About the role:
This newly created role will be responsible for resourcing external talent across all areas, partnering with managers from scoping the resource to the successful candidate joining the team.
The role is pivotal to the design and implementation of the HR Operating Model and the successful candidate will be responsible for management of the in-house recruitment function. You will ensure a first-class direct recruitment service to stakeholders, at the same time providing an excellent candidate experience to anyone who applies for a role.

Job Title: Member and Supporter Experience Coordinator
Team: Member and Supporter Experience
Location: Hybrid (split between home-working and London), 1 day minimum a week in office in London Bridge.
This role is open to both full-time applicants and part-time applicants, happy to do a job-share.
*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £26,887 to £42,371. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £34,629 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. Context and purpose of role
At the heart of the Ramblers lies our community of over 100,000 members and supporters, enabling us to fulfil our charitable mission across the length and breadth of Great Britain.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of excellent supporter service, coaching and empowering the Member and Supporter Experience Officers to meet the needs of our supporters. You will play a key role in fostering a positive experience for supporters, managing relationships with third-party suppliers, and driving continuous improvements across processes and systems. As a key point of contact for internal teams, you will traffic-control workloads, ensure smooth project delivery, and act as a champion for supporters across the organisation.
We are looking for someone with experience in working in high in-bound volume (calls/emails) supporter or customer service environments. The candidate must have experience in handling multiple enquiries across different channels and ideally in coaching, mentoring or supervising others.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Coaching
- Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision for Member and Supporter Experience Officers, ensuring workloads are evenly distributed, priorities are clear, and deadlines are met.
- Lead regular check-ins and team huddles to review progress, share updates, and address any challenges or blockers, in consultation with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience.
- Coach and support Member and Supporter Experience Officers, providing the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent supporter service through tailored training and coaching
- Support the monitoring of quality and productivity using satisfaction ratings, and performance measures. Take remedying actions, such as further training or support, in consultation with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience.
- Co-ordinate key business project delivery within Supporter Care, liaising with other teams, coaching the team, and supporting delivery.
Supplier and Project Management
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, including our payment processor, and fulfilment centre. Be responsible for briefing them on new projects and setting up procedures.
- Monitor supplier SLAs and performance measures, ensuring consistently high standards. Manage projects with third-party suppliers to time and budget.
- Proactively identify new solutions or efficiencies to improve working practices.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the scheduling and management of team rotas, ensuring adequate coverage for incoming enquiries, including peak periods and project delivery deadlines.
- Support the induction and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel in their roles.
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming requests from other teams and campaign briefings, managing the team’s workload and rota.
- Provide KPIs on request from the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. Deliver KPI, SLA and insight reporting that drives better decision-making.
High standard supporter care
- Support the team daily in answering incoming enquiries as part of the role.
- Develop and maintain a framework for monitoring the quality of supporter interactions across all touch points and teams through call monitoring, complaints and compliments reporting, surveys, mystery shopping, satisfaction feedback and other performance measures. Where needed, work with relevant managers in other teams to develop solutions.
- Regularly review the quality of interactions handled by team members (e.g., through spot-checking emails, calls, and case resolutions), offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Cross-Team Collaboration and Advocacy
- Work closely with teams across the organisation to build and maintain knowledge bases that can be used by all teams to respond to queries and concerns, and to support teams in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as an ambassador for members and supporters across the organisation, sharing insights with colleagues.
- Maintain strong relationships across the Ramblers, including Ramblers Cymru and Scotland, ensuring the team delivers a high standard of service aligned with organisational priorities.
- Attend project planning meetings to ensure high-quality supporter care and brief the Supporter Care Team on new projects.
Continuous Improvement
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to improving processes, reducing response times and enhancing supporter satisfaction.
- Proactively identify training needs for team members based on performance trends, and coordinate tailored training sessions to address gaps.
Volunteer and Digital Engagement
- Manage office volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported to carry out their tasks effectively.
- Input into the development of new digital products (e.g., website and mobile) to enhance membership value and support volunteer-led recruitment and retention efforts.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis. You will be recruiting a team of Contactless Fundraising Volunteers to support the Regions with their Contactless Giving targets.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the East & West Midlands region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
As a remote worker you will be assigned one of our main hub spaces as as your formal base
Relevant hubs include: Birmingham, Hatton & Ellesmere Port.
Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday with occasional weekend & bank holiday working.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to devise robust strategies to achieve weekly & monthly volume and quality based fundraising targets, particular focus on Contactless Giving within the regions, Museums and attractions and our F2F Fundraising teams.
- Develop contactless fundraising techniques with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager that improve income generation for the Trust.
- Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business casing of future fundraising opportunities for the face to face & regional fundraising programme.
- Ensure management of key contactless giving channels including devices, signage, branded clothing and collateral all contain contactless donation touchpoints across the network.
- Recruit and manage a team of Contactless Giving Volunteers
- Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
- Handle all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Ensure regular Compliance checks and training sessions are delivered to the F2F team and Regional colleagues, particularly around Contactless Giving.
- Clear, regular and timely communication with the Team and all members of the senior management team.
- Nurture and maintain positive relationships with regional colleagues to support delivery of F2F fundraising priorities, engagement and training; particularly contactless giving programme.

