We require a HR Officer to lead in transactional HR processes to ensure compliance and smooth operation of activities such as recruitment and selection, supporting people processes, advising on our policies, recording and updating people records, liaising and coordinating meetings, reporting on performance and liaising with HR advisory services.

The postholder will carry out all essential administration for the HR & Business Support Manager in line with relevant regulations, standards and legislation and manage the process for HR functions such as safe recruitment, contracts of employment, probations, family leave, disciplinary and grievance issues, training and professional development.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, self-motivated, committed and reliable. You must be able to build effective working relationships with managers and staff, support absence management processes and assist with the preparation of payroll related checks.

We require the post holder to have the ability to work independently with strong time management, organisational and planning skills.  Proficient IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and experience of working with databases and online systems is essential. 

Two years' experience of HR or relevant function is essential and an appropriate professional qualification (or working towards this) such as CIPD level 3 is desirable. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for leading the development of our Procurement Strategy and the associated policies and processes, as well as managing key procurement activity, increasing the skills of colleagues and developing our approach to reporting and compliance. Our fundraising approach is due for a shake up, after we’ve spent the last couple of years refocussing our efforts and consolidating our approach. About the role

This post is responsible for building high level relationships across Christian Aid's sponsoring and other churches in the UK, that are mutually beneficial and deliver on strategic advocacy on shared priority issues, in particular economic justice, climate justice and conflict prevention issues. This includes working with Bishops in the Lords and other relevant parliamentarians (particularly within the Lords), as well as senior leaders across the range of Christian Aid's sponsoring churches and beyond. You will be an excellent communicator and a strong advocate, with some experience of working with senior church leaders as advocacy partners, including in parliament. What is the role?

We are looking for a People Services Manager based in Winchester, at our Central Office. The role will develop and improve our People services and processes throughout every stage of a colleague's life. 

The role will enable our People team to be more efficient and effective. Including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining colleague data, it will also involve investigating and addressing discipline and grievance issues. The role will cover tracking every detail about our colleagues while they are at Brendoncare, including processing colleagues' careers and pay changes.

To develop and provide excellent people-related reporting capabilities to meet both the needs of our business and in support of regulatory and legal compliance.

You will be the first point of contact inside and outside the organisation. You will handle all people-related systems. You will also work with second and third-tier support providers for Colleagues and Brendoncare as needed. 

Who are you?

You will have experience in one or more HR functions. These include recruitment, ER, learning and development, and operations. Or, they can be operational Customer Services/experience roles. For example, in a call centre or payroll. You must also have managed a team. Ideally, in one or more of the above functions.

You need to be a competent and confident system user, ideally within HR. You also need a strong background in process design and flow improvement. This includes system integration and data management expertise.

You will be confident in making decisions and prioritising. You can influence and manage stakeholders. You will have strong delegation skills. You will be confident in your ability to empower others to reach their potential.

You must flex your style and approach based on the need and the person or team. You also need strong Office 365 skills, especially in Word and Excel.

It would be great if you are CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification, have experience working across multiple sites, and have experience in the Care Sector.

The role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Income Generation to join our senior leadership team. This new and pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing robust income generation strategies to diversify and grow our funding and trading streams. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising or sales, building strategic partnerships, and driving innovation in income generation. As a key player in our organisation, you will lead a dedicated team and work collaboratively to ensure the sustainability and expansion of our vital programmes.

Key responsibilities

Income Generation Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive income generation strategy that aligns with the charity’s mission and goals;

• Identify and explore new income streams, including fundraising, partnerships, and product development.

Fundraising:

• Oversee all fundraising activities, including trusts and foundations and individual giving;

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, funders, and sponsors;

• Develop compelling fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives to attract new supporters;

• Oversee bids and pitches;

• Act as an ambassador for the charity, championing its interests locally and nationally with stakeholders and potential supporters.

Business Development and Partnerships:

• Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with businesses, foundations, and other organisations;

• Develop new business and partnership engagement communications - a suite of tools and collateral;

• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional development;

• Collaborate with the wider Leadership Team on Future Frontiers’ strategy and plan for growth;

• Play a key role in the development and delivery of charity-wide culture initiatives and the EDI strategy.

 

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage the income generation budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources;

• Monitor and report on income generation performance, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board of Trustees;

• Oversee production of annual report and fundraising matters for the annual accounts and audit;

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in fundraising management.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of trends, opportunities, and challenges in the fundraising, education and social mobility sectors;

• Encourage and implement innovative approaches to income generation;

• Continuously evaluate and improve income generation strategies and processes, including maximising effectiveness of the CRM system (SalesForce).

About you

Experience:

• Proven experience in developing and delivering successful income generation strategies (Essential);

• Demonstrated success in growing income through diverse streams, including one or more of fundraising, partnerships, philanthropy and product development (Essential);

Westway Trust are seeking a full-time Communications Manager who will work closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing to develop and deliver annual Communications, Marketing and Engagement plans that demonstrates and promotes Westway Trust strategic priorities.

This is a pivotal role in the organisation with responsibility for managing the multimedia and digital ecosystem at Westway Trust; generating regular, creative and engaging multimedia content whilst line managing a small team.
