This role

Justice and Care is at an exciting moment with the imminent launch of a new ten-year strategy and we are looking to build a finance function to support this growth.

We are recruiting for an experienced Programme Finance Manager to manage and oversee the outworking of key financial processes at Justice & Care.  With a particular focus on support for our international projects funded by the US State Department and UK Government but with responsibilities also for our UK audit process and income/expenditure forecasting, this is a broad and varied role. 

This is a new role and will be line managed by the Finance Director but will work closely with in-country finance leads, programme teams, the Development team and wider global teams

• Collaborate with country finance leads and the programmes teams to develop detailed and well planned budgets for funding proposals including full cost recovery

• Monitor programme spend against budget, advising programme leads on financial and compliance decisions and producing numeric and narrative financial reporting in various formats, predominantly institutional donors such as the US State Department

• Project manage, forecast and monitor expenditure for UK programmes.

• Liaise with grants managers and project leads to ensure compliance on restricted grants.

• Lead on project management of the UK audit process.

• Delivering regular funder income and expenditure forecasting.

• Regular financial analysis as required to support strategic decision making.

• Manage and respond to finance related queries, becoming the finance point of contact for the UK team.

• Assist in the annual budget process, forging great relationships with budget holders.

About the role:

Victim Support have been successful in securing funding for the delivery of Drive. Drive is an innovative national framework that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children affected by domestic abuse by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. This involves the identification and targeting of high risk/high harm perpetrators and combines case management with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

This role is based from our Blackpool Office, delivering a service that covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and surrounding areas. You will be eligible to apply for Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) after successful completion of your probation.

The Victim Liaison Officer will act as the conduit between Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (who support high risk victims of DA) and Drive Case Managers (who support perpetrators) to ensure that risks posed to victims are assessed and information is shared in order to minimise that risk. You will be responsible for:

• Contacting victims to conduct risk assessments, safety planning and referrals to IDVA and other services as appropriate.
• Supporting clients to understand the purpose of Drive and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation.
• You will be a key member of the perpetrator panel. You will research and gather information to present the views of victims and the risks posed to them in order for risk to be managed and mitigated where possible.

You will need:

• An in depth understanding of domestic abuse, risk assessment and risk management including experience of working with victims of domestic abuse.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Empathy and a genuine desire to help and support victims of domestic abuse

ROLE OVERVIEW

With Alan and Babbette and the Indigo Trust, you will support and work with the Lead Trust Executive to manage end-to-end grant-making, research new funding streams on thematic areas of interest to the Trusts, and draft reports on wider context for new funding areas. You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, deputising for the Lead executive at grantee events and network meetings, and working with grantees to support their successes and their challenges.

With the Woodward Trust, you will be responsible for end-to-end grant-making, writing narrative text on grants awarded for Trustees meetings and annual reports, sifting and preparing grant applications for shortlisting by Trustees, and carrying out thorough due diligence on all applications. You will have day-to-day responsibility for the effective grants administration, including recording information for a robust and efficient audit trail, and preparation of grant award letters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

As someone who is passionate about social justice, you will be either an experienced Grant-maker or have experience within a professional field relevant to the focus of the trusts.

You will be equally comfortable carrying out research and building relationships with high profile individuals, as well as with grassroots groups. The role requires a breadth of analytical and administrative skills.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to organise your time across a range of grant making activities, navigating a diverse and varied workload, working for trustees with different priorities and focus areas.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Speak Out Facilitator to join our team covering Northamptonshire. This is a permanent role, working part-time (15 hours per week) reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader. 

The role will require you to support our Quality Checkers who have lived experience of a learning disability.  You will help them to feed back to the Integrated Care Board on the quality of services for people with a learning disability. The Integrated Care Board is currently exploring how this can also include autistic people. You will need to travel across Northamptonshire to various homes and residential settings and be home based for administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection are essential.  The post is a permanent contract with a starting salary between £22,500 - £29,500 per annum pro-rata. 

About you 

We’d like to hear from you if you: 

· Have experience in a role that requires outstanding communication skills to achieve excellent results – for example using different methods of communication to suit people with a learning disability.

