The Head of Resource Mobilisation will be responsible for setting and driving the income generation strategy, in collaboration with the Director of Business Development, for all global initiatives, particularly the Global Start Fund, Start Ready, the Innovation initiatives and hubs. This is a role for an ambitious and bold fundraising leader who has significant experience in securing large seven and ideally eight figure grants.
A large part of this role will focus on maintaining relations with governments, private foundations, corporate partners. An exciting upcoming opportunity within this role will be securing a new eight figure business case from FCDO in 2025. Beyond this, diversifying the donor base is also critical, so experience in securing new donors from scratch, particularly trusts and foundations and corporates (at the seven-figure level) will be paramount, so bringing a creative take to this area of work will be important.

The Philanthropy Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy & Partner Engagement Department within War Child’s award-winning Fundraising team. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead (line manager) and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will manage a portfolio of major donors at 5- and 6-figure level to support a team target of c£1.4M.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:
- Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving
- Lead and be supported on building an excellent stewardship programme, supporting relationship managers across the team to deliver sector leading supporter journeys
- Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
- Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
- Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
- Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
- A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally

Kijana Kwanza UK provides support to the work in Tanzania in particular through fundraising, governance oversight, and some advisory engagement in project delivery. A new post, Director of Partnerships and Income Generation, will lead on income generation at Kijana Kwanza to increase their operating budget and reduce reliance on the founder’s personal contacts and networks who have generously supported the charity since inception.
The successful applicant will be an experienced strategic leader, with demonstrable experience of developing sound fundraising strategies across diverse sources. S/he will have a track record in securing six-figure income from philanthropic sources, including corporations and major donors. Today almost a quarter of the world’s cotton is produced under the Better Cotton Standard, and 2.2million cotton farmers have been trained in sustainable farming practices and are licensed to grow Better Cotton. I’m looking to speak to a Digital Marketing specialist, with great copywriting skills and experience running Paid Ads, including Facebook Advertising and Google Ad Grants. You will join a global children’s charity, as their new Digital Marketing Assistant, committed to ending the global education crisis and unleashing the potential of the next generation. The role is offered as 4 days a week, with flexibility to work from home 3 days, and 1 day based in their Central London office.
I’m looking to speak a creative and technical digital marketer who has experience running paid media campaigns, email campaigns, SEO set-up and tracking, CRM experience and capturing landing pages. You may have developed your experience at an agency, at a charity or an organisation who understand audience acquisition. You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and be a collaborative team-player.

Your new company
An excellent opportunity has arisen within a large, global not-for-profit organisation based in the City of London. This is a permanent role, working as a Treasury Manager for a medium-sized team. This opportunity also offers hybrid working.
Your new role
- Cash management - monitor daily cash balances and cash flow projections to support operational needs.
- Banking relationships - cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, serving as the main point of contact for treasury-related matters. Coordinate bank account opening, closing, and management.
- Cash forecasting - develop and maintain cash forecasting models to accurately predict short-term and long-term cash requirements. Analyse cash flow trends, variances and risks.
- Financial reporting - prepare regular reports on cash positions, liquidity metrics, and financial performance for senior management and external stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of cash flow statements and other treasury-related disclosures for financial reporting processes.
- Risk management - identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk and counterparty risk. Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate exposure to financial risks and safeguard the institute's assets.
What you'll need to succeed
- Professional certification such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is desirable.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is essential.
- 3+ years of experience within a treasury, cash management, or financial analysis roles is essential. Preferably within a global organisation or within the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, banking operations and cash flow management.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Experience with the financial system Workday is preferred.
