What the role looks like
The Financial Education Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding schools to embed our free financial education resources into primary school classrooms. You will have an excellent understanding of the challenges and pressures that exist within a primary school environment. You will be able to generate enthusiasm for financial education, as well as develop strong relationships with schools and other project collaborators. You will achieve this by proactively researching, networking, and making connections with schools in London and the Southeast region. You will speak to stakeholders, including teachers and school leadership, to promote our programme. Once they have registered, you will then train the teachers and school staff on how to incorporate our resources flexibly into their classrooms. The Financial Education Delivery Coordinator will need to work flexibly with each school to best meet their needs, according to our policies and guidelines. Reporting the progress of the various programmes is a key part of the role and the ability to collate data, identify risks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
As a part of the broader Programmes and Innovation department, this role is a creative opportunity to develop new ideas and ways of delivering financial literacy to primary schools. The evaluation team works with schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. This includes helping our partners to design high-quality research projects, delivering them, and providing systems and tools for data collection, reporting and impact benchmarking.
The Opportunity
The School Engagement Coordinator is a new role working across ImpactEd Evaluation. The role will work directly with schools to deliver national research projects, support their onboarding to our School Impact Platform, and lead communications and data collection for our partnerships. The role would be a good fit for someone with experience or interest in the school sector and research and evaluation.
Day to day your role is likely to be a mixture of:
- Supporting new schools we are working with through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring progress
- Working with school leaders and teachers to implement research in their setting - for example on projects like our Understanding Attendance research
- General support for partnership delivery and administrative tasks working with different team members
- Standardised reporting and data analysis – this will require good attention to detail and working with Excel and MS Office Suite
About You
We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others, and we are open to a range of backgrounds:
- Understanding and experience of the UK education system
- Experience of working within an administrative or customer service/partner focused role

Join our talented multi-disciplinary college team as a Learning Support Assistant in North London. Come and support our students aged 16 - 25 with learning differences, with their learning, work experience, personal growth and independence.
We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability skills. You will support our students to participate fully at the Harington Scheme’s training centres in Highgate and Hornsey or on work experience. There will also be opportunities to support with enrichment, mentoring and group activities. We promote high standards of welfare, self-care and independent living skills for the individuals we support.
About you
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and understanding to work with students to give them maximum choice and independence. You must have previous experience working with learners with learning disabilities, ideally within a classroom setting.
You should have literacy and numeracy skills with at least grade 4 in GCSE Maths & English.
You may also be a keen gardener, have experience in retail or experience of supporting people into employment.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college based in north London, working with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living. We also deliver a supported internship programme.
Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE PART-TIME FINANCE MANAGER
Purpose of Role
To provide professional advice, information and reports to Trustees and the CEO on all aspects of the Union’s financial and operational performance to enable sustainability and future growth for the organisation. As a member of the Union’s management team, the post holder will provide finance and management reports and ensure all accounting and financial controls are performed in line with good accountancy practice.
Financial Management:
· To be responsible for the management of the Union’s financial affairs ensuring internal and external statutory and
regulatory obligations are met.
· To provide information, advice and guidance to the CEO and Trustees reporting on the ongoing financial viability of the Union and its activities as and when required including the compilation and coordination of budgets and forecasts.
· To ensure appropriate cash flow and investments for the organisation at all times, advising the CEO.
· To coordinate the management of the Unions finances, overseeing the accounting for income, expenditure, and assets, making recommendations for efficiencies and savings in order to obtain value for money.
· To safeguard all the assets of the Union by ensuring that control processes are in place to accurately record asset details in line with the Union’s financial procedures.
· To lead on the budget preparation process to compile, analyse and draft the organisation’s budget each year.
· To manage and develop robust financial systems to suit the organisation’s growing and changing needs under direction of the CEO.
· To ensure that all Union staff and Officers comply with the correct financial systems, procedures and controls and ensure that all statutory requirements are in place.
· To ensure effective processes are in place for assessing and managing business risk, including financial controls and insurance cover.
· To liaise with the University Finance department to submit regular management accounts, variance reports and invoices to access grant funding.
Financial Operations:
· To prepare and produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
· To plan and manage the Union’s tax liabilities under existing legislation and reconcile payroll and VAT payments.
· Responsibility for maintaining the Union’s Bank Mandate, ensuring that it is reviewed and amended annually.
· To oversee the processing of all journals.
· To provide support for Commercial Services areas calculating and analysing the cost of sales monthly, and trend analysis as and when required.
· Prepare for annual external audit by completing year end file with all reports required.
· To develop and implement action plans from external audit.
· To oversee accruals, prepayments, stock and depreciation monthly and post journals.
· To prepare for and attend management account meetings with the CEO and the Trustee Board Finance and Audit and Risk sub-committee meetings when requested.
· To produce reports on balance sheet reviews, and twice-yearly reforecast reports.
· Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset register, and review of capital investment.
· Manage the Union’s Cash Flow and prepare Cash flow forecasts as necessary.
· Monitor Balance Sheet control accounts ensuring reconciled.
· Overseeing good standards of credit control to ensure that the organisation is distributing monthly statements and debt chasing letters and where necessary instigating legal action for the recovery of funds.
· To analyse VAT transactions and produce the VAT return quarterly
· To submit the annual report and approved accounts to the Charity Commission and other bodies as appropriate and within deadline.
· To ensure the accurate accounting and authorisation of the Clubs and Societies monies and ensure that all expenditure is spent according to Union guidelines.
Staff Management:
· To ensure the smooth running of the Finance Office by overseeing the line management of the finance team.
· To ensure that the finance team produce all data accurately, on time and in the appropriate format adhering to the strict deadlines for both internal & external set tasks.
· To promote a positive working environment and a motivated finance team.
· To provide leadership, direction and coaching for finance team and to set an example of being results focused and aiming for excellence.
· To complete Personal Development Reviews with each member of the finance team.
· To manage, develop and train the finance team in accordance with the Union HR procedures, to ensure that they are meeting or exceeding agreed targets relating to performance, quality of service and standards and taking appropriate action if these targets are not met.

