After nearly 18 years, our current Chief Executive has decided to retire. We are therefore seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead WRCC into an exciting future!

You will have a proven record of achievement in a senior leadership role in the charity or related sector. You will have experience in developing strategic plans. You will be able to show a commitment to building communities, relieving poverty, challenging disadvantage and maximising social benefit. We are offering a salary of circa £55k, a 5% contribution to our auto-enrolment pension and 24 days annual leave.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of WRCC is responsible for leading the organisation in achieving its mission and strategic goals. The CEO will provide visionary and operational leadership to ensure the charity's growth, sustainability, and impact. This role involves working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, donors, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute the organisation's strategic plan in alignment with its mission and vision.

 Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of programs and services.

 Financial Stewardship:

 Fundraising and Development:

• Lead fundraising initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors.

• Explore innovative funding opportunities and partnerships to diversify income.

 Stakeholder Engagement:

• Represent the charity to external stakeholders, including government agencies, media, and community organisations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and supporters.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the charity, effectively communicating its mission and impact.

 Governance and Compliance:

• Work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Board on the charity's performance and strategic direction.
• Ensure the organisation adheres to its ethical standards and values.

Program Development and Delivery:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
• Ensure programs align with the charity's mission and effectively meet the needs of beneficiaries.
• Promote best practices and evidence-based approaches in program delivery.

 Communications and Public Relations:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise the charity's profile and engagement.
• Oversee the creation of marketing materials, annual reports, and digital content.
• Manage crisis communications and protect the charity's reputation.

About the Role

We have an opportunity for a talented Relationship Manager to join our Grants Team as part of the Social Investment Business organisation.  Reporting to one of our Senior Relationship Managers this role plays an important part in supporting our Investment Team in Grant funding which supports the delivery of SIB’s strategy and focus.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of social investment or grant making and has worked with charities and social enterprises. This is a great opportunity for someone to be involved in making a difference to people.  We need someone who is passionate, proactive, can work well autonomously and as part of a team and is flexible, adaptable and can manage competing priorities.

Key responsibilities

1. To be team delivery lead for one or more of the following areas – pre-investment and investment readiness, enterprise development, energy efficiency support, learning and insights, customer feedback or any such area that becomes a priority for the team.

2. Management and assessment of a caseload of grant proposals / applications against criteria, throughout the process from expression of interest to offer / decline.

3. Analysis of business plans and financial information including management and annual accounts and financial projections and review organisations’ current and potential social impact.

4. Identification of risks attached and any mitigating factors and reach sound and considered judgements about the viability and suitability of proposals/ applications.

5. Approach key stakeholders, e.g. co-investors/funders, local authorities, Commissioners, [potential] Delivery Partners, to establish an independent view of the applicant and their plans.

6. Make clear and constructive recommendations, in written reports for decision-making by Committees / panels and through presentations at meetings.

7. Establish and maintain relationships with support providers on investment readiness and other funds, ensuring that they are provided with accurate and consistent information and guidance.

8. Prepare all Grant offer, documentation and ensure this accurately reflects the agreed offer and ensure all payments due under agreed investments are reviewed, progressed and authorised in line with procedures.

9. Provide constructive feedback and signposting to applicants (successful and unsuccessful).

10. Act as the primary point of contact for all communications with your caseload of recipients.

11. Help develop solutions and ensure ‘business requirements’ are correctly defined and support implementation of new projects and initiatives.

12. Represent SIB at external events, ensuring all communications are professional and in line with SIB’s values.

13. Manage customer complaints in a professional and responsive manner.

14. To adopt our continuous improvement and learning ethos.

15. To support and embed equality, diversity and inclusion into day-to-day behaviours and activities within your role as well as contributing more widely across SIB’s commitment to E, D & I.

About the role:

This role will support the Photography Team during a busy period to ensure outstanding photography outputs across the organisation.

In this role, you will act as a photography champion in promoting great content and best practice across WaterAid.

• Lead on the management and administration of some cross-organisational photo based projects.
• Carry out image selections for brand assets, digital and social media channels and media pitches both proactively and as required by those teams. Carry out picture research requests and/or support colleagues in their research as required.
• Support the Photo Librarian in preparing and uploading new photographic content to Asset Bank along with associated stories, captions, usage rights and consents.
• Work with other members of the Photo team to brief and commission photographers as required. 
• Support the development of 6 Community Voices Officers in their photography skills – both in shooting and editing their work.

About You:

• A proven eye for outstanding photography, and the ability to match the strongest imagery with brand and messaging requirements. 
• To be passionate about photography, with a depth of both technical and theoretical knowledge and an awareness of current trends in photography and image making.
• Sound experience of working with a range of stakeholders and developing relationships internally and externally.
• A proactive nature with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Strong copy-editing skills and understanding of what makes a good story. Excellent written English, with meticulous attention to grammar and spelling in writing up and editing captions and case-studies.

The overall purpose of the role is to lead the development and implementation of the charity’s revenue strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise existing revenue streams, identify new business opportunities, and drive the organisation's overall growth and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing short, medium, and long term income targets and business plans in line with the charity’s strategy and growth ambitions.

• Providing oversight of the charity’s current and future income streams, their relative value, impact and sustainability

• Development and execution of revenue generation tactics including sponsorship, business and charity of the year partnerships, commercial sales & licensing, government contracts, lottery funding, trusts & foundations, and individual giving

• Business development within the charity and through its trading subsidiary harnessing existing properties and developing new assets.

• Maximising the charity’s intellectual property and pursue a pipeline of new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.

• Working across the senior leadership team to develop new properties and partnerships which generate revenue for the charity while contributing to the mission, and aligning with charitable objectives.

The successful candidate will have a track record in establishing and growing revenue streams and organisational income, with proven experience in diverse leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth. Experience in a senior leadership role driving revenue growth is key, for example from activity, commercial activity, corporate partnerships, commissioned services and fundraising and demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and customer/member retention is a must.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Ongoing development and implementation of ARUK’s web content strategy, including microsites and apps, where appropriate.

· Working with teams across ARUK to ensure content is up to date and meets Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) / Accessibility standards.

· Play a leading role in the creation of campaign landing pages, working closely with the Digital Campaigns Manager to ensure that landing pages are effective, with clear calls to action.

What we are looking for:

· Copy writing skills, with a flair for writing copy that is suitable for digital consumption.
