London Seminary seeks an enthusiastic Administrator to play a crucial role in its administration function. 

An exciting opportunity awaits a proactive, personable, and reliable Administrator to join a friendly and engaging administration team. The Seminary seeks an individual with a fast-paced nature and outstanding attention to detail to offer comprehensive support, including student applications, facility administration, library assistance and general enquires. 

The Role 

You will be one of the first points of contact for the Seminary and responsible for providing multifunctional administrative and practical support to the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and staff. 

You will take a proactive approach to the role, supporting the smooth admission of students into the Seminary. You will also undertake a wide range of other duties including supporting the senior leadership team, ensuring the smooth running of the library, liaising with the site manager over accommodation and facilities and general administration as required. Below is an outline of duties. 

Student support 

• General enquiries 

• Telephone queries 

• Book interested parties into Visit and Open Days 

• Send out applications as requested.  Chase up near deadlines. 

• Deal with written correspondence, forwarding/scanning items as necessary 

• Student applications 

• Progress, request references, arrange interviews, offer places as directed 

• Provide admissions information, reading lists, handbooks, and answer queries 

• Administrative and welfare assistance 

Course Support 

• Produce and issue timetables as directed by teaching staff 

• Assign students and staff to Morning Worship slots 

• Book lecturers where requested 

• Set seminar, assignment, essay and visit/open dates 

• Allocate seminar presentation slots to students 

• Produce lecturer agreements 

Facilities 

• Book residential rooms for students, lecturers, and visitors 

• Student Flats: provide information about flats, licence agreements etc. 

• Report faults/maintenance issues 

• Provide accommodation reports 

• Arrange bookings for extra meetings and conferences 

• Ensure safe standards are maintained across the site, reporting issues and rectifying problems 

• Update Fire Risk Assessment

• Collate book requests and reading list items for approval

• Classify books, and maintain classification system 

• Oversee cataloguing, stock-checking, filing and maintenance of books 

• Maintain journal subscriptions 

• Process book donations, adding to the library, selling to students, or disposing of as appropriate 

• Order and sell set texts to students 

• Order book donations for students, and biblical texts in the original languages 

• Maintain library software, running maintenance and error reports 

• Provide student details to Evangelical Library 

Other items 

• Maintain licences, ensuring they are operated correctly and renewed promptly: 

• Data Commissioner updates

The role is full time, Monday through Friday, 37 ½ hours per week on site at London Seminary.

Started in 2022, Utilita Giving provides grants to voluntary sector organisations, who can alleviate and prevent suffering and hardship caused by fuel and food poverty.

We raise awareness about this issue and enlist the public’s support in fundraising campaigns. Supported by our Patrons David James (ex-England footballer) and Adam Scorer (Chief Executive of National Energy Action), there is huge potential for this small but mighty charity to become a household name.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Officer, who has a proven track record in fundraising and effectively engaging donors and stakeholders to support a charitable cause.

You will be successful in submitting Tenders, Grant Applications, Bids etc. and competently engaging with high-net-worth individuals and corporate donors. You will be highly organised, numerically proficient and be great at building effective relationships. 

You’ll be part of a small team, reporting into the Executive Director, however we work with a diverse stakeholder network of other charities and the general public, therefore you will have excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

We generally work remotely, but you will be required to come into the Chandlers Ford office once a month for meetings.We can be flexible if you wish to have a condensed working pattern over 4 days.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.

Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe, and we are currently setting up a fourth clinic in Gateshead and a fifth in Redbridge. Each clinic is a local CIO which runs in partnership with Growing Hope and the local church. We have worked with over 700 children, young people, parents, carers and siblings since we launched. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth functions. This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. This will involve line management of the Fundraising Manager and Executive Assistant in the team. The charity has a vision to champion accessibility UK wide and to set up twenty clinics in partnership with local churches by 2030, there’s a current pipeline in progress to achieve this. As the charity grows we want to ensure that we have strong financial strategy and growth plans which enable us to achieve our vision. As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office. We envisage the focus of the role to be split with a 40% focus on income generation, 20% on Clinic Growth and 20% on brand, marketing and PR, all aspects of the role will include leadership and management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow, but will include: 

Leadership and Management:

• Working as part of the Senior Leadership team to strategically support the running of the charity.
• Providing line management for the Fundraising Manager, Executive Assistant and other potential members of the team as the charity grows. 
• Leading and participating in prayer and worship with the team in line with Growing Hope’s Christian values.
• Ownership of income raising of £710,000 for the national charity with a view to growth each year. In addition to this an income of approximately £100,000 for each local clinic and ensuring that income targets are met across the national and local charities.

