We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team as Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a 9 month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £46,581.14 per annum plus excellent benefits.

This is an exciting role that will be responsible for leading our brand-new Philanthropy and Partnership’s Research and Engagement Team. This team is responsible for ensuring direct fundraisers are equipped to make compelling asks and steward donors. They cover prospect research, KPI and pipeline reporting, high value events, stewardship and engagement asset creation, and cross team operational support.
Responsibilities of our Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager:
As Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing Cats Protection’s prospect research and high value donor development programme, including pipeline development, portfolio management, supporter stewardship and proposition creation. A key focus of this role will be to identify funders, advise on their capacity to support the charity’s work and assist in the development of strategic corporate, major donor and foundation relationships that deliver agreed income targets and achieve the organisations ambition for Philanthropy & Partnerships income streams.

Through a partnership with Shooters Hill College, we have secured funding for a Young People’s Counsellor. The successful candidate will provide individual, face-to-face counselling support in weekly 50-minute sessions to students attending Shooters Hill College who require support with their mental health and/or wellbeing.
You will be a qualified counsellor with experience of working with young people. You will understand the importance of caseload management, service evaluation and will be familiar with impact and outcomes measurement of counselling interventions. These will be carried out at the beginning and end of therapy and throughout the duration of the service using appropriate clinical measurement tools and a satisfaction survey. You will also have experience of using CRM databases.
You will need to be organised and have the confidence to communicate effectively with a range of people. A flexible can-do attitude and a calm, problem-solving approach is also essential for this role. We consider accessibility, responsiveness and a client-centred approach the key strengths of our services at SEL Mind. You will be able to demonstrate these qualities through relevant work experience.
Please note that annual leave cannot be taken during term time for this role. A holiday uplift is included in the salary above.

Are you passionate about capturing and sharing learning from projects and programmes and able to analyse and summarise key points from a wealth of information? ISEAL´s Innovations Fund is a central component of our work to catalyse innovations that improve the effectiveness and deepen the impacts of market-based approaches to sustainability. This is an exciting role to support the development of a learning agenda and value proposition for the Fund as well as producing relevant communications and reports.
First launched in 2016, the Fund supports innovative projects by ISEAL Community Members to help sustainability systems deliver more value to their stakeholders and effectively drive sustainability improvement on the ground, over time, and at scale. The Fund provides grants that enable recipients to develop and test new technologies and approaches, while drawing out cross-project learning to share with the wider sustainability community.
The Associate Manager will work closely with grantees to improve the ways learning is extracted from the projects. We will look to the position to take ownership of the engagement processes necessary to collate and share lessons learnt in a strongly collaborative setting with Community Member organisations or other stakeholders.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Implementation of Innovations Fund learning agenda
- Develop and maintain an overall learning agenda for the Fund, and support Fund and programme team on its delivery
- Organise and conduct stakeholder interviews and other forms of research to extract project learnings, alone and in collaboration with other project staff
- Facilitate peer to peer interactions between organisations participating in projects to share and discuss learning, including supporting the organisation and delivery of project workshops and ISEAL events such as Members Weeks
- Capture key learnings from grantees based on the learning agenda by leading the design of grantee knowledge sharing sessions (theme-focused learnings), as well as cross-thematic learning workshops
- Lead explorations on the need for external research and scoping activities to inform the focus of Fund’s thematic funding rounds.

Communications

The role of Volunteer Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. It’s an exciting time for an experienced Service Manager to join us and lead on the delivery and development of our new services for both perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse across Birmingham and the Black Country.
Initially your focus will be on establishing and promoting our recently set up Choose2Change behaviour change programme and delivering the OPCC funded Pathways to Change Project for perpetrators of domestic abuse in Sandwell, working closely with other partners and ensuring that targets are met. You will have knowledge of safeguarding legislation and experience of managing safeguarding issues. You will be solution focussed and provide positive leadership, working as part of our dedicated, friendly management. In this developing role, you’ll also be able to think strategically and comfortable working hands on.
Flexibility in working hours to meet service needs and manage risk or safety concerns is needed and some evening hours may be required. Based at our Birmingham office, the role will involve visiting our other locations and attending external meetings, so some travelling will be necessary. Up to 2 days a week may be worked from home depending on work requirements. We offer ongoing development, 25 days leave, a pension scheme and staff wellbeing support.
This is a full time post (37.5 hours), but a 4 day week (30 hours) would be considered for this role.

Relate Birmingham is a local charity aiming to build better relationships and improve wellbeing for local people through the provision of services including counselling for couples, families and children and young people, family mediation, training and group work, child contact and domestic abuse programmes and we are members of the national Relate federation. We have premises in Birmingham and Wolverhampton as well as other community venues and we and deliver services both face to face and online. We have a diverse client group across Birmingham and the Black Country area, with self-paying clients as well as funded projects, contracts and partnerships.
Our Domestic Abuse programmes currently include Choose2Change which is a Respect Accredited group behaviour change programme and Fresh Start which is a programme of individual sessions of psychoeducation, both for low-medium risk level participants. Services are delivered face to face and online. We plan to develop and diversify our service offer to include other programmes, training and therapeutic support.

Your Job Description
As a Youth Project Leader, you will:
• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.
• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.
• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.
• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.
• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.
• Keep in touch with the parents/carers of the young people in your group about attendance, successes and challenges.
• Manage your project’s weekly admin by planning your sessions, maintaining your attendance and providing detailed project updates to your line manager.
• Attend ReachOut events and socials with their mentors. • Follow ReachOut’s policies/procedures to safeguard young people.
• Act and communicate in a professional manner, in line with ReachOut character strengths and culture.
• Attend all compulsory training.
