Purpose of job

The purpose of the role is to assist MCFT to achieve its mission to proactively help our community thrive by supporting inclusive access to opportunities, facilities and services which enhance:community leadership and cohesion, health and wellbeing, aspiration and opportunity, independence and inclusion, skills and employability.

The role will include work with residents to identify their priorities and needs and help them to design solutions to meet these, bringing proposals forward to MCFT Manager and Trustees for consideration and funding.  The postholder will also work with a range of stakeholder partners to facilitate and deliver agreed initiatives and services that improve the lives of local residents. 

The role requires the postholder to deliver existing and new projects as allocated, ensuring all projects:

• have adequate risk assessments completed,

• are regularly reviewed,

• that targets and outcomes are met and

• that information is gathered to evaluate projects and contribute to impact reporting.

About The Hygiene Bank

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean.  It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing-up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.

Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. Earlier this year, The Hygiene Bank published a research report into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2m adults in the UK are affected by hygiene poverty, that is an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty since 2022 - the equivalent of the population of Birmingham. 

With hygiene poverty on the rise, it is also undermining the nation’s health: 50% of those affected by hygiene poverty say that it is causing them anxiety or depression. 92% of people affected report that it limits their social interactions with friends and family. 54% of those affected have not gone to the dentist in the last 12 months. But most importantly, it’s putting people in impossible situations. A staggering 69% of adults experiencing hygiene poverty are having to make the difficult decision between paying for essential needs like food and bills or purchasing basic toiletries. 65% of parents affected by hygiene poverty have had to choose between buying hygiene products for themselves or their children.

About the role

This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary Communications Team working together to raise awareness of the work of The Hygiene Bank. The successful candidate will develop and deliver effective marketing and communications content, with a special focus on digital channels, to promote The Hygiene Bank’s work, partnerships, and year-round fundraising activity – including National Hygiene Week and brand collaborations – and demonstrate the positive impact donations have had on communities across the UK. The postholder will work together with the Senior Volunteer Experience, Communications and Fundraising Manager and the Head of Fundraising, Communications and External Engagement to implement the Communications Strategy using a range of marketing and communications activities to actively engage a variety of audiences to raise awareness of hygiene poverty in the UK.

Responsibilities include: creating content for social media, our monthly newsletter and our website; creating engaging and compelling promotional materials; using high-quality storytelling to produce blogs, liaising with our volunteers to identify good stories and producing case studies and news articles for the website and supporting the wider team as required.

· Create compelling and engaging content for The Hygiene Bank’s social media channels, website and newsletters for our different audiences.

· Coordinate and monitor The Hygiene Bank’s social media presence ensuring the different audiences are informed and engaged.

· Develop creative concepts to engage and activate our ambassadors and influencers in support of the organisation.

· Develop and implement email marketing campaigns and manage the reporting, suggesting improvements and identifying growth opportunities.

Experience

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the following:

· Either Marketing or Communications .

Key Details

This role is to deliver a co designed menu of support, in collaboration with The National Autistic Society, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust, and Barnardo’s. The practitioner will provide impactful, school-based support to parents and carers of children and young people, and offer consultancy, professional training and advice to school staff, school-based needs teams and system wide partners. The Role

As a Practice Consultant, you will proactively support your Head and line manager, demonstrating leadership and a strong, supportive role in your team’s contribution to delivering the provision of high-quality support in strategic and operational environments. You will be skilled and confident about building high-trust relationships, contributing to securing a strong network across the UK and quality within our accreditation services.

You will take responsibility for motivating yourself and will build a wide skill set both personally and within the team, sharing expertise and encouraging everyone to work at their best together. Practice Consultants act as a critical friend to local areas and services, supporting, advising and guiding them through a combination of free and paid-for expert support. You will build relationships with national partners and local areas to develop coordinated, dynamic responses to domestic abuse and related safeguarding issues, seeing the whole picture for each family member to keep people safe sooner.

In order to complement our existing expertise in the Practice team, we would be particularly interested to hear from applicants with backgrounds in domestic abuse, criminal justice, health and social work.

This is a fixed-term role until June 2025 with the possibility of extension, and we will consider full-time and part-time hours.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Insight Executive with data experience to join the Strategic Insight team.