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.
The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.
The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.
About You:
To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:
Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

We are recruiting a Finance and Operations Manager to lead on all aspects of financial planning, management and reporting to First Story, to support the processing of all day-to-day financial transactions, and to ensure that the finance function is carried out effectively and efficiently. The Role
As Project Lead for United Learning, you have the opportunity to make a difference on a large scale.
In this role you will have two key responsibilities – to ensure the successful delivery of our group wide stakeholder surveys (to pupils, staff and parents) and to support with organisation-wide performance management. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with teams across United Learning’s central office and with schools.
You will ensure the successful delivery of our surveys programme including working with our partner, Edurio, to manage all aspects of technical set up and supporting schools to ensure they are prepared to deliver these surveys locally. About the opportunity
Critical to our mission, we are looking to recruit a South West and South East Programme Manager to be responsible for three geographical areas and the schools within them, and to support further geographical expansion. You will oversee your region’s Action Tutoring programmes, liaising with our partner schools and developing new school partnerships, whilst supporting your team of Programme Coordinators to engage pupils and support them to build relationships and retain a strong pool of volunteer tutors.
As a Programme Manager, you will line manage Programme Coordinators to ensure they effectively manage their caseload of schools, whilst driving the quality of programmes and ensuring that the delivery of programmes meets organisational KPIs. This role will take a lead on new school recruitment, regularly pitching to Senior Leaders within schools and managing school partnerships within your region to ensure Action Tutoring’s growth targets are met. Additionally, you will contribute to the wider leadership of the Action Tutoring programme team, lead on programme-specific projects to support the programme department's priorities and will be expected to support the wider learning and development needs of the Programme Coordinator team.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working with people who have a frontline role, gets energy from pitching to schools and wants to increase their management experience in an exciting and rapidly developing charity. Duties and responsibilities

· Lead on reviewing and improving programme delivery in the South West and South East through regular visits to schools and programmes. Using data to reliably assess programme performance and engaging with quality assurance processes to drive impact.
· Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in Action Tutoring’s partner schools in the South West and South East, including members of the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring strong retention of school partnerships each academic year.
· Take a lead, with support from others in Action Tutoring, on networking in the South West and South East. This could include connecting and attending events with other charities, universities and other organisations to build Action Tutoring’s presence locally.
· Work closely with the Marketing, Communication and Engagement teams to establish and maintain volunteer recruitment opportunities and channels in the South West and South East.

Strategic Development
- Identify, propose and lead strategic development opportunities for the organisation. Conduct sector research to ensure that the Foundation’s strategy is data and environment-informed. Project Management and Reporting
- Have oversight of and manage the methodology, quality assurance and compliance of major organisational projects, ensuring that these projects are well-planned and well-executed, with appropriate approval, resourcing and evaluation. Growth Projects
- Conduct growth research with a focus on the current educational and political climate, looking to the Department of Education and West Midlands Regional Directorate for changes and updates to relevant policy. In the event of an academy conversion, transfer, or merger, the postholder would also undertake the following duties: Convene and manage a project group comprised of representatives from the school, the Academy Trust and Birmingham City Council if appropriate. Manage all project documentation (including a comprehensive and regularly updated project plan, a register of risks and issues, an action tracker, project meeting notes, and reports to Trustees). Lead a thorough due diligence process. Support the incoming school to run a consultation process. Liaise with the Academy Trust’s legal advisers, Birmingham City Council, the DfE and other parties to bring about the completion of necessary land transfers, funding agreements, commercial transfer agreements and any required supplementary agreements.
