The Role

As our Centre Manager, you'll be the backbone of our daily operations, while ensuring our Twickenham centre runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll play a crucial role in supporting our staff, therapists, and volunteers, while also providing a welcoming environment for the families we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

·Oversee day-to-day centre operations, including opening/closing procedures and security and ensuring the facility runs smoothly and facilities are well maintained.

Wayfinder is our community led, relational homelessness programme. We're looking for a Engagement & Support Worker to join our small team and help support our participants and volunteers. 

The post requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will work as part of the Homeless Services Team to support clients across a number of our projects, with a primary focus on support our Wayfinder Participants.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable, homeless people or disadvantaged groups. The post is a mix of practical involvement and administrative work and requires flexible working and adaptable thinking. Some evening and weekend working will be required as part of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide advice and support to clients to help them stay in their property or find and secure long-term accommodation.

• To deliver activities, one to one support and group sessions to clients.

In this role you will;

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.

Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. The Director of Income Generation & Partnerships, along with the Director of Services & Development, lead the organisation's small staff team to deliver vital services to an average of 500 people every year. The Director of Income Generation is a vital link in The Food Chain, ensuring income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of all our services and activities, and setting the organisation’s strategic direction for the achievement of our charitable purpose.

Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. The role

As a result, Southwark Council is funding CAS to run a dedicated private renters’ support organisation to help support and promote the interests of private renters in the borough, and to undertake a range of activities to support and empower private tenants, particularly the most disadvantaged. 

To deliver the project we are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to provide overall coordination of the project and to lead on developing a proposal and business case for a permanent independent Renters’ Support Organisation in Southwark.

The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.

This is a unique oppertunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.

As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. You will also assist in delivering Baobab’s individual major donor programme, helping to set up and deliver communications and events related to this income stream. There is scope to explore further fundraising activites including events, corporate and community fundraising. You will play a central role and work closely with our operations team, as well as recieving expert monthly mentoring from a senoir fundraising consultant. 

This role is for 4 or 5 days per week depending on your preference, it will include Fridays which is when staff meetings are held.

Mental Health:  All of the young people Baobab supports suffer significant mental health and developmental difficulties and many function in an unstable and more immature way than their chronological age. Due to their experiences it takes time to gain trust from the young people in our community. As a core member of our team, you will understand the impact of specific human rights abuses on the development of children and young people in exile and their individual experiences of loss, trauma and grief on their mental health and well-being.

It often takes a significant amount of time to understand Baobab’s model of working, which aims for rehabilitation and justice through attending to both the internal and external world of each young. It is also important that you understand the ways in which UK society and policy impacts on young asylum seekers (including invisibility, marginalisation, discrimination, and the fact of waiting in uncertainty for a long time).

Senior Public Fundraising Officer

• Salary: £31,000
• Team: Public Fundraising Team

The Eve Appeal

The Eve Appeal is the UK’s leading charity working on prevention of the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. Our aim is to prevent gynaecological cancers and save lives by raising awareness and funding ground-breaking research focused on risk prediction, earlier detection and developing screening for all of the five gynae cancers.

What's this role about?

This exciting position is responsible for delivering our fundraising programme to the public, with support from our Deputy Head of Fundraising.

You will focus on delivering key fundraising activities and an exceptional experience to a wide range of supporters, ensuring that you deepen relationships and maximise value. You will also coordinate and deliver the marketing of our public fundraising activity, alongside colleagues in communications and digital engagement.

The role works across three key areas:

• Individual giving (direct marketing, regular giving, in-memory)
• Sporting events & challenges (virtual challenges, running events, our annual bespoke trek)
• Community fundraising (campaigns, community groups, ad-hoc fundraisers)

We do not expect you to have experience across all three areas.

This role is also responsible for the line management of our Fundraising Assistant, who you will help to develop in their role and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Person specification

To fulfil this role, we believe you will need the following skills and experiences:

• Experience in at least one of individual giving, sporting & challenge events, or community fundraising, or transferable skills and/or experience.
• Effective communicator, able to engage and inspire others about The Eve Appeal's work.
• Strong copywriting skills with experience targeting various audiences, channels, and activities.
• Understanding of digital marketing.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Ability to analyse data, derive insights, and present findings to influence decision making.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Ability to confidently use database software. Experience of Raiser’s Edge NXT is an advantage.
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• A demonstrable affinity, passion, and knowledge of women’s health and gynaecological cancers.

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to support the management of our special purpose funds (SPFs). These funds contain charitable donations for services across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and can be used to support projects that benefit patients and staff, over and above what the NHS could normally provide.

Our activity in this area is increasing, and we’re looking for someone to help us maintain the highest levels of administration and stakeholder engagement. In this role you will be responsible for managing the administration of our special purpose fund operations and processes. This will include the management of special purpose fund claims, a dedicated email inbox, invoice processing, engagement with NHS staff who oversee these funds (known as fund advisers) and other ad hoc administrative tasks.

Working closely with the Fund Engagement Officer, you will be expected to manage multiple tasks and deliver to strict deadlines. You will also contribute towards the team’s wider objectives and cross departmental working.
