About the Role
As Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.
Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
· Ensure client safety, wellbeing, and adherence to safeguarding and emergency procedures.
· Deliver high-quality risk assessments, support plans, and one-to-one/group support to build client resilience.
· Foster partnerships with local agencies to support clients while following data protection protocols.
· Engage flexibly and creatively with clients, encouraging their involvement in decisions and participation in activities.
· Support clients in accessing education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities.
· Maintain health and safety standards, prepare accommodations for new clients, and oversee accurate financial records.
· Collaborate with team members, volunteers, and attend training and meetings as required, ensuring contract compliance.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· Experience working with young people or those affected by homelessness.
· Understanding of the needs of individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or the care system.
· Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.
· Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills, and commitment to diversity, equality, and professional integrity.
· Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively, and reflect on practices for continuous development.

About the role
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, with particular focus on Brent borough, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Leaving Care team within Brent Borough Council and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties Responsibilities
- To hit the ground running to effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and milestones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.
- To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining the database.
- To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
- To work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
- To maintain accurate administration, for all aspects of the project.
- To maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure database.
- To manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.
- To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessment management processes.
- To prepare regular reports for both internal and stakeholder purposes.
- To develop relevant information to promote and raise the profile of Volunteering Matters locally.

About the Role
To work as part of a team that delivers an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Our work is underpinned by the Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.
Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for managing the building to ensure that the accommodation provided to the clients is safe and secure through the provision of overnight concierge service, security and door control. This includes controlling access to buildings, being the first point of contact for all emergencies and carrying out Health and Safety checks and cleaning.
Key responsibilities include:
· You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
· You will provide a basic first contact advice response and security service at night to clients living in the property and/or in dispersed accommodation linked to the service
· You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors or services visiting the building at night
· You will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards on the premises and a point of information for clients regarding Health and Safety at night
· You will actively ensure the security of the building through regular checks, and monitoring.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or care leavers.
· Experience in managing the overnight safety of vulnerable clients preferably in supported housing.
· Good written and spoken communication skills to ensure the accurate handover of information both verbally and in writing between shifts.
· Experience in undertaking basic maintenance and/or delivering cleaning services.

About the role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the team, working 20 hours per week. The requirements are that the agreed working pattern must include working on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Our work is rewarding but also complex and demanding; you will need to be resourceful and resilient. You will work closely with our supportive Young Lives vs Cancer team, an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and with services in the community.
Young lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. We currently use a hybrid working model. This role falls under the hybrid - variable category. This role is part home, part site based (your contractual base will be both Home and Nottingham City Hospital). You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at the interview stage.
The office-based working will be at Nottingham City Hospital, to provide support to children and young people (0-24 years, with a focus on those aged 16-24) diagnosed with cancer and leukaemia, and their families.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application a basic / standard / enhanced criminal record check will be completed. This role is also subject to a Social Worker Registration.

Over 100,000 visitors come to the Cathedral each year and our Cathedral ‘community’ comprises thousands who feel close to the Cathedral because of historical connection, the purchase of a brick in the 1950s, their membership of the worshipping congregations or staff and volunteers.
The core task of Guildford Cathedral is worship. Daily and Sunday choral services are the backbone of our work. The Cathedral is led by the Dean with the Cathedral Chapter which is akin to a Board of Directors and charity trustees.
The Role
The Shop Assistant will support the Shop Manager by opening the Shop on one day per week and other days by mutual agreement. The post holder works enthusiastically as part of the Cathedral’s team of staff and volunteers to help deliver our vision. Lone working is sometimes required but another Staff member (Virger) will always be on site and contactable.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager in daily operations.
- Supervise and support volunteers.
- Process sales, including cash and card payments.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, tidiness, and stock presentation.
- Assist customers and handle inquiries.
- Manage stock, orders, and accounts with the Shop Manager.
- Ensure effective administration of sales and inventory.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management and volunteers.

Main duties and responsibilities
Maintaining and developing partnerships
- To work alongside the CEO to seek out and develop new partnerships with commercial and non-commercial partners including charitable grant giving organisations/funders.
- To play an active role in researching and developing applications to charitable grant giving organisations and other potential partner organisations.
- To reach out to the wider community, enhancing the reputation of UoGSU and strengthening key relationships.

About the role
Music Services is the delivery arm of Nordoff & Robbins and encompasses the provision of music therapy and related activities including education, training and research.
The Music Services Administrator will be based on-site at our Newcastle centre 4 days per week and will work closely with the North East and Yorkshire and East Midlands Regional Managers as well as alongside other Music Services Administrators to ensure that the admin function is well run, organised, efficient and effective, and that clients, visitors and callers have a positive experience when they spend time with us. Many of our clients lead challenging lives and include vulnerable children and adults.
