Main purposes of the job

• Managing The Vavengers social media channels. Mainly Instagram, X, and LinkedIn with development opportunities on Facebook and TikTok.

• Co-managing our Squarespace website, keeping it up-to-date and accessible for our range of audiences. 

• Creating a range of graphic design artwork in digital and print, including but not limited to: social media assets, event branding, marketing materials and educational resources. 

Key tasks

• Planning and executing creative content across The Vavengers media channels. Telling the story of the organisation and our community, engaging with supporters and growing awareness on relevant topics. 

• Keeping our external-facing touchpoints up to date and on brand: website, social media, printed materials and merchandise.

• Providing or sourcing designed materials for the team and our community.

• Exploring creative engagement opportunities for The Vavengers.

• Being flexible and reactive to the needs of the small organisation, knowing when to prioritise your role or fulfil different tasks for the benefit of the team. 

• Documenting events and campaigning activities for social media and charitable marketing purposes.

We are delighted to be recruiting for a part time Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator to work at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2025, working 25 hours per week, or approximately 3 days. 

The role

The purpose of the Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator role is to build a team of volunteers from the Royal Hospital Chelsea community, veteran community (including spouses of Service personnel) and wider area to support the activities in our new Visitor, Outreach and Heritage Centre. Working closely with our Volunteer Manager, the Co-ordinator will organise volunteer recruitment days and events to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their invaluable contribution.

The successful candidate will also develop a work experience programme for young people. This includes internships, opportunities for Master’s students to undertake project based work, rolling work experience opportunities and events for local people to engage with the Royal Hospital’s heritage.

The post-holder will sit within the new Audience Engagement team, working closely with volunteers and partners, such as Chelsea Pensioner tour and museum guides, other universities offering heritage programmes, local secondary schools and academies, and the project’s design team.

RISE is pleased to be seeking candidates for a skilled professional within our housing team.  We are offering EITHER a Caseworker role OR a Team Leader Role.  The post is funded until the end of August 2025, with extension possible depending on funding.

Option One:  Housing Support and Sanctuary Scheme Caseworker

This role will suit you if you like the idea of problem-solving housing challenges with vulnerable victims of domestic abuse and have relevant experience of support work and/or are familiar with housing-related issues.  You will be part of a small team helping survivors to secure appropriate housing and to enhance the security of their living arrangements via the Sanctuary scheme with the help of funding from Brighton & Hove Council and our dedicated security contractors.  The post will suit a proactive, empowering, and collaborative worker.

Option Two: Senior Housing Support and Sanctuary Scheme Caseworker / Team Leader

This post will deliver support as above whilst also co-ordinating and leading the Housing Team, providing management support, casework guidance and working as an integral part of RISE’s management team.

About the role

About The Role

This is an exciting time to join African Adventures. With significant growth plans over the next few years, the Programmes Officer will oversee the planning, development and delivery of our core charitable programmes. They will work closely with our in-country teams to ensure we are directing funding to the right places in the communities we work with, and provide vital reporting information to help facilitate this. About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustrans team as part of the Delivery and Collaborative Design team. 

As the Project delivery Assistant, you will work with the Delivery Coordinator and Project officer in providing support on a variety of projects that promote active travel in communities, workplaces and educational settings. You will also support the recruitment and development of volunteers in the area.

This varied role will see you working in partnership with local authorities, community groups and schools around the region along with volunteers and third sector organisations to increase walking wheeling and cycling activities and commutes, increase levels of public health and wellbeing. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

The Education Team work with more than 150 schools across Sussex to live out the Education vision in the Diocese of being “Deeply Christian, serving the common good”.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Voluntary Aided schools and academies to assist in the management of capital funded projects and the administration of the School Condition Allocation fund. You will work closely with schools to make sure that they’re meeting their legal obligations around the maintenance of school buildings.

