This is an exciting time for us and a rare opportunity to join a “new” charity that has the profile, assets, and mission of an established one. This is a chance to implement new ways of working and support an ambitious organisation to grow and progress, working with a new board, a newly embedded senior leadership team and, crucially, lots of new ideas.

• Be committed to the good stewardship of our financial resources and take responsibility for the financial health of the Charity. Working with the Director of Operations & Resources, you will champion the responsible use of our financial and non-financial resources to deliver the biggest impact we can have for our beneficiaries.
• Act as company secretary, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including from the Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC, and other relevant bodies.

Location: Home-based, with occasional travel to Football Foundation offices and other sites
We’re the Football Foundation – the Premier League, The FA and Government's charity that helps communities improve their local football facilities through football grants. To help us with this important mission, we’re looking for a Community Engagement Lead to join the team and play a key role in ensuring we achieve our objectives of engaging with and increasing physical activity levels amongst the four key priority groups facing the greatest inequalities: low socio-economic groups, women and girls, disabled people and people with long term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities.
This is an exciting time to be joining the Football Foundation and this is a great opportunity to use your knowledge and experience of place-based working and community engagement to make a real difference through community sports.
The role
A hugely exciting opportunity has become available to join the Football Foundation as our Community Engagement Lead. What are we looking for?

A crucial part of this will be your knowledge of the workings of Local Authorities and the role they play within community development.
You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of building and managing multiple stakeholder relationships, as well as experience of managing, leading and developing small teams.

About Us

In partnership with 150 primary schools, we support families across the UK to enjoy learning together at home. Families are motivated to sustain and enjoy frequent and positive interactions together.

It replaces traditional Maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.

About The Young Foundation
The Young Foundation is a national charity with a long history of innovating to create social change. We are a ‘think and do’ tank, working with people and communities to shape a fairer future, together.
The UK’s public services are in acute crisis. Political trust is on the floor. The struggles people and communities face are many, and are deeply knitted together. Consequently, our mental health is often poor, and our resilience is weakened. We must be prepared to unravel and reweave for the common good.
That requires working together in new ways, empowering radical acts of co-creation across communities, sectors and boundaries. For The Young Foundation, this is a moment to embody the spirit of our founder, Michael Young. To embrace collective effort and work collaboratively to show that, with the Power of Participation, we can redesign the social contract between people, communities, state and business to shape a fairer, greener future.
About the role
