Role Overview:

The Fundraising Lead will play a pivotal role in driving Be Free Campaign’s community and partnership-focused fundraising initiatives. This role is centred on building relationships with individual donors, community supporters, and strategic partners to ensure sustainable growth and broaden Be Free Campaign’s impact on young people’s mental health. The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement, partnership development, and securing individual donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement and Individual Giving:

• Build and nurture relationships with individual donors, maintaining regular communication and creating impactful engagement opportunities.

• Launch targeted campaigns aimed at attracting and retaining individual supporters.

• Partnership Development:

• Identify and secure partnerships with local businesses, community organisations, and other stakeholders to support Be Free Campaign’s mission.

• Manage and grow these partnerships, ensuring mutual benefits and sustained collaboration.

• Work closely with the communications team to raise awareness and visibility through joint initiatives with partners.

• Donor Stewardship and Communications:

• Create and manage a donor stewardship programme to ensure ongoing engagement and retention of donors.

• Develop donor communications, including impact reports, newsletters, and personalised outreach, to highlight Be Free Campaign’s work and inspire continued support.

• Plan and oversee small community events to engage local supporters and celebrate achievements.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a fundraising role within a charity or community-focused organisation, ideally with a focus on individual giving and partnership building.

• Relationship Building: Proven experience in cultivating relationships with individual donors and community partners.

• Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to create compelling narratives that inspire and retain supporters.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop innovative approaches to engage donors and community partners.

• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across teams and engage volunteers in fundraising initiatives.

Desirable:

• Experience working with mental health or youth-focused charities.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed, preventative, and early intervention mental health practices.

Fundraising and Community Engagement Officer x 2 to cover Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon (1 x Welsh Essential)

Role Overview:

This role will deliver a range of fundraising activities, creating a great supporter experience for our participants ensuring our supporters are at the heart of everything we do.

You will project manage fundraising activity and volunteer journeys from beginning to end, delivering them on time and in line with annual plans and budget. You will analyse and produce evaluation reports reporting against budget, interpreting these results to inform the future planning of fundraising activities.

You will possess strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with our supporters across a range of channels including mail, e-mail, telephone, face-to-face, and online.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fundraising plan in accordance with the Fundraising strategy.
• Expand our team of volunteers and establish Local Fundraising Groups to raise funds in their community.
• Maintain a robust monitoring and recording system to capture achievements and activities, identifying trends for future planning.
• Hold regular meetings with volunteer groups to reward and thank them, deliver any training and promote a team ethos.
• Support current supporters to continue with their fundraising for us, attending their events.

Trust House provides free confidential support to anyone affected by rape or sexual abuse living in the Thames Valley area. Our confidential helpline service is available to victims/survivors of rape and sexual abuse of any gender aged 18 or above whether their experience is recent or in the past. Our helpline is also open to family, friends and supporters of survivors looking for emotional support, information and advice.

We are looking for someone to coordinate the effective delivery of our helpline service and to ensure that our helpline volunteers provide consistent support and an effective service on the helpline.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To manage and ensure the provision of an effective, efficient and professional helpline for service users;
• To manage the helpline team, including providing ongoing support, regular supervision and reflective practice;
• To ensure quality assurance for the data entry and case recording of helpline calls on the Lamplight database;
• To track and monitor service metrics to identify areas for improvement.

The role is 14 hours per week which can be worked flexibly.

AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE POST

To manage the day-to-day administrative responsibilities and smooth running of the office including dealing with confidential and financial records.

MAIN DUTIES

• General office duties including, but not limited to, checking and responding to emails to the office email account, handling telephone enquiries and managing correspondence to the office.

• Providing office cover and being present in the office on Mondays to Thursdays. Must be competent and confident in the opening up and locking up of the building.

• Collating data on the client database as required for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

• Oversight of office inventory, including ensuring an adequate supply of stationery, printer ink, tea, coffee, refreshments etc.

• Responsible for the operation and basic troubleshooting of office equipment like printers and computers.

• Ordering supplies and resources for our play therapy service.

