What is the role?

We are looking for a People Services Manager based in Winchester, at our Central Office. The role will develop and improve our People services and processes throughout every stage of a colleague's life. 

The role will enable our People team to be more efficient and effective. Including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining colleague data, it will also involve investigating and addressing discipline and grievance issues. The role will cover tracking every detail about our colleagues while they are at Brendoncare, including processing colleagues' careers and pay changes.

To develop and provide excellent people-related reporting capabilities to meet both the needs of our business and in support of regulatory and legal compliance.

You will be the first point of contact inside and outside the organisation. You will handle all people-related systems. You will also work with second and third-tier support providers for Colleagues and Brendoncare as needed. 

Who are you?

You will have experience in one or more HR functions. These include recruitment, ER, learning and development, and operations. Or, they can be operational Customer Services/experience roles. For example, in a call centre or payroll. You must also have managed a team. Ideally, in one or more of the above functions.

You need to be a competent and confident system user, ideally within HR. You also need a strong background in process design and flow improvement. This includes system integration and data management expertise.

You will be confident in making decisions and prioritising. You can influence and manage stakeholders. You will have strong delegation skills. You will be confident in your ability to empower others to reach their potential.

You must flex your style and approach based on the need and the person or team. You also need strong Office 365 skills, especially in Word and Excel.

It would be great if you are CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification, have experience working across multiple sites, and have experience in the Care Sector.

Job Summary 

The Youth Development Worker (YDW) is a crucial and exciting role that aims to support youth mission and ministry in churches across the Stepney episcopal area, with an immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches from both evangelical and Anglo-Catholic traditions involved in our five new Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries. 

Job responsibilities 

• Work intensively with parishes to develop their offer using the parish development pathway. With immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches involved in our five new Youth Minsters 

• Leads and support Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries, including working to achieve missional impact and financial sustainability by 2030 

• Lead implementation of Diocese Growing Younger Strategy in The Stepney Area. 

• Oversight of the youth budget in partnership with the Programme Manager (shared oversight) 

• To develop partnerships with Tower Hamlets youth projects

Job Title: West Yorkshire Full-time Maths Tutor

Reporting to:  West Yorkshire Programme Manager

Responsible for: Delivery of academic intervention in Maths to pupils in educational environments for Tutor Trust

Job Purpose: Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· To plan and deliver tuition to primary/secondary school aged pupils (from 9-16 years old) across West Yorkshire in Maths on a 1:1 to 1:4 ratio.

The West Yorkshire team is based in central Leeds offices however, there is the opportunity for hybrid/remote working. The job is a full-time, position with frequent travel required across the West Yorkshire Region to deliver tuition.  All reasonable travel expenses on Tutor Trust business will be reimbursed (not including your regular commute from home to the Tutor Trust office). 

Holiday entitlement will be 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays, pro rata). The role will involve working occasional unsocial hours in the evenings and at weekends.

To be successful, you will need the following:

• A minimum of a master's degree in the environment or climate-related studies, such as environmental studies/water resource management, climate science, or another relevant technical field.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in climate change, sustainable development, capacity building and WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in working to strengthen elements of WASH systems and understanding of WASH interaction with other systems such as climate change and programme/project development and management in any INGOs or organization.
• Excellent understanding and experience in National Adaptation Planning (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) revision and implementation

Part 1: Role Purpose:

The Global Press & PR Manager will play a vital role in growing awareness and exposure of Street Child, working with journalists, editors and media houses to build a consistent and pro-active media presence. Street Child’s Global MMC team is fully integrated into the whole organisation and our primary aim is to raise awareness of Street Child and act as a force-multiplier for fundraising efforts.

The role will explore new media relationships and re-ignite existing contacts, turbo-charging the value press and media generates for Street Child.

This is a role for a high-class media professional with a passion for our mission, great energy, imaginations and fantastic relationship building skills. This role requires an individual who will be based in our London office for a minimum of three days a week.

