With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.

The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! Please do not feel like you need to be a seasoned surfer for this role - the majority of the non delivery team are also not surfers!

The Community Engagement Project Assistant role will include delivering classes, hosting events and working with clients in their homes, in our day centre, and in community settings such as libraries, job centres, sheltered accommodation and other voluntary sector organisation hubs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, his family and two religious communities. It is the centre of his ministry, worship and hospitality.

The staff members at Lambeth Palace work as a small and close-knit team and support each other during busy periods with flexibility and good humour. You will be responsible for supporting the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury at an Executive Assistant level. This post gives an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, busy office, in unusual and pleasant surroundings.

The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. The Chaplain carries responsibility for pastoral and liturgical dimensions of the Archbishop's ministry in the Church of England, his speaking, publishing and award-giving commitments while leading on the Archbishop's first priority of the renewal of prayer and religious life.

He/she is also responsible for the pastoral care of those who work and/or live at Lambeth Palace - the 'community of communities' and the regular pattern of worship in its two chapels, in liaison with Chemin Neuf. He/she is also responsible on behalf of the Archbishop for liaison with the recently-founded Community of St Anselm.

Core Responsibilities

• Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
• Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
• Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
• Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
• Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
• Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Key Requirements

• The role is primarily office based, however, there is some flexibility to all to allow for a degree of home working, specifically when there are no internal or external face-to-face meetings. This can be discussed once you have been appointed to the post.
• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.

This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.

Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.

It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.

The Role:  

• Developing products and processes to meet income delivery and tree planting targets 
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop models to aid decision making within the Products and Donations area, including forecasting of tree sales. 
• Work with suppliers whilst ensuring alignment with organisational and sustainability values 
• Manage relationships with the Trust’s creative and media agencies, and with teams across the organisation 
• Oversee the development and management of tree products including the online shop 
• Whilst the focus is on trees, there will be scope to work across multiple product areas during this fixed term contract, helping to improve reporting and drive decision making based on data and insight.? 
• This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once per month. There may also be a requirement for additional supplier visits with some overnight stays.
• This is a 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) working 30 hours per week 

The Candidate: 

• You are an experienced manager with specific skills in product development  
• You have a strong background in working with colleagues to build robust models to understand product profitability and stock forecasting 
• You have excellent analytical skills and be proficient in Excel and other forecast modelling tools 
• You have strong budgeting and stock management skills 
• You may have experience of forecasting within the retail sector 
• This will be a varied role, so you possess strong leadership, marketing, communication and project management skills, and the ability to problem solve  
• You will have line management or supervisory experience

Shop and Museum Curatorial Assistant

Dorchester, Dorset

£31,610 (pro rata) per annum rising incrementally to £32,850 (pro rata) per annum

21 hours per week, 3 days per week, inclusive of weekends and bank holidays, and is subject to rota requirements.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution towards the visitors’ experiences at the museum and shop, and will also promote the Museum, its events and merchandise online. 

The varied duties include: handling sales transactions in store and online; stock management; securing the premises; covering holiday periods (including bank holidays); assisting with the upkeep of the shop, museum, facilities and cottages, as well as supporting the run and organisation of key events such as the festival.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate that they are able to:

• Work well with customers, visitors and residents
• Administer stock, sales records and online transactions
• Work flexibly and provide general assistance when needed
• Carry out manual handling tasks safely and assist with the physical aspects of a festival set up
• Support in the curation and development of the Museum and its history
• Work additional hours to cover busy periods.

As with all similar jobs with our client, security clearance checks (DBS) will form part of the appointment process.
