.About the role – what you will be doing Develop and maintain a thorough ‘local knowledge’ across London boroughs and their services and youth sector, particularly in respect of young people experiencing crime. Design, deliver and evaluate workshops to trusted adults, including parents, teachers, caregivers, community/religious leaders, community members and youth professionals, with a focus on building their knowledge and skills in providing tools to refer young people who are experiencing being victim of crime to anonymous support services. Design workshop content and materials that are informative, interactive, and engaging, incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches to recover from the trauma of witnessing or being a victim of crime Provide practical strategies and tools that trusted adults can apply in their interactions with children and young people to promote their emotional well-being. Develop and delivery training that raises the standards of work with young people for youth workers across our membership. 

Research and recruit cohorts of trusted adults across London to attend training Reflect our inclusive culture in your day-to-day work and support a positive health & safety and safeguarding culture in your interactions with colleagues. About you – what you bring to the role Demonstrate excellent skills and knowledge in facilitation; proven experience in designing and delivering high quality training Ability to design and deliver workshops adapting to a variety of audiences Experience of working in community youth work settings and/or therapeutic spaces with young people. We are seeking up to three new Assistant Properties Workers to help us develop warm, sustainable homes alongside volunteers and tenants. It’s a very special, specific role at Canopy… part eco-builder, part teacher, part support worker, so full on-the-job training is provided for all successful applicants.

You’ll work with a range of people from different backgrounds, supporting them and training them in construction skills. You’ll be using innovative construction methods and materials to help tackle climate change. You’ll also get to work with and train homeless people as they help renovate their future homes.

About the role

The Senior Volunteer officer will work to involve the local community in enhancing and taking care of the park and will support all areas of the Trust’s work, including visitor experience, gardening and supporting the delivery of the Trust’s growing public programme of seasonal, community-focused activities and events. You will work as part of the project team that includes a new Senior Community Engagement Officer. The postholder will also create opportunities for paid sandwich placements, internships and work placements.

This is an exciting role to support Peak District Mosaic in delivering their new project, Championing National Parks for Everyone, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

Contract length: 20-month fixed term (until August 2026).

Location: Hybrid. Two days a week working from home, with one day per week in a shared office space in Bakewell. Occasional travel to the Peak District National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park, and North York Moors National Park will be required.

Job purpose

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a series of events to support the project’s network of Community Champions. This group will receive training from the National Parks so that they have the skills and knowledge to run safe and enjoyable activities within the National Park for friends, family, and community members. The Project Coordinator will organise a series of training, networking, and celebration events to further upskill this group and to bring them together to celebrate their successes and share best practices.

The Project Coordinator will also provide administrative support for the project as a whole, working closely with other project staff to maintain effective records of activities and finances, and supporting the Development Manager to submit grant reports and payment requests to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Key responsibilities

Deliver Peak District Mosaic’s support to Community Champions

• Set up a series of training opportunities for Community Champions to help develop their skills further, for instance, setting up Outdoor First Aid training with a training provider or supporting Community Champions to access Hill Skills or Mountain Leader training.
• Organise a series of networking events and a residential to bring the Community Champion network together, celebrate successes, provide peer support, and share best practices.
• Work with the Development Manager and the Community Champion network to develop ongoing support for Community Champions across the three National Parks, including developing our website to provide information and new opportunities.
• Develop content for our website and social media, including working with Community Champions who will be trained to create their own videos on how to visit the National Parks.
• Attend Community Champion training days in the National Parks occasionally to strengthen relationships between Community Champions and Peak District Mosaic.

Support project management of Championing National Parks for Everyone

• Support the Development Manager in organising project steering group and project delivery meetings, including arranging venues, sending agendas, and circulating minutes and actions.
• Monitor the project’s outputs, outcomes, and expenditure, liaising with other project staff at the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and Peak District National Parks to ensure up-to-date information about activities, outputs, and outcomes is collected.
• Assist the Development Manager in reporting project finances, outputs, and outcomes to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, submitting quarterly reports, and meeting with NLHF as per their guidance.
• Support project communications by updating the Peak District Mosaic website, creating social media posts, and writing press releases.
• Update appropriate documentation, such as project plans and risk registers, as required.

Hours / work pattern: 5 days / 35hrs per week preferred, but 4 days / 28hrs considered

Learn English at Home (LEAH) is looking for a motivated, dynamic, and flexible individual with experience in the community, voluntary, or education sectors to join their team. You should have a background of working with people from diverse communities who have limited English.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing learners for ESOL, coordinating and supervising volunteers, and organising workshops and classes. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, as well as the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities. IT literacy and the ability to monitor outcomes using databases are crucial. 

You should be adept at working independently both face to face across our boroughs and online. While also being a team player who can help the team meet its targets.  An ESOL qualification or relevant equivalent would be desirable, along with knowledge of local services and demographics.

About Welcome Friends 

Welcome Friends helps to alleviate loneliness and isolation in the over 50’s in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf by recruiting and training volunteers who are subsequently matched to beneficiaries who will visit them every week. Volunteers are encouraged, where it is feasible, to accompany or encourage the older person to interact more with their community, through attending local groups/community events.

Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. THE ROLE

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 13 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the London. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.

Mentoring programme

• Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
• Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
• Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
• Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
• Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
• Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
• Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
• Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network. process in line with our child protection policy.
• Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships

Partnerships

• Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
• Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.
• Be an active presence in the community, attending events and networks to encourage local women to mentor on our programme.

The Girls’ Network reputation and network

• Advocate The Girls’ Network at every opportunity, through local media, PR activities and social media.
• Identify opportunities to build the reputation of The Girls’ Network in the North and through events and networking.
• Report significant successes and achievements to relevant staff members

Ongoing success of The Girls’ Network

• Work with the Programme Team to identify key areas for programme development.
• Opportunities to get involved in programme and wider organisational projects.
• Understand the development of school initiatives nationally and in your region, and understand their impact and implications for The Girls’ Network programmes.
• Attend programme and whole team meetings and team days.
• Maintain and champion a girls-centred way of working.

About the role

As Operations Administrator, you will work as part of the Operations Team to ensure the smooth running of the ‘behind the scenes’ work of the organisation, to support the Operations Manager in processing the monthly impact measurement data and to provide operational administrative and IT support for the organisation’s outreach teams and the general work of the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Reporting – collating and analysing information to showcase the performance and impact of the organisation’s work to all identified stakeholders
• Working alongside our teams to gather all required information for impact management according to required deadlines
• Produce impact reports for grant funders and internal/external stakeholders
• Use performance data to produce evaluative reports and metrics for analysis