We are looking for a part-time Project Officer to work closely with the Capital Assets Programme Manager to:

• Administer and monitor the School Condition Allocation funding programme for Voluntary Aided schools
• Manage project spend and commitments to make sure that projects and budgets are on delivered on-cost and that all financial administration is completed - from reconciling project expenditure, preparing invoices and chasing debt to ensuring invoices are correct and in line with contracts
• Provide support to develop capital projects to help make improvements to schools in conjunction with local authorities and schools

• Experience of managing, monitoring and implementing projects
• Strong administrative and financial skills and the ability to manage and reconcile large budgets

Role Purpose:

As the Pathway Coordinator – Hospital Discharge you will work closely with colleagues within the Wellbeing Collaborative and across the organisation, to develop and deliver our innovative offer in the acute hospitals and community reablement across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, to co-create local solutions enabling the community to better access the support the voluntary and community sector (VCS) has to offer.

The role will see you: 

• Interact with patients on a face-to-face basis, actively listen and understand their needs ahead of leaving hospital.
• Provide connection to appropriate community support, ahead of discharge. Helping them to return home safely, avoid re-admittance and stay healthy and independent for longer.
• Following a referral from hospital teams, ahead of discharge.
• Develop relationships with professional teams including the Discharge Coordinators and Discharge Key Workers
• Engage in multi-disciplinary discussions in relation to community support available post discharge.
• Work with colleagues efficiently and effectively to distribute one-off wellbeing grants to enable discharge from hospital in a safe and timely manner.
• Identify and highlight gaps in provision at point of discharge from hospital, and work with community groups to identify how best they could support.
• Support the team in the trialling of integrated volunteering into community wellbeing pathways.
• Work as part of the team on a duty roster for a minimum 2 days a week signposting people and professionals to relevant local community service providers.
• Work with the team to monitor and evaluate the Wellbeing Collaborative to ensure our objectives are achieved and evidenced.
• Support the Pathway Coordinator Team Lead to implement a robust and effective communications strategy which not only champions and promotes the work CAN does but also its members.

About you:

You’ll have a good understanding of the work of an umbrella infrastructure such as CAN and the benefits the voluntary and community sector (VCS) can and do bring the community.   You’ll understand how the local public sector works with the VCS including BCP Council, NHS Dorset, Public Health and have a desire to see them working more efficiently and effectively together.

As a people person with great interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to build and maintain excellent professional relationships with a wide range of people from a range of background to connect and develop solutions which meet people’s needs.

Experience within acute and/or community hospital, reablement services or community signposting would be an advantage, but full training will be given for the right candidate.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer to improve representation across the sector and create change in government policy and practice. You will be supported to develop as a specialist lawyer and in your policy skills.

Responsibilities will include:

· Deliver one-off advice to adult LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and work with colleagues to refer them to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers

· Provide casework assistance e.g. helping to prepare witness statements, making referrals to other specialist organisations and taking other urgent steps (whilst not representing service users or maintaining a caseload)

· Provide occasional advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users such as asylum support, legal aid, trafficking, family reunion or community care

· Deliver second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and other charities and professionals

· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals

· Write blogs and articles on asylum and immigration policy and legislation as they apply to LGBTQI+ people

· Contribute to policy and briefing papers

· Assist with preparing guidelines and briefings for legal services and pro bono lawyers

The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Previous experience of being a Trustee is not necessary as a full induction and ongoing support will be provided.

Board meetings and time commitment

The Board ordinarily meets four times per year in March, May, August and November. Two of these meetings are held remotely via video call on a Saturday, and two are held in person in London across weekends. In addition, Trustees are encouraged to join a Committee relevant to their area of expertise which meets at least once per quarter via video call. An appropriate time commitment will be required over the course of the year for preparative work between meetings. Trustees are also invited to attend occasional charity events and join recruitment panels on an ad hoc basis.

Following a probationary period where Trustee-elects attend at least 2 board meetings, appointed Trustees serve a three-year term, with the option to renew for a further three years. Trusteeship is an unremunerated position, though reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
