We're looking for a creative Visitor Experience and Engagement Officer who can connect people with nature. Working at Minsmere, you'll provide fascinating visitor experiences, drawing people in through new, quality events.
Minsmere is the RSPB’s flagship reserve on the Suffolk coast, giving visitors incredible wildlife spectacles.
You will develop our visitor offer, ensuring high quality experiences. You will be a good communicator, experienced at delivering events and engaging with new audiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Introduce new visitors to the RSPB by working with the Visitor Experience Manager to create a range of new and exciting events. These new events will sit alongside our current programme of events and will enhance our visitor offer and drive footfall.
- Ensure relevant data is captured for all events to enable reporting and evaluation.
- Engage and communicate with diverse audiences, face to face, digitally and via social media.
- Ensure the reserve delivers events to the highest standards resulting in a high-quality visitor experience.
- Support the continued development of a team of volunteers to assist with event delivery.
- Ensure the reserve delivers a high quality, on brand visitor experience.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Computer Literate to include professional use of social media adhering to brand.
- Sound understanding of systems and procedures relevant to a commercial visitor operation.
- Working knowledge of visitor engagement techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- A team player who can motivate and inspire people.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback.
- Ability to maximise opportunities for visitor engagement and income generation.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience of delivering a high-quality visitor offer.
- Experience of managing and delivering against targets and KPI’s.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Contribution to a successful visitor project or visitor attraction.
- Tourism/leisure related qualification, ideally at HND level or equivalent.

Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time role for 37.5 hours per week.
- This role will require regular weekend and bank holiday working.

Your role
We are looking for an E-Commerce Coordinator to help maximise our income from online retail sales. You will liaise with our Retail Team to identify and merchandise items for online sale across multiple platforms, ensuring that products are dispatched and any customer related queries are answered in a timely manner.
You will also assist with regular sales reporting and KPI targets. You will be computer literate with good Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Office procedures and resources are IT based and at commercial standards. You will be articulate, with excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
This is an office-based role, though occasional travel to our shops may be required to get high value donated stock to sell through our online selling platforms.

Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. Project Assistant
Leicester Cathedral is looking to appoint a Project Assistant, as part of the Leicester Cathedral Revealed (LCR) project.
Following the ‘soft launch’ of the Cathedral in November 2023, we are working towards the full re-opening – including the new Heritage & Learning Centre – and a new inspiring phase of activity to include a full and stimulating programme of events for all audiences, whilst maintaining the Cathedral’s core purpose of worship, welcome, and witness.

About The Role
Speech and Language UK is recruiting Independent Visitors to provide essential support and guidance to our residential special school in all areas the national minimum standards.
Key Responsibilities:
To fulfil the requirements of Standard 3 of the national minimum standards for residential special schools, which includes:
- Conduct six unannounced visits to ensure the highest standards of care, aligned with national regulations.
- Write and submit reports on the conduct of the school with any recommendations within two weeks of the visit.
- Collaborate with staff members, and other key stakeholders to monitor compliance and safeguard the welfare of residents.
- Meet with children, parents, other stakeholders, senior management and other staff in the school
- Check school records, including, but not restricted to, attendance, restraint, risk assessment and care plans
- Evaluate the quality of the provision and effectiveness of the care provided to children and whether they are safeguarded
- Assess the suitability of the physical condition of the residential provision and its external environment
What We Are Looking For:
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulated services and their inspection frameworks
- Experience of working within an educational setting, social or health care organisation, safeguarding, residential care, youth work, or related fields
- Knowledge of current care legislation and statutory guidance relating to children and young people
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
