An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Communication and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic social mobility charity which exists to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people having meaningful access to the natural world.  Through a week on one of our three heritage farms, Nethercott House in Devon, Lower Treginnis in Pembrokeshire, and Wick Court in Gloucestershire, children and young people experience increased learning and engagement, improved connections and wellbeing, and leave us with an enhanced sense of environmental citizenship.  Visiting children are immersed in the natural world of countryside through a food and farming offer that allows them to participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens; caring for livestock and looking after the land; and cooking up a home-grown feast in the farmhouse kitchen. In partnership with our commercial farming neighbours, children experience the benefits of collaboration, enjoy plenty of physical activity, good food, and fresh air, and discover the magical rural environment that is full of new words, sounds and experiences to inspire their creativity. About the Role

This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:

• raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
• deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
• secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.

The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
• Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
• Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.

This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

This role provides advice and advocacy to LGBTQ+ people who contact Stonewall Housing because they are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The goal is to help people understand their rights and navigate their housing options in order that they have somewhere safe to live. People usually contact us because they are in crisis, the Case Worker’s job is to calmly assess their housing needs, provide them with immediate advice and sign posting and, where necessary, provide advocacy case work to ensure they get access to what they are entitled to.

Key Responsibilities

· To provide a high quality, flexible and responsive advice and case work service to LGBTQ+ people, supporting them to exercise their rights and get access to safe accommodation.

· To assess the individual needs of each person and provide a bespoke advice and advocacy plan.

· To ensure that effective service user participation mechanisms are in place.

· To ensure a high level of customer care and practice at all times.

· To develop links with relevant external agencies.

Main Duties of the Post

Casework Sessions

· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our advice and advocacy service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.

· To assess each individual’s current housing situation and form a view with regards to risk associated with their case.

· To explore all options available to the service user allowing them to make informed decisions.

· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing the advice and advocacy to develop and review individual work plans and risk assessments.

· To have regular case work sessions to provide structured support, in relation to Housing specific issues.

· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.

Liaison with Landlords / Other Agencies

· To support service users to report repairs and work with landlords and advocate where necessary.

· To support service users to contact local authority, voluntary and private sector landlords to report anti-social behaviour issues and advocate where necessary.

· To support service users to present to local authorities as homeless, where appropriate, and advocate where necessary.

Other Duties

· To establish and maintain accurate and complete records in all areas of work

· To complete statistics for the collation of performance and funding information

· To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations in relation to funders and other key areas.

· To participate in individual and clinical supervision meetings, annual appraisals and training

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience

· Lived experience, or experience of working with homeless or vulnerable LGBTQ+ people, in a voluntary or paid employment setting

· Lived experience, or extensive experience of working with LGBTQ+ people.

· Experience of providing advice and advocacy support to vulnerable people in a professional setting

· Experience of working with and delivering services to a diverse client group with a wide range of support needs

About the Service

Solace provides safe refuge and move on accommodation to hundreds of women and children made homeless through domestic or sexual abuse. We run 19 refuges across London, including specialist refuge spaces for women with multiple needs. Of these, this role will involve working across two refuges in the borough of Barnet, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on the development of a child and family-centered approach to work in the refuge. In so doing, they will:

• Develop and deliver a range of trauma-informed services to children and young people (0-16 years) and their mothers within the refuge and when they are resettled into the community
• Ensure the completion of comprehensive assessments of family needs and risk of families, ensuring an integrated approach with children and adult services (internal and external)
• Ensure ongoing development of age-appropriate children activities
• Promote ‘Integrated Working’ through internal and external mechanisms in partnership with colleagues and community partnerships
• Coordinate the delivery of activities through session staff, volunteers, and student placements

About You

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and/or families, as well as knowledge of the effects that domestic abuse can have on young people.

Reporting to our Employee Relations Supervisor, this role will see you responsible for the coordination and administration of tasks related to our Employee Relations service. This can include grievance, absence, performance policies, procedures and change proposals.

