About the role:
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub. You will be home-based with frequent travel across the London Boroughs and the South East of England, but initially predominantly working in and around Greater London.  Note - some work outside this area may be required.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers.

You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a person located in or close to Greater London, and willing to travel across the South East of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Establish new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Maintain current Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the national Hub
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products

In the role of Senior Peer Support Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop a healthy group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

You will be an inspirational and energetic team leader with experience in providing day-to-day line management and operational support for a small team.

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater London and willing to work initially across the London Boroughs and into the South East of England. This role may involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated Development staff.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events
• Work creatively to set up and develop new sustainable in peer support groups, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency.  Existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support will need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreements across the team, in addition to the development of new groups
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups
• Deliver training to support group leaders (group roles and responsibilities, safeguarding, setting up, running, and promoting a group)
• Develop strong boundaries and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment, and community
• Support established groups in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community
• Help develop and deliver a service blueprint for sustainable peer support groups, thinking strategically about how to develop groups
• You'll collaborate closely with the ‘Hub’ team to provide a joined-up and positive user experience for kinship carers. This collaborative approach is key to our success and ensures that kinship carers receive the best possible support
• Manage special interest groups and regional online groups as required, transitioning to ‘Hub’ team for sustainability and work with partners

Service quality, development and data management:

• Accurately record all recruitment, contact information and volunteer case management in Salesforce in line with service framework and data protection requirements
• Ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce to support service performance, evaluation and learning
• Provide regular reports to ensure targets and SLA are met for the service.
• Support continuous development and improvement of the service (new systems and processes) as required

Management and supervision: 

• Inspire, motivate and be responsible for day-to-day line management and supervising up to 4 staff members
• Oversee tactical development of new sustainable groups in your area and your team
• Help set clear objectives to achieve targets and outcomes
• Actively encourage personal development and learning

This role is a full-time role, but we are open to part-time applicants happy to do a job-share. 

Context and purpose of role 

At the heart of the Ramblers lies our community of over 100,000 members and supporters, enabling us to fulfil our charitable mission across the length and breadth of Great Britain.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of excellent supporter service, coaching and empowering the Member and Supporter Experience Officers to meet the needs of our supporters. You will play a key role in fostering a positive experience for supporters, managing relationships with third-party suppliers, and driving continuous improvements across processes and systems. As a key point of contact for internal teams, you will traffic-control workloads, ensure smooth project delivery, and act as a champion for supporters across the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Leadership and Coaching 

• Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision for Member and Supporter Experience Officers, ensuring workloads are evenly distributed, priorities are clear, and deadlines are met. 

• Lead regular check-ins and team huddles to review progress, share updates, and address any challenges or blockers, in consultation with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. 

• Coach and support Member and Supporter Experience Officers, providing the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent supporter service through tailored training and coaching 

• Support the monitoring of quality and productivity using satisfaction ratings, and performance measures. Take remedying actions, such as further training or support, in consultation with the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. 

• Co-ordinate key business project delivery within Supporter Care, liaising with other teams, coaching the team, and supporting delivery. 

Supplier and Project Management 

• Manage relationships with key suppliers, including Elovate, our payment processor, and fulfilment centre. Be responsible for briefing them on new projects and setting up procedures. 

• Monitor supplier SLAs and performance measures, ensuring consistently high standards. Manage projects with third-party suppliers to time and budget. 

• Proactively identify new solutions or efficiencies to improve working practices. 

Operational Oversight 

• Oversee the scheduling and management of team rotas, ensuring adequate coverage for incoming enquiries, including peak periods and project delivery deadlines. 

• Support the induction and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel in their roles. 

• Act as the first point of contact for incoming requests from other teams and campaign briefings, managing the team’s workload and rota. 

• Provide KPIs on request from the Head of Member and Supporter Experience. Deliver KPI, SLA and insight reporting that drives better decision-making. 

High standard supporter care 

• Support the team daily in answering incoming enquiries as part of the role. 

