With demonstrable experience of planning, project managing and delivering video and photo shoots, you will have excellent media editing skills, ideally using Adobe Creative Suite. Creative in bringing ideas and advice to internal projects you will have experience creating and editing graphics for print and digital content and have expertise in working with an internal communications team or in producing colleague-facing content.

The Hounslow LIFE service is a large multi-site service with a large team of colleagues with specialisms in Homelessness, Substance Use and Mental Health to provide a recovery based approach to 86 clients across our different sites.  

In the role of Recovery Support Worker, you will: 

• Work with clients on their road to recovery, aiding clients to gain the necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation.  

• Provide support to maintain independence in the community, build their skills for employment, manage their health needs, and look towards a brighter future.  

• Oversee housing management responsibilities to ensure we deliver safe, high-quality services. 

In this role you will work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays. Staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

In this role you will jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and provide basic support and advice to clients. You will be the first point of contact at Reception for clients and visitors and have the opportunity to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. You will coordinate Health and Safety checks and administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person centred support to residents and clients.

About you

This role is ideal for people looking to develop a career in the sector; a number of current Managers started their career as Duty Workers. In addition you will have:

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment and good communication skills.

• Thrive on developing relationships with internal teams, supporters and external agencies with excellent interpersonal skills when speaking to members of the public and colleagues about Gifts in Wills.
• Have end to end experience planning and delivering legacy and in memory activities that deliver against budgeted key performance indicators and have a strong working knowledge of fundraising compliance.
• Have a proven track record of successfully planning and delivering legacy and in memory giving programmes.
• Love talking to our amazing supporters about Scope’s work and have an excellent eye for stellar legacy and in memory giver stewardship.
• Understand the importance of an engaging case for support that motivates and encourages supporters to leave a gift in their will or in memory of a loved one and know how to embed a culture of legacy giving.

Secondment/fixed term opportunity (until 31 March 2025 with a possibility of extension)

About the role

We are currently looking for a Custody Housing Advice Worker to be based in Prison Establishment HMP Belmarsh to support The Probation Services objective in reducing reoffending.

In this role you will be assessing clients’ housing needs and take action to prevent homelessness by;

• Supporting clients to retain existing accommodation or to relinquish tenancies to avoid accruing rent arrears and debt.
• To support clients who will be homeless on release to access appropriate accommodation.
• Working alongside The Probation Service to achieve set interventions to prevent homelessness.
• Working as part of a larger team based across 10 prisons and multiple probation office.

The post requires the successful candidate to be in prison establishments 2.5 days per week (2 full days and 1 half day).

About you

To be successful in this role you will have;

• Some experience of working with ex-offenders and people who are homeless/at risk of becoming homeless.
• The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team within the prison and probation environment and to maintain effective relationships with external agencies.
• The ability to work flexibly in a changing and often challenging environment.
• The ability to work to agreed deadlines and targets.
• The ability to cope with clients with multiple needs, who may display challenging behavior.

It is mandatory for the successful candidate to undertake and pass Prison Security Vetting at Level 1.