· Administrative support to the Employee Relations team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and managing correspondence

· Working in partnership with People Admin, People Systems and Payroll for the delivery of an effective ER service.

· Triaging the ER Inbox and direct or escalate to the appropriate person/team

· Supporting the Employee Relations Team with note taking in meetings and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of ER cases

· Assisting in the delivery of training programmes related to employee relations and policies.

You will bring with you experience in a People/HR role and will be confident working with related HR documentation. You will be comfortable working with HRIS/People databases and will be able to demonstrate experience of providing internal customer service within a support function.

Main duties and responsibilities

 Casework management -

• Oversee the casework service delivery by managing a potential high number of referrals colleagues in the regions and professionals effectively, by deciding eligibility for services, and providing timely, helpful, and legally accurate responses at all times.
• Line manages all casework advisers by supporting and enabling them to provide high quality information and advice support, and signposting to external specialist agencies in a sensitive, confidential, and professional manner.

Service development and delivery -

• Maintain high quality, current client records in accordance with organisational policies, funder requirements, and relevant legislation, and support advisers and volunteers to manage their data within the client database.
• Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with a range of practitioners including local authority social workers, managers, legal representatives, health and education professionals and voluntary sector agencies, referring children who are age disputed to other agencies where it is in the best interests of the child.

Role Overview:

The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a fantastic national charity as they look for a Corporate Development Manager to support them in this fantastic role.

The successful candidate will own and develop the organisation’s corporate fundraising proposition. You will grow corporate income and build a sector leading team in order to deliver an annual seven-figure sum from corporate partnerships within five years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a strong pipeline of potential business partners.
• Secure long-term, high-value partnerships that meet income goals.
• Deepen relationships and loyalty with existing corporate partners.

What the job involves

As the leader of a flexible and multi-skilled team, a mixture of Health Influencing and Policy specialists you’ll use your expert knowledge and skills to maximise the positive impact that we have in shaping health policy and practice to effectively deliver on our strategic priority to maximise our positive impact for men with prostate cancer.

You’ll provide effective and timely analysis of a wide range of complex policy issues, identifying policy developments that we can and should influence, or that we should support the implementation of, to further our impact with our communities. You will promote understanding of the health and care system among internal staff and our external communities and audiences.

You’ll grow our ability to successfully influence key stakeholders for the delivery of our strategy, particularly NICE for approval of new treatments. You’ll ensure that the team have strategic relationships with health stakeholders across the UK (e.g. Cancer Alliances/Health Boards) so that we can proactively engage them to support the delivery of our strategic priorities and rapidly react to care issues that arise.

What we want from you

You’ll bring an excellent understanding of the different health services, policy and systems across the UK and how these can be influenced. You’ll be an excellent communicator and presenter, credible at senior levels with external stakeholders and partners.

We’re looking for someone experienced in developing and managing influencing strategic programmes, working across team and organisational boundaries ensuring the ranging evidence collected is used effectively to provide a strong analysis. 

You’ll have experience of influencing significant service improvement or policy change at a national level, including the approvals process for new treatments. You’ll be familiar with identifying, interpreting, and critically appraising a wide range of evidence and data to provide sound analysis of policy issues.

The Senior Events and Programme Coordinator (Leadership) has key responsibility for supporting our Leadership Programmes working alongside the Events and Membership Manager and the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.

The Programme, Network and Event Coordination Team is a key core team led by our Events and Membership Manager, responsible for ensuring that professional programmes, network and event support is provided to the QNI’s core programmes of work and the nurses in the team that lead them.

The role will also pick up other co-ordinator duties as part of the wider team which is expected to work flexibly to cover the requirements of the organisation.

The post holder will require the ability to work in a fast-paced response environment with a high level of efficiency and the ability to take initiative. Essential is the ability to manage, balance and prioritise several one-off tasks and while ensuring critical routine tasks still take place. While not a key prerequisite for the role, project management would be a skill that would be expected to be developed.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Community Awareness and Engagement Manager to join our Policy and Health Influencing Team and support volunteers raising awareness of prostate cancer in their communities. 