The Events team sits within the Insight and Strategic Development team whose purpose is to maximise Alzheimer’s Research UK’s income by driving collaborative, efficient and sustainable ways of working. This team of experts works alongside the whole organisation and is fundamental to the delivery of our ambition.
The Events Officer will work closely with the Events Manager in the development and delivery of a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK, ensuring a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience. This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the fundraising directorate on their events scoping, planning and delivery.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required
· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.
· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.
· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner
· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post

The School of Philosophy and Economic Science is recruiting for a full-time Management Accountant to work within our lively and vibrant educational charity, providing Practical Philosophy and Economics courses to adults, based in Central London.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will manage a wide range of the organisation's financial matters and deputise for the Head of Finance, with particular attention given to the upcoming project to replace our CRM/accounting system. A key responsibility of this role is overseeing the year-end process and external audit. This includes working closely with our national branch volunteers to draft consolidated financial statements for the group. You would also support the Head of Finance throughout the annual budgeting process, including collation and preparation of budgets, and attend the budget presentations to the Trustees. The Management Accountant is also responsible for regularly producing the Management Accounts of the charity, comparing actual financial performance to the budget and prior year and explaining variances.
The Person
- Energetic and problem-solving.
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, ICAS, ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum of two years’ accountancy experience.
- Experience in preparing full set of consolidated financial statements in medium-sized organisations (Turnover £1m+) with national branches and subsidiaries, ideally for a charity.
- Strong Excel skills. Proven experience in handling a large amount of data in spreadsheets.

The P2P Lead will manage the end-to-end P2P process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance with policies and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role will provide training and hands on support to colleagues across the organisation (from onboarding a supplier all the way through to a goods receipt on the purchase order and payment of supplier invoice) and lead on the resolution of escalated queries.
The ideal candidate will have managed a transactional team and have significant demonstrable experience of the whole Purchase to Pay cycle. The Research Officer will work on TASO’s Research and Evaluation programme to develop a better understanding of what works to support widening participation and student success. Under the guidance of a Research Manager, the Research Officer will be involved in a wide range of research and evaluation activities.
One key focus will be to work with the Research Manager to deliver impact evaluation projects with project partners (namely higher education providers). These typically involve randomised controlled trials (RCTs) or quasi experimental designed (QEDs), but also include theories of change and qualitative research methods.
The Officer may also help commission new projects designed to develop evaluation guidance for practitioners, evaluators and researchers from multiple institutions. They will work across these projects to manage and monitor progress, collate findings, analyse data and help steer the overall programme of work. They may also undertake internal research projects themselves, including synthesis of secondary research; conducting qualitative, quantitative and/or survey research.
The role will involve substantial stakeholder management, liaison with various interested parties outside TASO, convening of stakeholder groups and supporting training sessions. The Research Officer will have strong communication skills and be able to convey their findings, including complex quantitative information and advanced evaluation methods (particularly causal impact evaluation methods), clearly and will support TASO to influence broader policy discussion. They will work both independently and—on more complex tasks—under supervision.