As the Insight Executive, you will be providing quality data to teams across the organisation for marketing and supporting purposes. You will be working with our software to extract data, build communication journeys, and run data processes. This role is key to the organisation, and in ensuring we are raising funds to support children and young people with cancer.

This role is an opportunity to work across a range of data led projects and challenges. Our team is continually adapting and improving; we are looking for a candidate who can shape this role over time, and who we can support to grow in this role.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the Job Description.

• To select and extract data from the database and fully clean the resulting data before sending on to be used for campaigns and other areas of work
• To maximise the benefits of our database by working with team colleagues to deliver data selections, data reports, and data exploration
• Be responsible for incoming data administrative requests and run regular administrative tasks to keep data clean and up to date on the CARE CRM system (our supporter database)
• Be proactive in learning to use new software – we use FastStats, and are currently bringing in PeopleStage, a product to manage supporter data, and the Insight Executive will be regularly using this software .
• On an ongoing basis, to identify areas for improvement including data quality, and increasing internal and external stakeholder satisfaction
• Participate in projects or lead discrete project work and support other areas within the directorate as and when require

WHAT DO I NEED?

• Experience working with data, and relational databases (examples being a Customer Relationship Management database/FastStats/PeopleStage)
• Extracting complex information from a database
• Experience using Microsoft packages, primarily Excel
• Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks, and their own time
• Team player who can easily work as part of a cross functional team to deliver shared goals .

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Remembrance Events for an 18-month fixed term contract to lead our esteemed Remembrance Events team. Reporting directly to the Director of Remembrance, you will be responsible for leading  a team  of event professionals  to deliver the nation’s most longstanding Remembrance events.  As well as ensuring that the Festival of Remembrance and Veteran March Past the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday continue to evolve in line with our Remembrance for All approach you’ll lead the delivery of high profile one-off commemorative events.

TIn your role, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the Royal British Legion’s Remembrance strategy and plans, engaging key stakeholders to ensure a trusted and transparent relationship. You will lead on relationship development and liaison with key stakeholders, ensuring that Remembrance objectives are central to negotiations and event development. You will also create opportunities for engagement and long-term relationship development that supports the Royal British Legions strategic delivery, ensuring data-driven, targeted audience growth based on research and insight. 

Operationally, you will lead the planning and delivery of events that support the development of relationships with priority audiences, including youth, diverse, armed forces, and heartland communities. You will provide direction and line management to the Director of Music, ensuring events have suitable musical accompaniment. You will ensure each event is delivered using excellent project management practices, negotiate with partners and contractors to ensure alignment with the Royal British Legion’s objectives and best value for the charity.  You will develop a process of review and continuous improvement. This role requires strong financial management, control planning, and operational budgeting to ensure cost-effective delivery of activities while meeting key KPIs.

Our client, a leading London University are currently looking to recruit a temporary Academic Admin and Student Engagement Manager on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). The post will be looking to start as soon as possible, running for 2 months in the first instance. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days onsite based in Greenwich.

Key responsibilities for this post will include:

• Providing line management and effective leadership to the Academic Administration team to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Overseeing the running of the Student Engagement team.
• Working with the Dean to project manage and ensure the successful completion of strategic tasks across departments and courses.
• Working with various department heads to support with budget monitoring and ensuring that resource demands are met consistently.
• Proactively working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective running of interdepartmental processes and service delivery.
• Producing relevant management information in an efficient and timely manner to inform both internal and external decision-making and reporting.

We are recruiting an interim Grants Operations and Data Manager, responsible for the systems, processes and data that contribute to the smooth running of the Foundation’s funding programmes.

The Rothschild Foundation delivers funding programmes both locally, in its home county of Buckinghamshire, and nationally, across England. Our areas of interest are Arts and Culture and Regenerative Food and Farming, where we make a number of multi-year investments each year, as well as operating a Community Fund which provides small grants to support local communities.

This is an exciting time to join the Grants Team. We have begun to refine our approach to our local funding through a Theory of Change process, involving local stakeholders in developing our intended outcomes. Following a review of our food and farming activity, we are developing a rejuvenated Regenerative Food and Farming strategy for our national activity in spring 2024. We have recently begun to develop our evaluation and learning processes.

