County Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (Northwood). About you
Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. Ideally you will be looking for 37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events. We will consider applicants who are looking for 20+ hours. Although the job is currently on a 7 month contract, there is a strong potential to extend for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
· Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post
· Represent the charity at internal and external events which includes attending third party and charity owned events, school presentations & promotional activities, this will include some evenings and weekends.
· Manage all event bookings for the Hospital charity corner area. Ensuring area is booked and that stallholders are sent guidelines and relevant certificates sought from suppliers and provide support on the day
· Process one-off and regular donations from both online and offline sources ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database
· To assist the fundraisers with administration of staff lottery, gifts in kind, raffle and prize led promotion and fundraising as required including managing gift drives.
· Create an equipment inventory, monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to order/receive goods necessary for carrying out team fundraising activities (using oracle)
· Support the team with staff initiatives and giveaways including setting up ballots on the charity website
· Visit all our hospitals regularly to support the team with fundraising activities and ensure our branding is visible and up to date
· Ensure the database is kept accurate and up-to-date by recording changes including mailing preferences, address details and financial information
· To manage all collection boxes in the community, ensuring they are logged in and out correctly and recorded on the database. To work with the fundraisers to increase income in this area
· Thank individual supporters and organisations timely and courteous manner and record these communications on the database. This includes sending out fundraising packs, event invitations and event confirmations.
· To recruit and manage volunteers, ensuring they undertake rewarding tasks which are both motivational for the volunteer and cost effective for the charity
· To support the Marketing and Communications Manager by generating content for marketing purposes including social media and producing basic marketing materials

This role
We are recruiting for a new role providing EA support to the CEO and administrative support across the organisation.
Justice and Care is at an exciting moment with the imminent launch of a new ten-year strategy and this role will be a key part of our team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing finance division. Role and Responsibilities
Supporting the wider finance team, you will:
Accounts Payable
- Assume complete ownership of employee expenditure: processing and posting transactions to the accounting system weekly.
- Manage supplier payments, including collecting and processing invoices before posting to the accounting system on a weekly basis.
- Communicate with suppliers and staff regarding expected payment dates of invoices.
- Monitor the payables ledger to ensure invoices are paid on a timely basis.
Accounts Receivable
- Process donations received through various payment methods onto the accounting system.
- Process gift aid claims when appropriate.
Management Accounting
- Post journals to the accounting system as required.
- Assist with the month-end processing and reporting.
- Assist with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet.
- Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of evidence for annual audit.
- Contribute ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure the organisation remains compliant with local council requirements.
- Contribute to the office management committee to maintain standards of office tidiness.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the team.
Personal specification
The ideal candidate will be a positive, bright and talented professional with a desire to develop finance skills within a dynamic and growing charity. Significant accounting experience or accounting qualifications are not essential as Blue Marine will provide training and financial support towards professional studies. Skills and Experience (Essential)
- A-Level qualifications in a relevant subject.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong MS Office skills in Excel and Outlook.

- Experience of using a computerised accounting package(s).
- Bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant experience including AP/AR processing.

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm core working hours.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Administrative and Logistical Support Specialist. This role has two distinct areas of responsibility: providing administrative and logistical support for the smooth running of our London office (70%) and assisting with the general operations of the Trustees, including coordination of Board meetings (30%). The balance of these responsibilities may vary on a day-to-day basis.
This role requires a candidate who is well-organised, adaptable, and proactive. About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker) to join the team. You will develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.
You'll be joining the growing teams across The Hammersmith and Fulham Housing Pathway, a Supported Accommodation Pathway which includes vital services such as semi-independent, gender specific safe spaces and services for people with complex support needs. This role is at The Coninghams, which is a 31 bed complex needs accommodation.
Our aim is to support people who have recently been sleeping rough, or who may be experiencing long term homelessness and work with them to develop the skills, networks and confidence to live independently in the community.
In this role you will jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and provide basic support and advice to clients. You will be the first point of contact at Reception for clients and visitors and have the opportunity to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. You will coordinate Health and Safety checks and administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person centred support to residents and clients.
About you
This role is ideal for people looking to develop a career in the sector; a number of current Managers started their career as Duty Workers. In addition you will have:
- Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment and good communication skills.
- Personal experience of homelessness and/or an understanding of and empathy with the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
- A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make positive changes in their life, and the willingness to develop these valuable skills.
