About the role
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with data, and providing business intelligence that leads to action. If you love creating simple ways to explain complex data, and are excited by revealing the stories hidden within the data, then this could be the role for you.
Your main focus will be to provide reporting and research for our fundraising and marketing initiatives, helping to create a clear view of our marketing directorate performance. You will work closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that reporting is used and a data-driven culture established. The outputs from your work will lead to insight that supports strategy development, and future investment decisions. Some projects will focus on other areas of organisational data, such as measuring our impact, or our financial model, as required.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience in analysing data and producing reporting, ideally using some advanced techniques for data extraction and manipulation (such as SQL) and a modern data visualisation tool (such as Power BI or Tableau). Full training will be provided, to enable the postholder to develop into a fully rounded data analyst, including training in the maintenance and development of our in-house data warehouse.
About you
We are looking for a pro-active self starter, who has a passion for working with data and a hunger to learn. You will be patient and methodical in your work, and be able to focus both on the technical aspects of data analysis and reporting, and also understand the strategic thinking that your work will contribute to.
You’ll be great at building relationships with stakeholders, and be comfortable in communicating complex information through a variety of means.
Your work will help to ensure that we maximise efficiency in our fundraising programmes, and as such you’ll be comfortable challenging the status quo, and making suggestions for how we might change, as we look to continuously improve.
Key Working Relationships
The successful candidate will work closely with all colleagues from within the Marketing Directorate, IT, Finance, Fundraising, and potentially all areas of Practical Action here there may be reporting needs.
External relationships with consultants/agencies, and third party software suppliers.
Accountabilities:
- To contribute towards the development and production of a large and complex portfolio of reports, produced by the Data and Insight Team.
- To work closely with colleagues to embed reporting into day-to-day work, encouraging a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision making.
- To work with the Senior Data Services Analyst, Data and Insight Manager and IT, to develop our data structures and architecture, enabling a robust data model and real-time reporting.
- Develop our use of Power BI, our data visualisation tool of choice, keeping up to date with latest reporting technologies and proposing changes and enhancements to such software where appropriate.
- To work with colleagues across the marketing directorate and wider Organisation to understand business intelligence requirements, scope out projects and deliver reporting to agreed specifications, presenting complex information through a variety of means.
- To work with marketing audience strategists and the Data and Insight Manager in the commissioning and production of research, and contribute to statistical modelling projects.
- To propose and pro-actively undertaking supporter analysis with the aim of promoting efficiencies and value for money within fundraising campaigns.
- Play a key role in strategic projects, as required, acting as a subject matter expert for data, covering a range of topics, such as supporter journey mapping, process documentation / re-design, software implementation to name just a few.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. What's this role about?

About the role
As Financial Planning Analyst, you will support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to provide key insight to senior management and trustees. This role requires an individual with financial modelling and analytical skills to provide insight that will be critical for driving good decision-making.
Roles and responsibilities
- Input into key financial planning processes, contributing to the development of templates and tools and consolidation.
- Lead on financial modelling or large data analysis, as dictated by the need for financial insight.

The Individual Giving & Acquisitions Lead is a new role in their Marketing & Communications team. The postholder will play a key role in developing and delivering the Individual Giving Programme to drive income growth, engage new audiences and retain existing supporters. This role would suit a candidate looking to harness their skill set in direct marketing and use their ability to create new fundraising products to set up an Individual Giving Programme from scratch, with support from the Head of Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on creating and implementing a strategy to support the development of a new Individual Giving and Acquisition Programme in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Communications.
- Plan, develop and implement a range of direct marketing campaigns to support the acquisition of new donors and the retention of existing supporters, ensuring that all campaigns are managed effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
- Deliver personalised and tailored content to increase engagement with existing and new supporters.
- Enhance supporter journeys by using data insights to develop segmentation and improve targeting for IG activities.
- To effectively manage the end-to-end creative process from inception to execution of direct marketing campaigns.
- Working with the database manager, report on post-campaign data analysis to evaluate effectiveness and understand ROI.
- Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications to deliver an excellent supporter experience across all communications and fundraising activity, working with colleagues to ensure consistency with other fundraising programmes.
- Brief, monitor and manage internal stakeholders’ relationships for Individual Giving campaigns and projects, maximising opportunities to cross sell across all audiences.
Person Specification:
- Proven track record of DM campaign management experience.
- Proficient experience of working with data selections, segmentation and campaign analysis.
- Significant experience in managing the end-to-end creative process and proven success in donor acquisition and retentions.
- Experience in designing and delivering supporter journeys for a variety of audiences.
- Experience of delivering excellent results within agreed budgets and on schedule.

Purpose of post:
The Major Gifts Officer will support the Head of Major Gifts in further developing the charity’s major donor portfolio, stewarding donors, and soliciting gifts. They will be responsible for understanding the motivations and interests of our donors and helping them to feel fantastic about the impact of their generosity. At its heart, this role is about connecting our donors with hospitals and fostering a deeper relationship and partnership with our charity.
Joining a small but established team, you will bring your drive and innovation to find new opportunities for donors to make an impact for patients and staff across our hospitals. A skilled communicator with exceptional writing skills, your can-do attitude and creative flair will thrive in translating complex medical projects into compelling stories and propositions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, research and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors. Ensure our supporters receive regular relevant and compelling proposals which will inspire ongoing support and grow income
- Develop an excellent understanding of our donor pipeline. Identifying where individuals have shared interest areas and seek opportunities to maximise the reach of all our communications
- Where appropriate, identify and manage relationships with individual supporters to generate major donor and mid-level income and maximise fundraising opportunities. This may include face to face meetings, email communications and phone calls. This will also include supporting stewardship events within our hospitals.
- Work closely with the Charity Individual Giving Manager utilising the latest technology and techniques to ensure every supporter has a consistent and meaningful journey with our charity, as they progress from individual giving to mid-level giving and beyond
- Hold a close working relationship with the Charity Programme team and relevant hospital staff to identify projects early and plan solicitation and impact reporting throughout the year
- Support the stewardship of potential legacy donors where major donor-type treatment is appropriate
- Maintain meticulous records of all major gifts activity on the CRM system and working with the Charity Database & Insight Officer to extract data in a way which helps guide the major donor programme
- Comply with all relevant fundraising regulation including the Code of Fundraising Practice and GDPR
- Constantly scan the environment and liaise with peers in the sector to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our donors and are aware of the best possible ways to engage them
Key skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication. You will be able to craft inspiring and compelling reports and asks, tailored to our donors interests
- Keen to embrace new technologies including the use of AI and an understanding of how data can inform strategic priorities
- Able to work as part of a collaborative team
- An empathetic and approachable nature, able to form relationships with a range of stakeholders

We are looking for a Recovery Support Worker to join our passionate, and dedicated team in Hounslow. In this role you will support some of the most vulnerable individuals in the borough, helping them identify their individual strengths and aspirations.
The Hounslow LIFE service is a large multi-site service with a large team of colleagues with specialisms in Homelessness, Substance Use and Mental Health to provide a recovery based approach to 86 clients across our different sites.
In the role of Recovery Support Worker, you will:

Work with clients on their road to recovery, aiding clients to gain the necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation.

Provide support to maintain independence in the community, build their skills for employment, manage their health needs, and look towards a brighter future.

Oversee housing management responsibilities to ensure we deliver safe, high-quality services.
In this role you will work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays. Staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