• Arranging staff meetings and taking minutes, when required.

• Looking after the maintenance and running of the office including health and safety requirements (such as regular PAT testing, fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing etc).

• Maintenance and organisation of records and documents on our shared drive.

• Assisting with the recruitment, induction and training of staff and volunteers.

• Researching and sourcing information.

• Support with event organisation and fundraising activities when required.

• Support Trust House staff with particular projects when needed including providing cover 

Key skills and experience required:

• Experience of working in an administrative role. (Essential)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Crisis Outreach Workers to support Mind in Enfield and Barnet's Family Hubs Service.This role is to support individuals during the perinatal period (expecting and up to 2 years after birth)  presenting at the Family Hubs experiencing mental health crisis and problems gain immediate support

The purpose of the Outreach Worker is to work with adults during the perinatal period (pre birth up to 2 years after birth), including both parents and carers. You will work as part of MiEB perinatal family hub team to identify those at risk of crisis and ensure referral pathways are in place to facilitate rapid engagement

The successful candidates should have a minimum 2 years experience of working with people with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. Experience of utilising de-escalation techniques, and supporting clients presenting in emotional distress

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance’s (MMHA) Everyone’s Business campaign calls for all women throughout the UK who experience a perinatal mental health problem to receive the care and support they and their families need, wherever and whenever they need it. This role will play a key part in supporting MMHA’s successful campaign and helping drive change for women, babies and families affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and after birth.

Job purpose

• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the MMHA campaigns.
• Contribute to researching and producing campaign materials.
• Maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders to support campaign objectives, including MMHA members, MPs, academics and lived experience champions.
• Support MMHA projects, contributing to the delivery of the MMHA’s strategy.

Hillside Clubhouse operates an established Employment Advice (EA) service integrated into NHS Talking Therapies.  The programme aims to support Islington residents who are assessed within Talking Therapies and who require employment advice.

The EAs in Talking Therapies initiative was designed as an integrated employment and mental health service to improve both mental health and employment outcomes. EAs are part of the Talking Therapies team and work alongside therapists to provide employment support to assist clients remain in work, return to work, or find employment.  This takes the form of personalised support for the client backed up by an action plan detailing the client’s employment goals and the actions that the client, the therapist, and the EA agree to take to meet these goals.  

Overall aim 

Talking Therapies is an NHS Programme that provides evidence based psychological therapies to treat people with mild to moderate and moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders.  

The new Employment Advisor (EA) will work within the Islington NHS Talking Therapies provision. They will work one-to-one with a caseload of between 25-35 clients referred by NHS Talking Therapies therapists to find employment, remain in existing work if they are struggling, improve their working environment, return to work following sickness or positively leave or retire from work. 

You will primarily fulfil these duties by providing information, advice and guidance to clients who choose to receive employment support. The support aims to empower clients to make better decisions about their working lives, as well as communicate better with colleagues and managers in existing roles. You will also signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate. 

This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.  

Method of working 

EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

1. Engage a mixed caseload of clients at any given time serving 100-125 per year, with common mental health problems, to establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them to find new employment or support them in, or to leave, existing employment. Support will be provided face-to-face in Talking Therapies settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone. 

2. Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients’ support needs with a view to creating, implementing, and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients’ mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career. 

4. Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans, and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances). 

5. Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary. 

6. Work directly with partners like Jobcentre Plus, other employment providers, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to support clients to stay in employment and secure employment opportunities. 

7. Build a constant flow of referrals from the clinical team to ensure a dynamic and mixed caseload.

8. Meet referral and performance targets in line with the specific KPI / SLA requirements of the service. 

9. Regularly attend team and other meetings as reasonably expected. 

10. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring both the NHS and Hillside Clubhouse databases are kept up to date and paperwork compliant.

11. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organisation’s needs. 

12. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

13. Comply with and actively promote all Hillside policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection. 

14. Perform other tasks as required by your manager.

Mind in Haringey are seeking a Community Care Coordinator for some of our most vulnerable users.