• Develop and maintain a framework for monitoring the quality of supporter interactions across all touch points and teams through call monitoring, complaints and compliments reporting, surveys, mystery shopping, satisfaction feedback and other performance measures. Where needed, work with relevant managers in other teams to develop solutions.  

• Regularly review the quality of interactions handled by team members (e.g., through spot-checking emails, calls, and case resolutions), offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement. 

Cross-Team Collaboration and Advocacy 

• Work closely with teams across the organisation to build and maintain knowledge bases that can be used by all teams to respond to queries and concerns, and to support teams in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Act as an ambassador for members and supporters across the organisation, sharing insights with colleagues. 

• Maintain strong relationships across the Ramblers, including Ramblers Cymru and Scotland, ensuring the team delivers a high standard of service aligned with organisational priorities. 

• Attend project planning meetings to ensure high-quality supporter care and brief the Supporter Care Team on new projects. 

Continuous Improvement 

• Monitor performance and implement actions to drive continuous improvement. 

• Recommend process improvements for key systems, such as the inbound enquiry system and CRM, in consultation with stakeholders. 

• Proactively identify training needs for team members based on performance trends, and coordinate tailored training sessions to address gaps. 

Volunteer and Digital Engagement 

• Manage office volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported to carry out their tasks effectively. 

• Input into the development of new digital products (e.g., website and mobile) to enhance membership value and support volunteer-led recruitment and retention efforts. 

Other 

• Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post.

Essential:

We have a new full-time vacancy for an Officer to join the Prospect Development team (the team currently consists of one Manager, one Officer and one Executive). In this role you will work most closely with our Philanthropy and Partnerships team but will have the opportunity to work with other teams across the charity.

In the role you will provide excellent research on high-value prospects which will assist stakeholder teams in building and maintaining high-value relationships and facilitating high-value giving. You will support on building and maintaining a pipeline of high-value individuals, charitable trusts and foundations, and companies interested in supporting the work of ARUK. In addition, you will support the Prospect Development Manager in carrying out due diligence on individuals and organisations when required.

This role sits within the wider Insight and Strategic Development function, the aim of which is to maximise ARUK’s fundraised income by driving collaborative, efficient and sustainable fundraising whilst putting supporters at the heart of everything we do.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Prospect Development

· Use a proactive and creative approach to identify new prospects from ARUK’s fundraising CRM, networks and other sources. 

· Support the Prospect Development manager in preparing for, and the tracking and management of prospects for ARUK’s new high-value campaign.

· Undertake detailed research into potential prospects in order to establish philanthropic capacity.

· Write high quality research profiles on prospects and donors to brief fundraisers, senior leadership, senior volunteers and other key stakeholders

· Create detailed and thorough due diligence profiles to flag risks associated with potential funders

· Undertake data mining activity and prospect verification work. 

· Respond promptly and efficiently to ad-hoc requests from fundraising teams, ensuring we are equipped to act on new fundraising opportunities.

· Support fundraising colleagues to manage their portfolios and prioritise prospects.

· Assist with training other teams in basic research, prospect management, database use and understanding of due diligence policies. 

Partnership working

· Proactively build partnerships across the Fundraising Department and with other teams.

· Identify and communicate opportunities for cross team working to maximise income. 

Information Management

· Ensure useful, accurate and clear record keeping of prospects on the fundraising CRM to allow us to identify connections and build our networks. 

· Be mindful of data protection law and confidentiality and keep abreast of changes. 

· Store information appropriately, with sources and in a clear and retrievable format.

· Collaborate with the Data Services team to make improvements to data management and processes. 

What we are looking for:

· Experience of conducting prospect research and/or due diligence research (candidates with other fundraising or non-scientific research experience may be considered).

Meningitis Research Foundation is an international health charity headquartered in the UK, driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis; we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Currently, our student team supports hundreds of students per year to take part in some incredible fundraising challenges. This includes national and international treks and marathons, such as climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking across the Morocco High Atlas Mountains, or running 26.2 miles through Budapest.

Working as one of our Student Fundraising Executives you will be joining our Events and Community Fundraising team and be involved in organising, recruiting, and resourcing students from across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

You will learn to build relationships with university partners and be involved in supporting the students who sign up to become fundraisers for our charity.

