Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Westminster Theological Centre (WTC) as Finance Director (FD). WTC is at an exciting phase of its development as a fast-growing, innovative college. We are looking for a visionary, solution focused FD to work with the other members of the Senior Exec Team (SET) to build on current achievements, and help the college take full advantage of the current and future opportunities.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the FD will oversee all finance functions of the college and the associated consulting entity. The role will include being a member of the SET, contributing to the strategic management and governance of WTC within the overall framework of the Strategic Plan and in line with WTC’s core vision, mission and values. WTC launched a for-profit consulting entity in 2020, and the FD will also be a member of the Management Team of WTC Consulting Ltd (WTCC). The role holder will provide strategic financial advice to the WTC Board of Trustees and the WTCC Board of Directors.
The FD role includes the preparation and submission of Group Accounts, engagement with stakeholders and students, and oversight of the financial aspects of events and projects as detailed in the attached job description. The FD will also manage the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of all financial aspects of college and consultancy activities.
WTC is a pioneering theological college with a vision to integrate the best of scholarship with the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit to transform, heal, and release God’s people into His purposes for them. We deliver transformational theological education within prophetic, worshipping and learning communities throughout the UK, in partnership with local churches. The successful candidate will have professional accountancy qualifications, commercial and/or professional experience, be strategic and solution oriented, and have strong management, team player and communication skills. Commitment and Pay scale
This is a 4-5 day/week, permanent position (37.5 hours/week FTE) on completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months. The position attracts a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 FTE per year, depending on experience and qualifications, as well as access to a pension scheme. Annual holiday allowance is 25 days per calendar (FTE) year plus bank holidays.

Job Purpose
This is a senior management position, working closely with the joint CEOs and the Board to ensure Graeae prospers artistically and financially.
The Finance Director will be responsible for implementing Graeae’s vision as laid out in the company’s business plan and to achieve artistic excellence, effective development of the company and financial stability. The Finance Director has overall responsibility for the financial management of the company, in liaison with the CEO, and the development and maintenance of financial controls, systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial management

The Rigby Foundation is the charity of the Rigby Family and their wholly owned family business, the Rigby Group PLC. In 2023, the Trustees appointed an Executive Director, the Foundation’s first member of staff, to support them in setting their future strategy.
The Foundation is now a place-based funder, with donations focussed on the West Midlands. Support is prioritised for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged between eleven years and twenty-five years, and on evidence-based charity programs that enable young people to succeed in education and have the best chance of securing meaningful employment. The Executive Director is in the process of establishing the Foundation’s ‘Inspiring Futures’ program, that will include 9 secondary schools and one FE college in Birmingham and 11 specially selected charity partners.

The Head of Finance is a pivotal role for the Trust, providing leadership in financial management and planning. You do not need to have managed CRM teams before or be a CRM expert - our key priority is finding someone with the management skills to lead CRM specialists.
Some understanding of Salesforce (e.g., Sales Cloud and Service Cloud).
Previously managed and transformed the development and operation of enterprise-grade platforms.

Hackney has a longstanding reputation of being open and welcoming to migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum - both as a Council and a community. Currently 800 people are seeking asylum in Hackney, and Welcome Hackney provides access to timely and effective support while they await the outcome of their claim. Hackney has also welcomed over 400 Ukrainians since 2022, as well as a number of Afghan families through the UK’s resettlement schemes.
This role sits within the Welcome Hackney (Refugee, Migrant and Asylum Seeker) Service. The postholder will manage three support workers who provide direct support to refugees, migrants, and people seeking asylum in Hackney. The purpose of the role will be to ensure that migrants in Hackney have access to timely and effective support, to coordinate workload allocation across the three support workers, and ensure that we are providing a service that is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and aligns with anti-racist practice. The postholder will also lead on the delivery of our Welcome Hub, a weekly drop in open to all migrants in the borough, including coordinating support provision, overseeing logistics of hub operations, and involving internal and external stakeholders.

The Director of Professional Services is responsible for our professional affairs activities, overseeing the creation, maintenance and application of relevant standards through our professional affairs committee, and certification and accreditation schemes. They are also responsible for member recruitment and management, ensuring we continue to attract new RSS members and partners, and that their needs are met. They also oversee a range of activities that engage RSS members (including groups that bring members together on a topic or geographical basis, RSS honours and awards, and our volunteering opportunities), securing both our impact on society and member retention.
