Job Purpose:

To lead, co-ordinate, manage and expand our Community Wellbeing Team services for children and families and to ensure the smooth running of these services. To jointly oversee the delivery of services from the Phoenix Youth Centre by YMCA East Surrey and by other partner organisations.

35 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm, excluding an hours unpaid break each day, Occasional evening work required (with a corresponding later start time or possibility to claim time off in lieu).

Annual Leave

Main Responsibilities:

Service Management & Development • To develop, oversee and expand existing service provision to meet the requirements of the EWMH services contract with Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. Services will be designed around the iThrive framework to deliver information, advice and early intervention for children, young people and families. They will build on existing YMCA East Surrey services

. • To work with the EWMH Manager to develop and implement a business plan across community services. • To manage a team of practitioners and an office administrator, including carrying out regular one-to-ones, annual appraisals, setting objectives and development and training.

• To be the first point of operational contact for the Community Wellbeing Team, including supporting practitioners with risk management and reporting.

• To work collaboratively and effectively with partners across the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership and Mindworks Alliance to keep up to date on and respond to local and emerging needs, to take referrals or refer on/signpost and to share good practice.

• To promote and publicise the Community Wellbeing Team and EWMH services among relevant agencies, referrers, service users and potential service users.

• To manage administration linked to the recruitment and induction of new staff. Service Delivery/Administration (Community Wellbeing Team Manager 03.06.24)

• To manage referrals into the Community Wellbeing Team and ensure that appropriate data is recorded accurately and kept up to date.

• To liaise with families and other professionals about referrals and service provision.

• To jointly oversee the Phoenix Youth Centre so that it is staffed and appropriately maintained to support delivery of both YMCA East Surrey services and services delivered by other organisations.

• To report to and liaise with the EWMH Manager regarding the delivery of the service. • To ensure that client complaints are investigated and dealt with appropriately

. • To work with the EWMH Manager to identify and manage safeguarding and other risks and to liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead in line with YMCA East Surrey protocols and team operational process.

• To contribute to the development and delivery of training and parent/carer workshops as and when required. Service Monitoring & Evaluation

• To set up and maintain appropriate record keeping systems in line with data protection requirements. • To ensure service outcomes and outputs are effectively monitored and evaluated and prepare service statistics in conjunction with EWMH Manager and Mindworks Delivery Manager.

• To produce reports on activity, impact and outcomes plus provide input to the wider YMCA East Surrey Annual Impact Report.

• To produce client case studies for internal and external communication purposes.

Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice are looking for a press officer to oversee our press and communications as we fight to ensure the mistakes from the pandemic are never repeated again.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.

Eccles, Salford

The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.

Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.

The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. Key Responsibilities

• To deliver your fundraising target through the oversight and significant growth of your caseload of supporters. Using research, networking and your existing contacts to onboard new partners and create a 3 year pipeline of prospects enabling our income and support to underpin the organisation’s vision and mission.
• Deliver exceptional proposals, reports, engagement opportunities and updates in a timely manner using your knowledge and experience to champion our donor needs, develop effective comms to your accounts and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the impact data, engagement opportunities, policies and stories are presented to win and renew funding, measured against financial targets, renewal % and average gift levels.
• Develop the customer experience for your caseload to world class standard. Review and enhance existing processes, engagement tools and materials to ensure they are contributing towards strong and sustained relationships with supporters. Ensure gifts and donor relationship information is accurately recorded, processed, thanked and reported on in a timely and confidential fashion using Raisers Edge and developing a strong relationship with the Giving Team and other internal stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively and accurately with other entity Fundraising Teams. Support and collaborate with wider fundraising opportunities and to attend all relevant fundraising team meetings to have a rounded understanding of what we are trying to achieve in our fundraising across the group.
• Responsible for keeping updated on relevant fundraising and volunteering best practice, regulations and opportunities. Ensuring you undertake the training offered to you, proactively seek out learning opportunities within the third sector and Christian or Corporate philanthropy networks.
• Other ad hoc projects as they arise. Including but not limited to working with our network to facilitate partnership opportunities with Churches and LYN Hubs, being willing to support with advice for developing their local fundraising. Attending and supporting donor events, ongoing research and improving team and wider working practices.  

The Right Candidate

• A 3 year track record of demonstrable growth in income against targets.
• Experience of identifying and developing funding partnerships using research, networking and delivering timely proposals for funding and engagement with a high conversion rate.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal targets and demonstrate ability to contribute to wider team KPIs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create effective communication for both Christian and secular audiences.
• A good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM Databases.

About the Role

This role will lead on the day-to-day operation of the accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable and cash management functions.  You will be required to work closely with the financial controller and other members of the Finance Team to ensure that processing in these areas is complete, accurate and compliant, and supports the timely preparation of management accounts. You will also work with colleagues from across the organisation and key external stakeholders to ensure that income is received, cash is held and monitored following the Charity’s internal financial controls, and all legal and regulatory requirements are complied with.

• Lead the day to day operations of the sales ledger function
• Responsible for ensuring invoices are raised on time and in line with agreements with funders
• Responsible for the collection and recording of all non-rental income, in accordance with the charity’s income and internal controls policies
• Main point of contact for queries regarding non-rental income sales invoices
• Monitor all cash transactions and ensure they are recorded on the Finance system on a timely basis
• To lead on the day to day operations of the purchase ledger function
• To manage the preparation of the weekly payment run, ensuring that all due items are included
• Review nominal ledger activity and post journals for on a timely basis to ensure ledger information is accurate and complete in line with month end timetable
• Responsible for the accurate preparation of month end reconciliations for allocated balance sheet codes including Fixed Assets, bank accounts, debtors, accrued and deferred income

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Part-qualified accountant or extensive and demonstrable experience in a variety of financial roles

· Experience in the preparation of accounts to trial balance stage

· Credit control experience

· Excellent IT skills, and an ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation.

· Ability to use initiative, make sound decisions and prioritise effectively to ensure that outcomes are met

· A sound knowledge of and commitment to the implementation of financial controls to protect organisational resources

The Role:

As the Trusts & Foundations Officer, you will take ownership of an exciting and diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations, and other grant-giving organisations. Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising, you will work to grow both restricted and unrestricted funding to help meet the Royal Hospital’s long-term income targets. This role requires strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and nurture lasting relationships with funders.

Key Responsibilities

As the Trusts & Foundations Officer you will assist in identifying new funding opportunities to expand the existing funder base, work closely with all departments to develop tailored proposals and implement the organisation's fundraising strategy. You will maintain a rolling programme of bespoke grant applications while building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders. The role includes supporting the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising with donor communications, trust and statutory fundraising applications, submitting timely reports, and maintaining accurate records.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant fundraising role, and a good understanding of the voluntary sector funding environment. They should be skilled in researching and developing new funding pipelines, managing multiple contacts, and have excellent writing, proof-reading, and organisational abilities. Financial literacy and budget management are essential, alongside IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems like ThankQ. Candidates should have experience raising funds from trusts and foundations, managing donor relationships, and working to targets and deadlines.
