About the role
As the Head of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to meet targets, nurture relationships with donors, and engage new supporters. You will have the opportunity to cultivate, solicit, and steward your own prospect portfolio to secure funding for the charity's strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities include making recommendations to shape the strategic goals of the multi-year fundraising campaign, developing and implementing the major donor engagement strategy, and working with senior stakeholders to grow and manage your portfolio of major donor prospects. Additionally, you will be responsible for expanding the program of major donor events and engagement activities, ensuring due diligence on prospective major donors, and contributing to department-wide planning.
About you
To excel in this role, you should have a substantial track record of meeting income targets in fundraising or an equivalent results-oriented environment. You should also possess an entrepreneurial approach, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, budget management, and events management.
Success in this role will be measured through the development and implementation of the major donor engagement strategy and your level of engagement with your prospect portfolio. You will also play a key role in strengthening major donor relationships through face-to-face meetings.

The Opportunity:
This is a standalone role and is the first port of call for all HR and payroll queries at the Charity. You will be responsible for providing a robust, comprehensive and proactive HR service across the whole organisation.

• To be the Charity’s link with its outsourced payroll service and act as system administrator for HR and payroll software. Providing advice to staff on self-service use, ensuring the HR system utilisation is maximised by the Charity.
• Manage the day-to-day HR administration at all stages of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to leavers.
• Co-ordinate and manage the recruitment process – including overseeing the selection process and attending interviews as the Charity’s inclusive panel member to reduce bias and ensure equality of opportunity.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding and induction process.
• Ensure HR policies meet legal requirements.
• Oversight of attendance and leave arrangements, ensuring all absence is properly authorised and processed accurately.
• Provide advice on managing sickness absence and on family leave (maternity, paternity, etc.), as required.
• Respond to employee relations queries from individuals and managers, seeking external HR expertise.
• Deal with payroll queries and liaising with the outsourced payroll provider, providing monthly information relating to absence, leavers, starters, deductions etc.

Who are they looking for:
You will have achieved or near completion of your Level 3 CIPD or equivalent qualification and be planning to progress to Level 5.
You will have experience of:
• Working as a HR administrator and developing HR admin processes
• Working as a HR Advisor – dealing with recruitment and selection, working with HR policies and providing advice to line managers
• Ideally you will have developed and implemented new HR policies and initiatives and have experience of providing employment law advice and guidance but if not, they will help you to build your skills in these areas.
• You’ll have strong interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You’ll understand the importance of attention to detail and being able to manage sensitive and confidential information. You’ll also have a good appreciation of GDPR in relation to HR practices.

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund exists to enhance cancer services and improve lives in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. Founded in 1979, with the aim of bringing cancer services to Shropshire for the first time, our work is now focused in three key areas: cancer prevention and early diagnosis, excellent treatment delivered locally, and living well with and beyond cancer.
Two of our Fundraising Team have recently departed for exciting new projects, and we have taken this opportunity to create some different posts within the team. Our Relationship Fundraiser will work closely with colleagues across the charity to deliver excellent supporter care and stewardship, building long term relationships for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.
Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.
The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.
Key responsibilities
- Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
- Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
- Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
- Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
- Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.
The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. Main Purpose
This role is an exciting opportunity for you to play a leading role in the development and delivery of our new membership strategy. You will understand membership dynamics and ensure members experience a personalised approach that guarantees value to them.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the management team of this well-known local charity. The successful person will be working alongside our Centre and Shop Managers, and together will work as a team with responsibility for the day to day running of the Charity. Romsey Cancer Support Centre (Jane Scarth House) is a registered charity that has been providing practical support since 1995 to anyone whose life is affected by cancer. For the last 10 years we have operated as a completely independent charity.
Jane Scarth House, in the centre of Romsey, is a walk-in centre providing emotional and practical support with all services provided free of charge. Only a couple of hundred yards from Jane Scarth House is Jane’s, the charity’s shop, whose profits are used solely to help fund the services from Jane Scarth House.
The Operations Manager will lead on the development and review of policies and procedures and the implementation and use of technology/systems to enhance our effectiveness. They will also ensure our processes are compliant with regulatory/financial controls and be able to oversee facilities and infrastructure.
This part-time (0.5) role is based in Jane Scarth House with some flexibility to work from home at times.
We are looking for someone who is a great team player, a good organiser, has experience of a multi-disciplinary operational role, can work on business/financial plans, can monitor a risk register, who likes variety, who can set their own schedule (and keep to it), is prepared to research topics and take advice on best practice and who more than anything wants to be part of the next stage of our charity’s development.

About the role
Our Talk and Support Groups provide a safe space for people with epilepsy to come together and share their experiences. They meet online and in person and are open to anyone, ensuring that no one feels alone with their epilepsy.
In this role you will be working within our services department helping to coordinate, develop and engage our Talk and Support Group volunteers and deliver positive outcomes for our service users. Both our volunteers and our service users are scattered across the UK so you need to be a great communicator.
In this role, you would be working within our services department, by:
- Supporting volunteers: ensuring they are well-supported, engaged, and equipped to host effective groups support.
- Coordinating and hosting meetings: ensuing that service users can access a variety of groups, are able to have a voice and are empowered by signposting them to other services and resources.
