What you will do:

Develop and implement a legacy strategy and operational plan for long term growth.

Research and develop new legacy activities and create a marketing plan. Project manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of activities central to the legacy marketing program, including: direct mail, email marketing, digital, social media, events, and the promotion of tribute funds and free will services.

Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and communications team to develop a compelling legacy proposition and produce a suite of legacy and in memory marketing materials that can be used to engage and inspire supporters to take the next step in their legacy giving, including sharing inspiring, compelling case studies to support legacy marketing and in memory activity, including gathering stories from legacy and in memory supporters.

Work across income generation and with other departments to identify and target legacy prospects within the existing supporter base and other potential legacy audiences across all of PAPYRUS’ networks.

Identify opportunities to cross promote legacy and in memory giving to supporters as well as any activity from across the charity that could provide appropriate cultivation and stewardship opportunities for existing and prospective Legacy and In Memory supporters.

Provide teams with relevant, engaging and impactful content, messaging or resources for inclusion in cross-team supporter communications.

JOB PURPOSE
To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment. Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).
Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.
To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives. Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.
All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.
2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.
3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.
4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.
5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.
6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.
7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.
8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.
9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.
10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.
11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.
12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).
13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.
14. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

Our client is leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Their Helpline service is aimed at service users and their carers living in Birmingham and Solihull, to offer a range of interventions to support individuals who are experiencing psychological distress and/or a mental health crisis. Additionally the service has been designed and developed to help reduce the burden on statutory services including A&E departments and the police.
The role:
The Deputy Manager for the Helpline service will provide support to a team of Helpline Intervention workers and volunteers with the day to day management of the Helpline Service.
The Helpline Service is a 7 day a week service operating between the hours of 9am -11pm and requires a member of the management team present at all times. Under the direction of the service manager you will support the running of the Helpline service in line with contractual requirements, their Vision and Values, its Operating Policy and Procedures, and any relevant legal requirements.

Mental Health Homelessness Outreach Team Leader

Working base: Flexible to one of our seven Wellbeing Centres across Hertfordshire, dependent on location.
About the Service
This is a pilot service working as a multi-disciplinary team with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs. The Complex Needs Housing Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Complex Needs Housing Service are:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
- To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
- To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
- To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.
This role is key to the development and support of the team and the wider organisation.
The post holder will need to:
- Support the Services Manager with effective running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
- Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health.
- Line manage staff and where necessary volunteers.
- Lead a team of Mental Health Outreach Workers. Ensuring the team are using databases and outcome tools as required to report for the project.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive and process referrals from the local district and borough Councils for those who have presented as homeless with a mental health need, as well as other appropriate referrals pathways across Hertfordshire and make direct contact within 72 hours of referral.
- To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working.
- To manage a caseload of up to 5 clients.
- Embed a holistic, trauma informed and person-centred service
- Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- Ensure all person-centred risk assessments and support plans are completed as appropriate.
- To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, drug and alcohol services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
- To work with partners both internal and external to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated in order to promote community safety.
- Support clients to build their emotional resilience and crisis planning tools, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer-term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

Main responsibilities

The Role
The Safe Harbour Practitioner will be required to coordinate and lead on activities and groups and carry out one to one sessions for people using the service both face to face, online, and by telephone. Bank staff will cover sickness, annual leave etc with no commitment to accept shifts offered.
The Safe Harbour Pilot is a 12-month Pilot in response to the rise in need and pressures across the mental health system. By creating greater capacity across the pathway and providing an additional day time resource where, a non-clinical model is best placed to meet the holistic needs of people, and support them to avoid escalation, manage and prevent crisis, better manage their mental health, stabilise, and build resilience. The service will be staffed 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by third sector non-clinical mental health practitioners.
This is not a front-line crisis service but works with those not requiring clinical crisis intervention or hospitalisation to build resilience with a focus on preventative work.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with clients face-to-face, to support their mental health.
- Establish and maintain a strong and positive rapport with clients of the Safe Harbour.
- Develop a vibrant programme of support.
- Motivate people attending groups, and other support sessions.
- Support the manager in the day-to-day management of the service.
- Work with external agencies to develop a programme of activities.

To provide employment advice to patients accessing ELFT NHS Talking Therapies, supporting patients to gain and/or retain employment via one to one information, advice and guidance sessions. You will provide 1:1 mentoring support for children and young people aged 11-18 who are currently facing mental health problems. Our mentoring service provides 1:1 mentoring support face-to-face in the community for a period of up to 6 months, depending on the needs and goals of the young person. Our mentoring approach is centred around combining practical and emotional support to aid young people in reaching their goals associated with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Your role as a Youth Mentor will be to meet young people on a weekly basis and offer 1-1 support aligned with their needs, building a strong working relationship whereby the young person is empowered to overcome the barriers they currently face. You will also build strong working relationships with the network of people around the young person (e.g. parent/carer, school, statutory professionals) to ensure the best outcomes for the young person and that their needs are advocated for. Flexibility is central to our mentoring approach and mentoring sessions may vary in their format depending on the young person’s circumstances and goals. We give young people choice in how they are supported.