We are lucky to call the beautiful Waddesdon Estate our home, operating from an office based on the Estate. Our grant-making is inspired by the art collection and buildings of Waddesdon Manor and the natural environment and farming practice of the Waddesdon Estate. We develop close working relationships with our grantees, often using our spaces and our cultural and environmental assets to support their work.

We offer hybrid working with some home-working, with Wednesday a dedicated day with the department all in the office.

Specific Duties Include
Systems and IT:

• Management of grants database (Blackbaud Grantmaking) including maintenance, auditing and system updates.
• Development of the database including external portal to improve user experience.
• Management and creation of online grant application and reporting forms with associated grantee correspondence and staff management dashboards.
• Working closely with IT and Records Management to structure and maintain the Grants Team’s SharePoint site and shared drives.

Finance:

• Develop, manage and maintain reporting systems to enable effective financial reporting.
• Develop and implement robust due diligence processes for all stages of grant making.
• Oversee grant payment requests and instructions, liaising with Accounts department to ensure payments are made on time and in accordance with grant agreements.
• Liaison with the Accounts department to prepare year end grants reports for statutory accounts and external auditing.

Data and Learning:

• Management and development of systems for collating and organising quantitative and qualitative data to meet evaluation and learning needs.
• Data analysis including creation of infographics and data visualisation.
• Liaison with external partners on systems for collating, organising and sharing data in accordance with current data regulation.
• Supporting the Buckinghamshire Data Exchange (BDEx) by providing data updates and contributing to project effectiveness.
• Ensuring regular grant data updates to the 360 Giving portal are made

Communications:

• Management of the RF website including updates, content creation and liaising with website developers.
• Review of website content to ensure alignment with accessibility guidelines.
• Management of the RF’s social media presence including LinkedIn profile and MailChimp newsletter.
• Assist in production of the RF’s publications, such as Annual Review.

Line Management:

• Line management responsibility of the Grants Officer role.

Administration:

• Manage and improve administrative processes and procedures.
• Preparation of Committee and Trustee papers.
• Minute taking (if required).
• Support where needed in planning and organising logistics for events, in collaboration with Waddesdon’s Private Events and Operational Teams where appropriate.

The role would suit people who have:

• Experience of managing databases, including some experience of grant-making software. We use Blackbaud and training can be provided.
• Experience of share drives and Microsoft office.
• Experience of developing processes for data collection and analysis, including infographics.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Administrative and Logistical Support Specialist. This role has two distinct areas of responsibility: providing administrative and logistical support for the smooth running of our London office (70%) and assisting with the general operations of the Trustees, including coordination of Board meetings (30%). Are you an outstanding Programme Compliance/Funding Specialist?

We are proud to be partnering with an environmental focused grant giving and programmes focused charity to find an Interim Programme Funding Manager. The duration of this role is expected to be for 3-6 months with scope to become permanent. Fully remote and UK based.

The Programme Funding Manager will provide cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This will include collaborating with multiple teams internationally, including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.

The role will also be responsible for the budget management of all programmatic activities, working with Programmes colleagues, Advisory Board representatives, donor relationship managers, Finance staff and others to ensure funds are spent appropriately in line with project plans and donor obligations.

You will design and implement systematic and operational improvements to ensure high standards of donor compliance and budget and funding management across the organisation, in partnership with the global Operations, Grants Management, Programmes, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships / Development teams.

You will ensure that funded activities are managed responsibly in order to align with donor requirements; maintain a good understanding of donor budgets and contractual obligations and coordinate with Philanthropic Partnerships colleagues to ensure compliance. You will also provide timely, accurate information on funded activities to support the completion of high-quality donor proposals and reports as required.

This role will also require programme support and you will project manage specific donor-funded activities where the charity holds responsibility for implementation, especially in relation to outsourced consultancy work where the supplier contract is held. This includes working closely with Programmes and Philanthropic Partnerships teams to define roles and responsibilities and implementation timeframes; monitoring progress; and identifying and resolving potential challenges with implementation.

This role is fully remote although will require quarterly visits to London for team get togethers.