Tasks include delivering media coverage across global outlets, supporting the delivery of media training and briefings and the management/development of Street Child’s podcast.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Delivering global media coverage (80%):

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with journalists across a range of broadcast, print and digital media outlets, looking beyond mainstream media to deliver global reach.
• Writing and publishing compelling, engaging press releases
• Manage and deliver media coverage on key campaigns and initiatives
• Support on the delivery of media briefings, including for the CEO, where required
• Lead and deliver PR campaigns, including influencer activations and activity
• Support the planning and management of overseas and UK trips for the purpose of generating coverage and content, often with journalists or high-profile supporters
• Be available for out of hours media, this will see you handling media enquiries and proactively pushing out stories at the weekend and out of hours during the week- this is crucial to communicating our rapid responses in a timely manner.
• Podcast management and development (10%)
• Develop and implement Street Child’s podcast strategy, aligning it with the broader communications and fundraising goals.
• Plan, research, and produce engaging podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality content that highlights Street Child’s programmes, impact stories, and key messages. This includes scripting, interviewing, editing, and post-production.
• Identify, reach out to, and coordinate with potential guests, including Street Child staff, beneficiaries, industry experts, and celebrity supporters. Manage these relationships to ensure a diverse and compelling line-up of interviewees.
• Monitor and analyse podcast performance metrics, listener feedback, and industry trends. Use insights to continuously improve content quality, format, and reach, ensuring the podcast remains relevant and impactful.
• Work with the wider team to develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to grow the podcast’s audience.

Strategic support (10%):

• Working closely with key stakeholders from other departments within Street Child to provide PR support, as well as developing and executing creative ways to deliver Street Child’s objectives.

The role:

The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:

1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Street Child, one of the world's fastest growing children's charities, are searching for a high-quality corporate partnerships professional with events experience to help maximise the multi-layered opportunities flowing from the charity's unique relationship with Liberty Global plc.

Working directly into the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising the position will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic partnership delivery and fundraising events function for the Street Child/Liberty Global partnership, for which Liberty Global won 'Business of the Year' in the 2021 Third Sector Business Charity Awards. The role will:

1. Support excellent delivery of existing key pillars of the partnership with Liberty Global (e.g. annual 2-day European 'Big Ride' cycle/run/walk event; and spectacular Autumn London Fundraising Gala - with a combined attendance of 1,200+ & revenues of £2m+).

2. Explore and deliver on new activities and opportunities to further grow the quality and impact of the partnership, involving close collaboration with both internal and external Communications teams.

3. Work closely with our Partnership Development and New Business function to maximise the extraordinary potential of the warm introductions, often at a highly influential level, Liberty provide to their wider corporate community of subsidiaries, partners & vendors – spanning the tech, media, finance/banking, consulting, legal & other professional services spaces.

4. Support and lead on other cross-organisational events as required, including our Spring Gala and Christmas Carol Concert.

This is a phenomenal opportunity demanding a highly professional, strategic thinker and responsive fundraiser with strong relationship-building, and classic 'account management' skills. Working closely with each client, the post holder will lead a dedicated finance team responsible for:

A candidate with a proven track record of delivery, they will provide high level and efficient management of Betknowmore UK support and community programmes, including all three primary services, GOALS, New Beginnings and Peer Aid, as well as bespoke projects which include the development of Hubs within key London Boroughs and creating digital activities.​

The postholder will work to ensure impactful service provision and outcomes; recruit, train and supervise a team of staff/mentors/volunteers to deliver support and community activities; and oversee service integration and collaboration with the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) partners and other key stakeholders.​

A key aspect of the role will be to work closely with people presenting with gambling-harm issues and/or people impacted by someone else's gambling. The Head of Support Services will oversee sustainable recovery interventions which may include structured psycho-social 1:1 ​and group activities, counselling and therapy, peer and mentoring support, with services ​co-produced by clinicians and health professionals, and insight and knowledge from experts ​by experience. ​

The candidate should demonstrate previous experience of management and oversight of similar programmes of work, within mental health, addiction or community NHS or voluntary sectors. ​

Experience of gambling support and treatment and/or harm minimisation programmes is desirable, but not essential.​

Working with other members of the Senior Management Team, they will input into the management of the charity, as well as supporting grant, contract and tender submissions, operational management, governance, performance and contract monitoring and outcome reporting. Development and Delivery ​

• Manage the strategic and operational performance of services to agreed standards and targets with the Director of Support Services and CEO.​

Line Management​

• Ensure staff are recruited, supervised and developed in accordance with Betknowmore UK systems and processes, in particular annual planning and review and objective setting.​

This is one of two new part-time roles at Carers Trust that are essential to giving our supporters a personal and highly professional level of donor care. This role focusses on great thanking and donor stewardship whilst supporting the “twin” role, Supporter Care Coordinator (Data), which focusses more on financial processes and data entry.

Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving and the other Supporter Care Coordinator (Data), you will ensure that the way we manage thanking and donor queries is superb and that our data is the essential foundation to our high-quality fundraising and help us to create long term relationships with supporters.