Fundraising Strategy & Finance: 

• Lead the development and execution of long-term financial plans in close alignment with the charity’s strategic goals from a Fundraising perspective.
• Reporting monthly to the Growing Hope senior team and trustee board on income, forecasts and plans to hit income targets. 
• Manging the fundraising, marketing and communications budget lines.
• Oversee the process of forecasting and planning income for analysis of the leadership team and Board of Trustees.
• Support fundraising strategy development and long term planning for growth.
• Explore and implement strategies for ensuring best use of charitable funds, and maintaining financial sustainability.
• Explore and implement innovative strategies to ensure that Growing Hope are raising funds as effectively as possible at both a national and a local level.

Marketing and Communication: 

• Overseeing and developing Marketing and Communication strategy across the charity, including PR development, socials and internal and external communications. 
• Oversight of projects and campaigns running across Growing Hope.
• Promoting the Growing Hope brand both internally and externally. 
• Developing strategies to support staff with understanding and working to the Growing Hope values.
• Oversight of marketing and advertising on behalf of the charity.

Person Specification

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Leicester. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Leicester, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based and is offered on a fixed term basis ending in December 2024 with the potential for extension into permanent contract. nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.
The Emma Project, Daria House and Jan’s Place are specialist services providing refuge and support services to women who have been subjected to domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse, including women who have been sexually exploited, including through prostitution and who also use substances problematically.

About the post

These posts are currently funded until 31st March 2026 with a possibility of further extension. You will work closely alongside the refuges Team Leader and Service Manager to implement and deliver a trauma informed approach to refuge services.

Citizens Advice Southwark has a track record of delivering high-quality services from its offices in Peckham and Walworth and outreach locations across Southwark and South East London. We sort out problems together, for good, by providing free, independent, confidential and impartial advice across all areas of social welfare law, and through using the experience of our clients to bring about positive change through research and campaigns. 

Citizens Advice Southwark has been awarded funding by City Bridge Foundation to provide a welfare benefits advice service for Southwark residents and we are now seeking to recruit a full time welfare benefits caseworker.

The caseworker will be based between our two main offices in Peckham and Walworth and will assist with raising awareness and completing benefit claims, advocating on behalf of clients and submitting reviews and appeals. The caseworker will also train a team of volunteers to increase capacity and expertise and will act in a consultancy role for generalist advisers and frontline workers in other agencies in the borough.

To be successful you will need:

• At least one year’s full time (or part time equivalent) paid or unpaid recent experience of advice work.
• An in-depth knowledge of welfare benefits including those related to disability and sickness.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Associate to provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews’ projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) region. The role will be part of the Internews’ headquarters E&E Project Management

Unit (PMU) and report to the London-based Senior Programme Officer. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and help ensure.

Effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL). The role will contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good quality information. The role may also be asked to represent Internews at partner and donor meetings. The role will also contribute to Internews’ knowledge management and improvement of Internews systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time and budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact.
• Assist PMU management with project oversight and progress towards programme deliverables.
• Support project start-up, implementation, and closeout.
• Support with hiring key project personnel.
• Serve as an HQ point of contact for programmatic inquiries for assigned projects within the organisation and externally.
• Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the E&E Business team on business aspects of project delivery, including budget management and financial tracking.
• Review and revise donor narrative reports and workplans and ensure their high quality.
• Review and provide feedback on relevant programmatic and monitoring aspects, including MERL reporting, external project evaluation, and other research and studies; 
• Support internal and external communication for projects, identifying newsworthy, impactful stories and preparing content or briefings which tell those stories; undertake external representation and policy engagement where necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience of project support and donor reporting for large projects with major institutional donors, including the European Commission and SIDA.
• University degree in a related field.
• Fluency in English with excellent English-language writing and proven text-editing skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills and relevant experience.
• Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to effectively manage a dynamic workload and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and the ability to negotiate.
