Job description

“I’m still not sure what the future holds, but the main thing is I can see one now.”

An average day:

  • Meet with staff and volunteers to plan the day and prepare the site

  • Lead a group in horticultural activities and meet people 121 for assessments or regular reviews
  • Join the group of staff, volunteers and people accessing the service to stop for lunch
  • Lead a group in horticultural activities and wrap up the day
  • Debrief with staff and volunteers, write up notes and if needed contact referrers or other agencies before closing up the site.

About You

You’ll understand the community Bridewell supports, demonstrate empathy and knowledge of the challenges faced by people affected by serious mental health conditions.

You’ll have experience of working in a mental health setting and be open to new learning

You will have professional training and experience in occupational therapy, mental health, or social and therapeutic horticulture

Reflective practice and working collaboratively in a small team are second-nature to you, you accept everyone as they are and focus on strengths and solutions to make progress