This is a hugely rewarding role, with a lot of variety. Full training for the position will be provided and you will join an incredibly supportive, successful, and passionate fundraising team.

Key tasks and fundraising activities.

• Attending meetings and presenting to student groups across the UK.
• Promoting Meningitis Research Foundation.
• Speaking about our student programme to universities across the UK developing and building relationships.

• Produce progress reports to the team.
• Identify and implement ways of solving problems and optimising new opportunities.

Skills and experience required.

• Genuine interest in working within the charity sector.
• Effective communication skills, both face to face and over the phone.
• Good organisational skills and ability to use initiative and work with autonomy.
• Experience working within a RAG society of within the charity sector desirable but non-essential.
• Ability to work anti-social hours (evening and weekends) during our student sign up season (Sept-Nov). All travel and accommodation paid for.

Role and Key Responsibilities 

At CPI, we believe that our people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Finance and Operations team who will play an important role in supporting our Finance function across our regions. Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Assist Finance Manager with processing accounts receivable (AR): record entries, supervise authorization process in accordance with internal procedures, monitor AR ageing reports, process and pay vendors.

• Process credit card (Airwallex) expenses, ensuring items are correctly coded and authorized.

• Process staff expenses, ensuring items are correctly coded and authorized.

• Assist Finance Manager with processing sales invoices for customers. Record expenses from coaches/partners, ensure accurate authorization and process payments.

• During the month end process, assist the Finance Manager to ensure that all balance sheet items are reconciled and suspense/clearance accounts are cleared.

• Assist with preparing monthly management reports and reviewing performance against budgets.

• Work with our regional teams to agree supplier contracts and set up suppliers in our financial systems; ensure our internal financial policies & procedures are followed, including performing supplier verifications.

• Assist Finance Manager with annual audit preparation.

• Communicate with Finance and Non-Finance colleagues to obtain all information required by Finance and to explain our accounting processes

• Act as backup for Finance teams in other regions to support workstreams and provide assistance during busy periods.

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Philanthropy Manager with demonstrated experience, preferably within the charity sector or comparable commercial environment. The role will involve primarily working from home and must be situated in or near London to attend regular in person meetings with key staff.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a portfolio of 50 – 70 major donors and prospects by creating and implementing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to make 5 and low 6-figure annual gifts (bigger gifts would fall to the Vice President, International Development and UK Fundraising Director)
Conduct 75 to 100 meetings with donors and prospects annually through one-on-one meetings, site visits, and other types of meaningful contact.
Provide recommendations and assist in executing effective strategies to practice moves management and increase fundraising results.
Write and create customised proposals and presentations for major donors.
In coordination with the UK Fundraising Director, assist with developing projects that will enhance the major giving operations of the Development Department and support them by developing strategy briefs and leading preparation meetings.
Help produce cultivation and stewardship programs for prospects and major donors.
Organise at least two major donor events each year.
Organising research on major donors as well as conducting supplemental research.
Ensure all key administrative tasks for the philanthropy programme are taken care of.
Other duties as are appropriate for this role.

Travel

There is limited but regular travel into London for regular team meetings as well as travel as needed around the UK for meetings with major donors.

Required Education and Experience

5+ years of relevant experience with exposure to major gift donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship processes preferred.
A proven history of generating income in the £100,000’s and securing gifts of £25,000 or more.
Demonstrated success in developing substantive donor relationships and in supporting senior management, program staff, to execute donor and engagement strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both management and donors.
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Able to make sound decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.
Able to function both independently and as part of a global team.
Familiar with the MS Office and donor management systems. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

• Experience of contributing to the delivery of impactful campaigns including understanding of change theory, power analysis, critical paths and audience insight
• Experience of managing a digital supporter base and developing online supporter journeys
• Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms (social media, email marketing, online petitions etc) with a focus on driving engagement and supporter acquisition
• Experience in tracking, analysing and reporting on campaign metrics, translating data into actionable insights to optimise campaign performance
