We are seeking two highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work with our Partnerships and Communications team. You will support the team to increase income, diversify funding streams, and implement engaging fundraising campaigns and events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and skills across a breadth of fundraising and communications activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on prospective donors, foundations, and corporate supporters and monitoring grant portals to build a pipeline of new funding opportunities
- Gathering and collating informative and engaging content for efficient proposal development
- Supporting in the development of funding proposals to donors, foundations, and corporate supporters
- Supporting with event design and management to engage new donors and steward existing partners
- Supporting with the implementation of a new donor journey process to improve team efficiency and build strong relationships with funders
- Supporting in the development and implementation of a new individual giving strategy to grow this new income stream for PEAS
- Contributing creative ideas for new fundraising opportunities
- Drafting, editing, and proofing content for e-newsletters, blogs, and social media
- Helping to gather and analyse social media metrics to assess the performance of campaigns
- Supporting the creation of visual content for various communications materials using Canva
Skills and Qualifications:
- Interest in non-profit fundraising and development
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite
- Design experience or knowledge of using Canva (not essential)

Lack of high-quality nature-related data is one of the biggest obstacles holding financial institutions back from addressing nature-related risks. Global Canopy innovates to increase the scope, quality and accessibility of freely available data. We work to enable investors, lenders, insurers, financial regulators and others in the sector to identify and mitigate their impacts and dependencies on nature – and to seize the opportunity of investing in nature-positive solutions. Our work on nature-related finance centres on three collaborative flagship projects, the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), ENCORE and The Little Book of Investing in Nature.
Global Canopy’s Finance Business Partners play a crucial role in supporting our programme teams to steward the organisation’s financial resources to achieve maximum impact, ultimately supporting a global shift to a deforestation free economy.
We are looking for an exceptional Finance Business Partner to provide a 10 month maternity cover to support our programme teams with sound financial management. We are looking for the successful candidate to ideally start working with us no later than 1st November 2024.

This role will focus on enhancing fundraising efforts for a major refurbishment of one of their largest children’s hospitals. - Develop and write persuasive grant proposals and funding applications for identified opportunities.

- Strong collaborative skills, able to work closely with the Appeal Project Team to gather necessary information and ensure the completion of high-quality applications.

The Development team at Pembroke College plays a pivotal role in advancing the College’s mission by securing critical financial resources and fostering a culture of philanthropy and donor stewardship, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the College.
We are looking for maternity cover for eight months for the role of Senior Alumni Relations Officer, responsible for building and strengthening relationships between Pembroke and its alumni and other supporters. This includes engagement activities such as events, supporting the Alumni Ambassador network, contributing to alumni communications and publications, and acting as a point of contact for the College’s alumni.
The main duties to be carried out by the post-holder include:
Alumni Relations
- Manage administration of the alumni volunteers through the Alumni Ambassador network and Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) alongside the Chair of the AAB, providing approved College updates and reports in a collaborative and effective manner.
- Ensure regular alumni communications and marketing for events and engagement opportunities are of the highest calibre and take advantage of the great breadth of content available through Fellow, staff, student, and alumni sources.
- Ensure accurate and thorough records are kept on alumni interactions and engagement with the College so that productivity and relationships can be tracked and enhanced.
- Act as a first point of contact for alumni, dealing with ad hoc queries via email, phone, and in person.
- Coordinate the ‘Pembroke10’ network for recent leavers.
- Educate current students about alumni benefits and develop opportunities for students to interact with alumni and supporters so that students become engaged alumni as well as future donors.
- Provide ad hoc tours of College for groups of visiting alumni.
- Ensure that Alumni Relations supports opportunities for the identification and cultivation of alumni prospects.
Events
- Organise events from initial ideas to final feedback, with a variety of goals and objectives including alumni engagement, stewardship and fundraising.
- Work with colleagues, alumni and Fellows to identify new events to appeal to underserved segments of the alumni, parent, student, and other communities.
- Attend events and ensure they are run smoothly and professionally.
- Coordinate High Table dinner bookings for alumni.
Internal collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Development Director, which may include travel and event attendance outside standard working hours, for which time off in lieu will be given.

We are recruiting for a Temporary special events officer for a high profile health charity . Working with the Special Events Manager the Special Events Officer will support in the creation and management of a special events programme aimed at engaging major donors, corporates, and trusts.
Office-based in London with some flexibility to work remotely. During event days out of hours work will be required.
The Role
Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our high-quality events programme.
Working alongside staff, committees and senior volunteers to raise income from special events.
Support the special events manager in correctly tracking and recording income and expenditure for events and ensuring they are delivered within agreed budgets.
Monitoring and reporting on events.
Cross divisional collaboration and event delivery.
Leading on business-as-usual events and supporting on larger fundraising events.
Working with event suppliers, helping to source and secure high-end venues within budget, as well as working with production companies and catering, ensuring we work with the best and most cost-effective suppliers.
Support fundraisers to deliver income from high-net-worth audiences
The Candidate
Experience of organising high quality special events, targeting high net worth individuals
Experience of working with volunteer committees and engaging high net worth individuals in delivering events
Experience tracking expenditure against budgets
Experience of working within and closely with colleagues to support their donor engagement.
Experience in managing external suppliers
