About the role
We’re looking for an Impact and Involvement Officer to join our Research, Impact, and Voice team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving meaningful change by supporting the organisation in delivering projects that are both effective and inclusive. You’ll work across teams to ensure high-quality project delivery, with a strong focus on impact measurement and meaningful involvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Co-ordinate our Experts by Experience network to ensure lived experience is at the heart of our work.

The Talent Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s Talent Hub. The role will work closely with and support the Head of Talent & Inclusion to deliver the Foundation’s talent management strategy. The role will coordinate and evaluate internal learning and development initiatives, fostering a structured learning culture that supports a high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development – Plan, Coordinate, and Deliver
- Collaborate with the Head of Talent & Inclusion and key stakeholders to implement and assess the Learning & Development (L&D) plan, ensuring it meets mandatory requirements, employee needs, and aligns with the organisation’s values and culture.
- Work with external suppliers to develop high-quality learning content.
- Ensure effective coordination of training to support employee growth and career progression.

- Line Manage the Communications Officer

Key Responsibilities
People/HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Liaise with the People Business Partners to prepare HR documents, such as contracts, carry out suitable checks (such as OH and DBS) and take up references.
- Assist with People Operations Analyst with reporting, including tracking key metrics such as absence, turnover, and compliance.

We are looking for a number of part-time (up to 14 hours per week) seasonal Visitor Experience Assistants to work with our existing expert groups of volunteer welcomers, guides and shop assistants during peak holiday periods.
This role will involve welcoming people in and inviting them to explore our glorious Cathedral to learn more about the building and its purpose at the same time as developing new skills.
As part of your induction successful candidates will attend a Training Day with a course developed and delivered by our Visitor Experience Manager and an accredited training company covering Visitor Experience, customer service fundraising techniques, safety and safeguarding.
This role comes at an exciting time for the Cathedral. In 2024 we were awarded £118,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to create a new dynamic space, combining our shop and welcome area with a new heritage exhibition space.
Primary Objectives

Greet and welcome visitors to Portsmouth Cathedral, helping to provide an experience above their expectations.

Implement a refreshed emphasis on articulating ‘the ask’ for donations and be part of a new group testing innovative donation methods and solutions.

Job Description
DMI is looking to recruit a Research Officer/Manager, whereby candidates from any location where DMI has a permanent presence (London, Antananarivo, Kampala, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Maputo, Mwanza, and Ouagadougou) are invited to apply. The salary and title of this role is dependent experience, and DMI will consider outstanding Masters graduates through to post-doctoral level researchers. To succeed, you will need to demonstrate significant research experience and a highly proficient report writing abilities.
More specifically, the Research Officer/Manager role will include the following responsibilities:
1. Designing and managing effective and scientifically robust evaluations (both quantitative and qualitative) for DMI projects.
2. Overseeing, advising, and supporting research teams in DMI’s national offices to conduct routine research activities (for example, focus groups to understand barriers to behaviour change) and other project specific research tasks.
3. Commissioning and managing external agencies (usually based in the country that we are working) to carry out surveys. This includes the competitive selection of an agency, often using a tendering process, liaising with the selected agency and ensuring that their work is of the highest scientific standards.
4. Contributing to writing and publishing reports based on data gathered and methodologies used during DMI projects. This will include articles for peer-reviewed academic journals and wider scientific publications.
5. Providing technical support to project design during the proposal phase, particularly in relation to the design of monitoring and evaluation elements.
6. Keeping abreast of the latest research evidence, theories, and concepts relevant to DMI’s campaign topics, and communicating trends and new ideas across the organisation.
7. Effectively communicating with, providing technical research support, and building the research capacity of colleagues (those with and without a research background) and sub-contractors in the areas of research methods, monitoring, process evaluation, and impact evaluation, analysis, and interpretation.

This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.

About this role
We are looking for a talented professional with a strong understanding of CRM and digital systems and a passion for maximising the value of data, who is looking to join an organisation where they can put their skills to use across all aspects of our operations. You will join at a key time to develop and embed our work in this area, providing critical support to all our teams as well as maintaining and developing our cross-organisation systems.
You will lead on the development, administration, and staff engagement with, and training on, our Salesforce CRM system. This will include data from, and working with, all departments of Impetus, including our donors and prospects, our collaboration with partner charities, and our communications with email audiences. You will also manage the relationship with our existing Salesforce partner agency, drawing on them for additional support resource and coordinating broader development projects. The successful candidate will have experience developing and drawing value from Salesforce, including both technical development and collaborating closely with teams to drive engagement and best practice.
You will be responsible for our other cross-organisational digital systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data warehouse, visualisation, and ETL tools, website analytics, and Digital Asset Management system, as well as providing support for our Finance and HR systems, including providing training to staff and answering any questions related to these systems.