Alongside engaging volunteers speaking about their lived experience and hosting information stands, you’ll be delivering our new Lifesaving Conversations programme, giving volunteers the tools and confidence to raise awareness of prostate cancer risk in an informal way.

We use our knowledge to influence and reduce racial health inequalities across the UK and the world to save the lives of men, and more Black men, who are at double the risk of prostate cancer as the general population. You’ll manage the Black health equity engagement team whose main responsibility currently is to increase awareness, trust and engagement with Black communities, requesting volunteers to reflect the increased risk and impact of prostate cancer on Black men. 

You’ll develop and manage relationships with key stakeholder groups to deliver a programme of community awareness and engagement around the risk of prostate cancer. You’ll also be providing role specific training to volunteers ensuring they have the tools to reach and engage with men most impacted by prostate cancer. 

Collaboration is an important aspect of the role as you partner with Health Services, Equity and Improvement colleagues where Lifesaving Conversations and community awareness volunteers can support strategic objectives. You’ll also work with our Partnerships Team to deliver an income generating corporate awareness offer.

Working closely with the Volunteer Experience Manager, you’ll have input in communications, supporter journeys and developing community networks for volunteers. You’ll evaluate the impact of our work in engagement and awareness to increase our impact.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll get to meet volunteers and supporters and see first-hand the work of Prostate Cancer UK. Together we are supporting and raising awareness of the impact of prostate cancer, providing men with the knowledge of their risk and the power to act on it. 

What we want from you

To be successful in this role you’ll have excellent knowledge and experience of leading and managing cross-organisational programmes and projects.

You’ll have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing and be able to adapt to suit your audience from volunteers to health professionals. You’ll also be able to successfully build relationships and feel comfortable with engaging communities and stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with volunteers and keep the end user in mind so have to be able to show previous experience in user involvement, putting customers at the heart of project planning and delivery with a passion for inclusion and accessibility.

Knowledge of, or previous experience in health campaigns and volunteering within the charity sector will be beneficial for this role but we also recognise transferable skills from other sectors. In this role you’ll also be meeting members of the community and their families who have experienced the impact of prostate cancer and empathy, and understanding will be crucial to this role.

Following a merger between St Barnabas Hospices (incorporating St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House) and Martlets, we are now the largest group of hospices in Sussex and one of the largest in the UK. We are recruiting for a Major Gifts Manager to join our Philanthropy Team. Following the merger of three hospices, this new role will support us in developing our Major Gifts portfolio across Barnabas House, Martlets, and Chestnut Tree House hospices.

The Major Gifts Manager is a critical role within the Philanthropy Team, overseeing the trusts and major donors income streams. With the support of the Head of Philanthropy, the postholder is responsible for strategic planning and execution to maximise income for St Barnabas House, Martlets, and Chestnut Tree House hospices. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional relationship manager with extensive knowledge and expertise in their field

Founded in 1924, Woodgreen’s mission is to care for vulnerable pets, whether they have been abandoned, neglected, are vulnerable or simply need a home. Our vision is for every pet to have a home where they are loved, well cared for and enjoy positive relationships with their owners.

We do this through digital engagement and through operations at our rescue centre, veterinary surgery, kennels, cattery, small animal centre and fields outside Godmanchester near Huntingdon.

Woodgreen is in an exciting period of growth and transformation and we are seeking to recruit an experienced, ambitious Data Engineer on an 18 month fixed term contract to take responsibility for our data systems and architecture as part of our plans to become a more digital, data-led, pet services organisation.

The successful applicant will have experience in Data Warehousing in Microsoft Azure, SQL, Database Administration or Azure Synapse Analytics.  In addition they will have outstanding software engineering skills with the ability to deliver, maintain and support our organisations software and help create an evidence-driven data culture.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Technology, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to Woodgreen, our customers & supporters and the animals that we care for.