Data and Impact Officer (Part Time, 21 hours a week)

Are you passionate about using data to tell stories of hope and recovery and ensure the delivery of excellent mental health support? 

This new role will be central to the successful monitoring and evaluation of Restore’s recovery and coaching services, enabling us to strengthen our evidence based learning and performance. 

Every year, Restore works with over 500 people across Oxfordshire, supporting them on their mental health recovery journey including helping them plan for the future.

Purpose of the role

Effective data capture, monitoring and evaluation is essential to demonstrating Restore’s impact, and identifying areas for development and improvement. We’re looking for a passionate Data and Impact Officer who can work autonomously, supporting and strengthening our information management systems and processes for data quality.

Experience

• Excellent IT Skills, including MS suite, particularly Excel
• Previous experience working with databases and data inputting
• Knowledge of importing and exporting data
• A working understanding of GDPR
• Data visualisation, analysis and reporting, including presenting data in a variety of formats
• Excellent administrative skills, particularly in organisation, planning and prioritisation
• Ability to manage a diverse workload and multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team

This is a newly created role with the purpose of maintaining a culture of compliance across the charity whilst ensuring we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Together with the Governance Manager, you will be the key point of contact for compliance, providing advice and support to the team and ensuring we have procedures and controls in place across all areas of the charity. This will include training to ensure the team is skilled and acting consistently, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of compliance and be a point of contact for all compliance and data protection queries, providing accurate advice to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain robust procedures and structures that give the charity the ability to fulfil our regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the charity is aware of, and is reacting to, any fundraising, data protection and other compliance regulation changes, by understanding wider implications.
• Work to maintain a culture of compliance across the charity through the development of training and guidelines that are easy to understand and accessible.
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that compliance procedures and policy documents are followed and fit for purpose.
• Assess data risks and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments where needed.
• Assist the Governance Manager in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports, as well as returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House, so that EHAAT meets their legal responsibilities.
• Update the charity’s data assets file.
• Review contracts and third-party agreements prior to signing to ensure they are in line with compliance regulations.
• Ensure adherence to Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice through the undertaking of fundraising  standards audits.
• Provide oversight for the timely management of leases and contracts.
• Ensure necessary insurances and contracts are in place to provide required suitable cover.
• EHAAT is a patient focused emergency medical charity. It is essential that all our staff are competent and confident in the delivery of CPR and use of an AED (defibrillator) in an emergency situation. For this reason, you will complete in house, CPR and AED awareness training annually.

Prospectus is proud to be partnering with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF), an independent grant-making foundation, that aims to maximise opportunities for individuals and communities to realise their potential and experience and enjoy a better quality of life. They are now currently looking for a Grants Assistant, to join their team on a FTC basis, for up to 6 months.

As a Grants Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Individuals team including the Head of Programme and Grants Manager. You will also play a critical role in supporting the Ideas and Pioneers Fund which re-opens in July 2024. You will be involved in project management, developing and implementing systems and processes relating to the re-opening, ongoing management and development of the Fund. Further duties will include covering the whole cycle of grant-making from application to the digital archiving of files after a grant is finished, acting as the first point of contact for the fund including handling enquiries and updating the system. 

To be considered for this role you will have experience in grant-making, including knowledge of using Grantmaking management systems (they currently use Blackbaud). You will possess strong administrative and organisational skills, as well as the ability to analyse and synthesise complex information. Experience working with a range of stakeholders, working effectively and building relationships and partnerships is desirable.

Please note, this is a part- time role, 3 days per week, based in Kings Cross. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the option to work from home (days to be discussed with client, if successful). They are looking for candidates who are available to start late July.

The Major Appeal Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of the appeal, working with colleagues across the organisation on all aspects of the planning and delivery, to ensure a strategic, joined up approach that is efficient and effective. You will play a key role in driving forward the collective momentum of the appeal.

Alongside a track record of successful campaign and/or appeal delivery, ideally in a fundraising setting, you’ll bring ambition, drive, and strong organisational skills to the role to help us be the generation to beat blood cancer.
