Key responsibilities of the role:

- Lead, support and direct a team of nurses whilst promoting a stimulating and caring environment for all residents.
- Provide a high standard of professional practice and encourage the introduction and implementation of new ideas, current trends and methods of nursing using evidence-based practice.
- To compile and manage duty rotas to ensure safe levels of care.
- Communicate and engage with residents and their families, as well as healthcare professionals to ensure the best care outcomes.

You will have experience of leading a team within a care home or similar health or social care environment, relevant and demonstrable clinical experience, an awareness of CQC Regulations and other relevant legislation and experience of working with Quality Assurance systems and clinical audit. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

The Role

This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Collaborating closely with the Director of Fundraising & International Partnerships, you will build strong relationships with existing funders in the UK and source and build relationships with new donors. You will play an active role in the fundraising team & across the organisation contributing to an exceptional working environment.

The Key Responsibilities

• Help meet RT and LYN fundraising targets, by:

1. Securing income streams from new UK donors, including through Grants & Trust income and individuals, through researching, approaching, and applying, and
2. Developing strong working relationships with existing UK donors, seeking opportunities for deeper partnerships and securing on-going giving where possible.

• Carry out insightful and informative research on new UK opportunities, and create impactful engagement strategies for potential new donors,

• Produce high quality, professionally written proposals, and application forms, which ensure the highest possibility of securing new funds.

• Produce timely, insightful, and impactful monitoring reports in accordance with donor requirements.

• Identify engagement opportunities to keep UK donors updated and informed on our work, including full or partial responsibility for our three key events each year: Experience Revitalise, Celebrate Revitalise, and Introduce Revitalise.
• Manage a small team in delivering the above.

The Right Candidate

• Significant fundraising experience, or a similar environment in raising funds to support an initiative, bringing in c. £2-3m in funds a year, including new funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, able to write excellent briefs and build highly effective relationships internally and externally with donors.
• Proactive, organised and solution focussed with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Experience of successfully leading a team and delivering a strategy.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal and wider team targets.
• Confident with MS Office and CRM Databases.

The organisation is an independent funder and our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments, therefore we do not fund raise, the organisation has distributed over £298 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year. The charity gives grants to benefit children and young up to the age of 25 (or up to 30 for younger people with special educational needs and/or disabilities) who live within nine Boroughs in West, Central and North London.

We are delighted to be working with the charity to recruit a permanent Financial Controller to join its established team based in conveniently located offices in Central London. 

The role:

Reporting directly to the COO, the Financial Controller will ensure the provision of consistent, robust financial advice to the charity as a whole.  This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and financial operations, ensuring these are compliant with statutory requirements and appropriate and effective financial controls are in place. They will also maintain a financial planning framework that will facilitate the delivery of the charity's financial strategy. This will involve managing one direct report, overseeing all financial reporting and tax compliance, preparing the charity’s management accounts and the end of year accounts for approval and sign off by the Trustees. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing an annual financial audit process preparing the annual budgets in advance for SLT sign off and providing sound financial advice across all of these areas.

This person will also manage all external relationships with banks, financial institutions, property Investors and auditors wherever Finance is the main issue being dealt with. This person will also oversee all Grants related financial transactions in close collaboration with the Grants department.

The person:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and will be able to provide excellent financial management and reporting for the Charity. They will be confident working with different internal stakeholders and external professional advisors and will be capable of considering their different requirements and priorities in a knowledgeable way. This person will have excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised and a strong communicator across a wide range of audiences. Educated to Degree level or the equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), this person will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication and will be up to date on all MS Office packages and financial software including SAGE being essential.

Candidates with prior experience of working with endowed Trusts, Foundations or Charities or who have worked in Charities that have income derived from a permanent endowment (either partially or totally), will be of particular interest, so please draw attention to this when applying.

This person will have demonstrated substantial financial management experience at a senior level in the Charity or Not-for-Profit sectors, with extensive knowledge of UK Charity Accounting Standards (SORP, Charity Commission compliance and VAT). Also experienced in strategic financial planning, preparing complex financial statements, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, and have good knowledge of financial planning in a Funder or Grant-Maker setting. As our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments a substantial experience of managing income and cashflow from property and investments is essential.

Westway Trust is seeking a qualified accountant to join as our Head of Finance who will lead on all aspects of the finance function to achieve the Trusts goals.  You will also manage a small team and will offer strategic finance support across the range of activities undertaken by the organisation.

You will have significant experience operating at a senior level within a complex organisation and registered charity, and will possess the right blend and balance of strategic, communication, innovation and people skills.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Lead, manage and improve the Trust’s finance function and provide accurate, timely and relevant financial reports as required by the CEO, Executive Team and the Trust Board.
• Be the Executive Lead of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee, ensuring timely papers to the CEO and to the Committee and Board as required and liaising with the Head of Governance and HR as required.
• Ensure the provision and reporting of financial accounts, forecasting and large-scale project/programme budgets, estate development plans, and the associated reporting.
• Oversight of the legal and financial statutory processes in line with the Charity Commission and Companies House requirements, including the Annual Audit. Allocating tasks for timely responses and keeping all colleagues abreast of progress.
• Monitor, cash flow, reserves, analysis of performance against the organisation’s annual business plan and dashboard as it relates to the finance function.
• Contribute to the overall leadership of the Trust and to the Trust’s future strategic and operational planning. Support Executive Team colleagues as required on the delivery of cross-team initiatives.
• Line management of the Senior Finance Manager, the Debt Recovery Consultant and the Development Partnerships Lead.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• Significant and successful experience of operating as a Head of Finance, ideally in a charity setting.
• A track record of working collaboratively with a team to develop successful internal partnerships and achieve joint success against shared objectives.
• Experience of the finance function and all the associated processes, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience of implementing enhanced reporting tools within financial software, including the ability to coach others.
• Practical knowledge of VAT, including accounting of partial exemption relevant to charities.
• Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
• Strong interpersonal skills for both workplace and external representation contexts, operating with enthusiasm, flexibility, energy and commitment and demonstrating credibility and gravitas.

Desirable Experience, Skills and Attributes:

• A good understanding of the local area.
• Experience of change management.
• Competency in use of Access Dimensions, Focal Point and other MS Office software packages.

Qualification:

• Must hold a formally recognised professional accounting qualification.

The Head of Philanthropy will lead the philanthropy team to maximise philanthropic support for the charity with a focus on research, education and innovation and driving long-term growth from key income streams. You will develop the charity's overarching major gifts and legacy strategies, setting annual budgets and programmes of activity. You will contribute fully as a senior member of the charity's fundraising team, leading and motivating the philanthropy team of 11.  You will also contribute fully as a member of the charity's management group.

The selected candidate will have proven successful major gifts fundraising with a track record in initiating new relationships, securing gifts at the six and seven figure level. You will have experience working in organisations with multiple stakeholders and will have demonstrable experience of preparing and managing annual plans, budgets, and targets. About the Role

We are looking for passionate and qualified A level tutors to deliver high quality group tuition to our cohort of almost 1,000 students. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced tutors with a love of learning to help bright students overcome barriers to academic achievement. Tutorials are delivered online to groups of up to 4 students via our bespoke online learning platform.

Tutorials generally take place between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on weekday evenings, with flexibility around the schedules of our tutors and students.
