About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Officer to undertake operational finance activities and tasks in our small, friendly and flexible charity. The ideal candidate will perform finance tasks to support the Head of Finance through to end of year audit. You will liaise with a wide range of people by email and phone in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities of our Finance Officer will include:

• Working closely with Head of Finance to ensure receipts are recorded correctly on Sage 50 and membership accounts are validated/activated on Sage CRM as required
• Sales ledger converting sales quotes through the CRM into invoices on sage 50 and issue the invoice via email. Issue reminders for new and existing membership subscriptions, training, consultancy etc and ensure these are emailed to members
• Assisting with the credit control function, chase outstanding payments for membership renewals and new customers by phone, email
• Posting letters attached with a copy invoice to members chasing the outstanding payments – on a monthly basis
• Entering supplier invoices/expense claims, collate supporting receipts, and get appropriate authorisations for payment per policy.
• Setting up bank transfer supplier payments for dual authorisation.
• Monitoring the Finance mailbox and personal mailbox daily and action all queries, change requests in 5 days turn around.
• Monitoring and action online finance queries and redirect queries to the correct departments.

What we’re looking for in our ideal Finance Officer:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience of providing support via an online helpdesk and over the telephone.
• Knowledge and experience of working with databases and CRM systems.
• Experience in providing effective and efficient administrative support to an organisation.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills.

Education Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer to coordinate and deliver the Depaul Education programme.

Position: Education Officer - Prevention

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract: Fixed-term until 31/03/2025 (with potential for extension, pending funding)

Hours: Part time – 18.75 hours per week, working days to be agreed

About the Role

Working with the guidance and support of the National Education Programme Manager and the wider Prevention Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the Depaul Education programme in a range of settings, including schools, colleges and Pupil Referral Units across Milton Keynes. The programme aims to prevent youth homelessness by running bold and creative workshops on the subject for large groups of young people, as well as more intensive sessions with smaller groups on related issues such as healthy relationships and conflict management. It also includes training teachers and professionals working with young people on homelessness.

You will be responsible for building long-term relationships with educational institutions to support their young people. This will include selling the programme and meeting specific delivery targets. You will also play a key role in monitoring and evaluating our work to ensure it has the highest impact possible.

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively lead and coordinate the Depaul education programme in your region.
• Deliver the programme’s workshops to children and young people aged 11-18 in a variety of education and youth settings, including facilitating assemblies, classroom-based workshops and small group work, as well as delivering sessions virtually if required.
• Design and prepare engaging, innovative and high-quality resources and workshops that are integrated with the national curriculum and differentiated to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs.
• Work collaboratively with the wider national team to periodically review and update the programme content, based on feedback and in line with developments in the sector.
• Take responsibility for, with full support, building strong partnerships with educational institutions in your region, including marketing the programme, generating income and meeting identified targets.
• Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including other agencies and statutory teams) to promote the programme and develop clear referral routes for young people into other services.
• Be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all activities and keeping the database up-to-date, overseeing the monitoring and evaluation procedures in your base region.
• Keep up-to-date with current issues affecting young people in your region and ensure the programme is tailored to the specific needs and context of the area you are responsible for. This may include designing bespoke projects within the parameters of our programme and quality standards, if appropriate.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent ability to work productively with children and young people: skilled at building rapport, managing behaviour and addressing difficult topics appropriately.
• Confident to deliver engaging presentations, workshops and training to large groups of children, young people and adults, both in-person and virtually.
• Experience of designing and developing high-quality and innovative educational resources, lesson plans and workshops for children and young people in line with the national curriculum and other statutory guidance.
• Strong relationship management skills, able to build constructive partnerships with a range of professionals, influence senior figures and effectively explain the impact of our work.
• Working knowledge of target-driven environments, marketing and generating income; remaining motivated and using innovative approaches to solve problems and sell our work, ensuring we reach as many young people as possible.
• Demonstrable interest in the issues and challenges that face children and young people growing up in the UK. A knowledge of themes including homelessness, healthy relationships and risk-taking is desirable.

