About You
To be our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will likely have:

An LLB, with preference for a qualified lawyer or an advanced law degree

At least five years’ experience working in the legal field, with prior experience in media law or related human rights matters, either in a law firm, media house or non-profit organisation

Strong understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape. Understanding of the legal needs of journalists and media outlets in the global south or Central/Eastern Europe/FSU an advantage

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable service delivery manager who is passionate about supporting parents and infant feeding to lead this project. This role is community-based and will include travel across the Hackney region with some homeworking (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the parent support project in its entirety across the region. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Leading on perinatal peer support across the region.
· Managing the project staff team.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all services are accessible and inclusive.
· Engaging with communities through networking with other local organisations.
· Report progress on project status, timelines and delivery against key performance indicators.
· Participate in local perinatal networking/task and finish projects, so that the programme is an integral part of the local perinatal and infant feeding provision landscape and is able to advocate for and chaperone perinatal service users at a strategic level, raising the profile of NCT’s perinatal offer locally and nationally.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our commissioners, staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word, and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires lived experience of breastfeeding. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is between 28 - 35 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a community-based role travelling across Hackney borough, with some home working.

We are seeking a Sex Worker Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (SWISVA) to provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to people involved in sex work, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. Working within a specialist sexual violence approach, you will be enabling people to access support and navigate services, including those directly related to sexual violence. You will support them to navigate criminal justice processes if they wish to do so. You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs. You will play a key role in advocating for improved responses to sexual violence, including pathways through the criminal justice processes.
The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, Basis Yorkshire and POW (Nottingham) to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, develop and share learning, and to influence change in provisions for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, and who will lead on influencing of policy and sharing of learning to improve outcomes for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence

- Following briefs set out by the Programme Communications Manager, Research, compose social media posts and other copy to promote the Academy's research programmes.
- Using Canva and existing templates, develop graphics for use in social media campaigns.
- Use Sprout Social to schedule social media content for the Academy's social media programmes
- 4Review social media analytics and report on live and historical campaigns to review what drives engagement
- Use DotDigital to compile funding opportunity newsletters using branded templates
- Support the research team in bringing awardee and programme pages on the Academy's website up-to-date.
- Compile written toolkits for stakeholders to promote the Academy's research programmes
- Help organise a library of digital assets, timelines and plans to support the launch of future rounds of research programmes.
- Provide administrative support to the Programme Communications Manager, Research, and the wider Programme Communications team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below
- Experience of managing social media channels using Sprout Social
- Experience of producing e-newsletters and managing mailouts using DotDigital
- Experience of developing promotional graphics using Canva

The Role

As a Training and Engagement Coordinator to the Scotland Team, you will provide effective and efficient co-ordination of resources and support, primarily related to our accredited courses, Idaa and DACA, as well as our open course and bespoke training, when capability allows. You will work alongside the Training Lead and Senior Training and Engagement Coordinator and occasionally help support with our Safer, Sooner and Authentic Voice operational work.
This role is integral to our providing quality training across Scotland, influencing and enhancing the approach of professionals who come into contact with domestic abuse.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days)
Contract: April 2026 with the possibility of extension
Location: UK based, remote (with occasional fully imbursed travel in Scotland and wider UK and, where candidate is England-based, expected occasional working from Bristol office)

- Work closely with the CEO and to develop and implement a robust financial strategy

A Health Trainer, specialising in Substance Misuse is required to work on a rolling contract for one of the UKs leading Drug and Alcohol Charities.
This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and engage with individuals from agreed target groups providing information to individuals about the relationship between behaviours and health, and promoting improvement in their health and wellbeing.
· Support and motivate individuals, to identify their health needs and assess the barriers that prevent them from making healthy choices, assisting individuals to learn in learning how to make better health choices and support them in initiating and sustaining appropriate behavioural changes.
· Deliver outstanding client care, demonstrating empathy, understanding, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a quality service.
· Keep abreast of the holistic range of services available in the community by developing links with service providers and keeping up-to-date with service changes and developments, in order to appropriately signpost individuals to the service then need when they need them
· Get involved with running events at the service for the different initiatives they provide, this can include speaking to clients at these events, as well as being involved in promoting them through creating posters, leaflets etc.
