This is a 6-8 week contract based in London. The role is hybrid with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Marketing Officer is a key member of the Marketing Team. The role-holder will manage communications, as well as the channels and platforms used to deliver them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting regular email builds and sending communications across various channels
- Supporting engagement activity on social media platforms
- Updating website content and publishing newsletters
- Content updates across various platforms
Person Specification:
- Enthusiastic and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Experience of using email platforms, website content management systems (CMS) and customer databases (CRM)
This is paying £125 - £133 per day including Holiday Pay

The Jack Petchey Foundation, a grant-making foundation dedicated to inspiring and motivating young people across London and Essex through exciting projects and programmes, is seeking a Partnerships Officer to join their team in London
The Role
This dynamic role involves working closely with the Partnerships Manager to manage relationships and programme support for grantees and partner organisations, as well as deliver the annual Jack Petchey Internship Programme.
The Partnerships Officer will oversee a portfolio of partnership grants, support the delivery of annual internship grants, and manage intern development programmes. They will maintain positive and supportive relationships with grant partners and serve as the primary contact for interns and their host organisations.
Key responsibilities include grant assessments and management, handling stakeholder enquiries, maintaining established relationships, arranging events and ensuring the smooth operation of programmes.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be an efficient and highly organised team player with exceptional programme/project management skills, grant-making experience, and strong communication and relationship management abilities. A passion for the Foundation's mission is essential.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining long-term relationships and, ideally, experience with grant-making and funded programmes in settings focused on youth or community development. An understanding of creating positive change and inspiring outcomes is crucial.

About Black Cultural Archives (The BCA)
Inspired by Pan-African civil rights leader Queen Mother Moore, our founders established Black Cultural Archives in 1981 with a mission to create Britain's first archive-museum dedicated to representing the culture and history of Black people in Britain. Today we are a national institution dedicated to collecting, preserving, and celebrating the histories of Black people in Britain in order inspire and give strength to society. Our work falls into three areas: Collect and Activate - covering the work of our collections team to make our archive materials accessible for research and knowledge production, Educate and Inspire= covering the work of our learning team and workforce development projects to support Black history education and heritage skills development, and Celebrate and Champion - covering our exhibition and events programme that encourages engagement with the knowledge held within our archives.
What we need from you
As a talented fundraiser, developing new business across various income streams, you will possess fantastic written and verbal communication skills, and have a proven ability to successfully apply these to a range of products and audiences in order to increase income.
You will be able to balance the needs of the audience and organisation and ideally, you'll also have some experience of managing events, and genuinely care about giving outstanding support to your stakeholders in order to generate more money.
You will grow to understand our potential donor pool and hold a vital role in planning events and coordinating other activities to encourage donations and help us move toward our vision of being the home of Black British history. You will work with a close-knit, enthusiastic team under the Managing Director to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
You will have a proven track record of generating income by writing high-value trusts and foundation proposals and the ability to build and influence relationships at all levels. You will be a creative and emotive storyteller with the ability to work independently and proactively.

Together, we are looking for an ambitious Trusts and Foundations Manager to cultivate and develop relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve their strategy as they pursue new projects and reach more beneficiaries.
The role is key in maximising income from charitable trusts and foundations, collaborating across the Ri to develop innovative and compelling proposals, delivering excellent account management and stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects.
You will develop cultivation strategies for current and prospective charitable trusts and foundations and research relevant trusts and grant making bodies to prepare, write and submit applications. You will use your outstanding relationship building skills to build relationships with Trust and Foundations that are new or lapsed and create opportunities to introduce the work of the Ri.
Key skills include:
- Proven experience across trusts & foundations fundraising activity

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary rescues abandoned, neglected, or abused horses and ponies, offering them sanctuary for life. In each of our five peaceful sanctuaries in Devon, we unlock a world of natural, wild beauty where horses, ponies, and people who were struggling can enjoy life again.
Our compassionate and knowledgeable team cares for nearly 200 horses and ponies at our sanctuaries. Additionally, over 400 horses and ponies are rehomed and offered sanctuary at home by our dedicated carers.
