This is a UK-based, remote working opportunity with 1 day per week in London. This role is 4 days (28 hours) per week, with flexibility.
The Philanthropy Specialist plays a major role in meeting the organisation's fundraising goals. Responsible for major giving and grants portfolios, the Philanthropy Specialist identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards financial support from generous individuals and granting bodies.
With a proven track record, the successful candidate will network with key stakeholders, present compelling communications and generate significant funds. In turn, these funds will enable Animal Equality to carry out its crucial campaigns to meaningfully transform and save the lives of farmed animals.

We are looking for someone to join our Public Fundraising Team as a Senior Challenge & Public Events Officer, to independently manage and have overall responsibility for leading on the planning and delivery of a pilot bespoke running event happening in May 2025.
The ideal candidate will have experience of project managing large-scale events with exceptional organisational skills; developing multi-channel marketing plans; developing and delivering complex stewardship journeys, and have strong relationship management skills.
Please note that this is an 8-month opportunity, of 21 hours per week. Due to the time-sensitive nature of planning this event, we are looking to have someone in post by mid-October. Please take this into consideration when submitting your application.

The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust was established in 1982 to support UK registered animal welfare charities involved with the rescue, rehabilitation, release and rehoming of domestic and wild animals; the conservation of wildlife and its habitat and the promotion of the understanding of animals and their welfare. By giving to smaller organisations, relatively modest grants can have a significant impact on animals and those who care for them.
As Administrative Assistant you will work alongside the Administrator to ensure this impact is sustained by monitoring and evaluating applications from submission through to awarding and beyond. You will liaise with applicants, guiding them through the process, while also keeping in contact with our Board of Trustees. Meetings are held six times a year to agree awards and you will produce reports and summaries to aid Trustee’s decisions.

You will be actively involved in the day to day running of a small office with financial and premises management being core tasks. As you grow into the role there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and learn about charity administration.

- Setting up and maintaining accurate records via databases, spreadsheets and electronic filing systems

- Financial tasks (payments, invoice tracking, monitoring expenditure and income)
- Organising meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and taking minutes
- Creating and maintaining social media accounts for a small organisation
Essential skills are:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Accurate numeracy
- IT skills including - Microsoft Word and Excel, emails, Teams, Microsoft Sharepoint
- Time management and prioritisation of a varied workload

Position: Wildlife Fundraiser - Watford

Salary: £24,890.00 - £26,720.00 per annum

The Role
Each day you will travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members.
Don't worry if you're not a wildlife expert yet – you will be provided with comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Plus, you'll enjoy the added perk of a company van, with fuel and parking costs paid for.
What's even better? You'll have the flexibility to choose a contract between 3 to 5 days per week, and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission. With 34 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) and opportunities for sabbaticals, we value your work-life balance and well-being.

About You
What we need from you:
· A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required);
· Ability to work to targets;
· A driver's licence valid for use in the UK;
· Happy to work 3 out of 4 weekends;
· Happy to travel (on average) an hour away from home each day;
· Willingness to work outdoors and independently;
· Fundraising/Sales and Customer Service experience (desirable).
Whether you're from a hospitality, customer service, sales, or volunteering background, we're more interested in your negotiating/storytelling skills and enthusiasm than your previous experience.