Summary of the role

Following the successful conclusion of the Making the Exceptional Happen campaign (which raised over £71m) attention is turning to a future campaign in support of the University’s 2030 strategy which has three core themes: sustainability (greener); improving human health and wellbeing (healthier); and creating a fair and inclusive society (fairer).

Aligned to the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), you will plan, develop and produce fundraising proposals to trusts and foundations of a consistently high quality. You will have direct responsibility for securing significant new funds to support the university’s strategic objectives. You will be expected to build personal relationships with key trust and foundation contacts (trustees/administrators) and to find ways to open doors to new trusts and foundations by exploring the networks of academics and supporters. The work will focus particularly on major proposals for grants of £100k or more.

With a significant track record of securing major gifts from Trusts and Foundations through your own endeavours and delivering against financial targets, you will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise confidentially and diplomatically both externally and internally at all levels and to a range of audiences.

Some students are more likely to face barriers that prevent them from making the most of university, particularly those from historically underserved or marginalised communities. The Student Development Team aims to dismantle barriers to involvement so all students can engage with all the university has to offer. The Senior Inclusion Coordinator will play a key role in achieving this vision for our student communities.

Marketing and Campaigns Officer

We are looking for a Marketing and Campaigns Officer to be responsible for the marketing across the charity, particularly focusing on the digital channels and campaigns.

This is an exciting role offering hybrid working and the opportunity to develop the organisations reach across the UK and beyond.

Position: Marketing and Campaigns Officer

Location: Huddersfield/hybrid (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Circa £26,000 - £29,000 per annum

Duration: Permanent

The Role

The Marketing and Campaigns Officer is responsible for developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, with responsibility for marketing across the charity. This will have a particular focus on digital channels and campaigns, providing copy and strategic direction, but also including marketing of events, products and services. You will collate, analyse and interpret campaign and marketing data to ensure KPIs are met and makes recommendations for future marketing activity. Working closely with the Brand Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to develop reach through a range of activities.

Main duties include:

• Work with the Brand Marketing & Corporate Partnerships Manager to implement the marketing strategy for the organisation.
• Create and support multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Track effectiveness of marketing campaigns, report findings to the relevant manager and use data to propose future strategies and campaigns.
• Build the digital presence, increasing traffic and user interactions.
• Research and analyse market trends and competitors.
• Provide copywriting and content management.
• Support the design and production of relevant promotional materials.
• Oversee the organisation’s attendance at events and trade shows.
• Update Content Management Systems and CRMs with relevant content, in particular, the use of Wordpress.

About You

As an experience Marketing and Campaigns Officer, you will also have experience of:

• Creating multimedia content
• Planning and developing marketing campaigns
• Copy writing and proof reading
• Managing a demand-led workload
• Working with marketing team and colleagues to achieve delivery as a team

The Role:

As a Product Lead, you will support the Product Manager in the continuous improvement and management of the portfolio, from design and development through to ongoing monitoring and review.

Main responsibilities:

*Product Development: Design, develop, and review a portfolio of schemes, ensuring they remain valid and relevant.
*Stakeholder Management: Form and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, training providers, and industry groups.
*Project Management: Ensure all product milestones and deadlines are met through proactive project management, including the recruitment and management of third-party Associates.
*System Management: Manage scheme setups and amendments within online systems, including Quartz, XAMS, and Gencarda.
*Quality Assurance: Liaise with the Quality Assurance Team on the setting up of Endorsed Training Programmes.
*Innovation: Recommend and implement innovative training delivery approaches to improve existing schemes and programmes.

Essential requirements:

*Solid experience in product management within an awarding or similar professional body.
*Experience in managing a product portfolio across its lifecycle.
*Strong relationship development skills.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Ability to write clear and concise specifications and materials.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Familiarity with computer-based learning and assessment systems.
