This is a new and exciting opportunity for a seasoned climate campaigner to deploy their skills in new ways, developing change strategies that will shift the climate ambition and the investment decisions of key steel companies. The steel industry is a major driver of climate emissions and yet few in the industry feel urgency and few outside the industry know that. Your job will be to help us change that.
European-headquartered steelmakers account for a small share of production but have an important role to play in shaping a pathway for transforming the industry and setting the pace. There are companies that are innovating, while others that should be leading the way but are stuck in coal-based production. We are seeking a dynamic corporate campaigner based in Europe/Africa timezone who is able to use their creativity to design and implement campaigns to drive change in steel companies.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
SteelWatch is an international climate campaign organisation established in June 2023, driving corporate accountability and action in the steel sector. Our vision is a steel industry that underpins a thriving zero emissions economy. Our priority is that the steel industry gets on track for a 1.5 degree trajectory this side of 2030.
We run corporate campaigns and challenge the global industry to replace complacency with urgent action. We currently focus on OECD countries, and specifically in Europe and Japan at present, with team members in UK/Europe and Asia Pacific timezones. As a young organisation, we are evolving, testing, and learning, and seek team members who will enjoy breaking new ground with us.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Campaigner who will lead, develop and implement creative campaigns and strategies to drive change in steel companies. This will require using multiple pressure points across the steel value chain; shifting narratives, engaging with national campaigns, exposing inadequacy of climate plans, harnessing investor pressure, driving demands for green steel and much more. The Corporate Campaigner will work closely with our CSO allies, notably from European Fossil Free Steel Network (EFFSN) and Fair Steel Coalition, to contribute to the impacts of the wider ecosystem and to sharply define the role of SteelWatch and its campaigns. This is likely to involve collaborations beyond Europe, in North America, Africa, Asia or Latin America. As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Europe.
For the steel industry to move toward decarbonisation, technological advancement is not the only solution. We need to fundamentally drive systemic changes to the long-held methods of steel production, the iron and steel value chain and the industrial structure, and going further, the relationship between the steel industry and the future of the decarbonised society. We are looking for someone who is able to use their creativity to engage not only in negotiations to achieve GHG emissions reductions, but also in critical thinking to provoke dialogues about what our climate needs from the industry’s corporate actors and other stakeholders today, to ensure a better future for people and the planet.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop campaign strategies and plans in collaboration with your analytical and communication colleagues and with partner organisations, where relevant;
-
Track and monitor company and investment calendar, announcements and news to identify opportunities for driving change;
-
Plan and deliver campaign outputs; public communications, on-ground activities, media appearance, corporate engagement and other tactics, responding to emerging campaign opportunities;
-
Engage with relevant stakeholders, corporate actors, financial institutions, government officials, industry experts, in pursuit of the campaign strategy;
-
Participate actively in coalition conversations and activities;
-
Undertake necessary research and report writing for the campaigns, working closely with the Steelwatch Steel Analyst;
-
Give inputs to and deliver communication outputs and collaborate with the communication colleagues to respond timely to emerging news;
-
Contribute to measuring the impacts of the campaign and produce reports, including funder reports, where required;
-
Other responsibilities assigned by the Campaigns Director.

We will also consider, for entry at a more junior level, applicants with less experience but who have the campaigning mentality and strong delivery skills, with potential to grow in the role. Candidates with more substantial experience could be considered for a more senior role. For candidates of any level of experience, an appetite to learn and grow in the role is expected, as this is pioneering work.
Essential skills and experiences
-
At least 6 years experience in designing and implementing campaigns;
-
Experience with change strategies that target corporate actors to change their behaviours and business models, and with driving climate action;
-
Ability to understand and articulate systemic problems and solutions; experience and/or appetite for change making;

About the Organisation:
The Just Finance Foundation (JFF) seeks to create a financially resilient nation where every individual has equal opportunity to thrive. JFF works with schools, communities, the banking sector, policy makers and regulators, to equip the people who families trust with the confidence, knowledge, and inspiration to educate the next generation and build financially capable communities. The Education team’s focus is currently developing and promoting financial literacy tools for primary schools to help children and their families learn about money.
The Role:
We are looking to support our small but ambitious organisation with a part-time Impact and Insights Manager. This new role will implement positive systems to allow feedback and learnings to be shared and incorporated into ongoing programme development.
As the Impact and Insights Manager, you will work with the Head of Financial Education to refine and improve the overall approach to JFF’s impact management processes and outcomes framework. This will begin with developing a specific M&E and content gathering approach to our current work in schools. Using our recently developed Theory of Change framework, you will build and oversee our strategic path to effectively gathering impact data and insights. From there, you will work to broaden this approach to support the goals of the organisation by designing, planning for and implementing the means by which long term outcomes are measured.
The Person:
What we’re looking for:
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in an environment that rewards self-direction while working to achieve set targets and outcomes.
- A detail-oriented planner who is keen to work out the “how” and not just the “what” of how impact data will be gathered, and insights will be analysed.
- An experienced data enthusiast who values the process of effective gathering, analysing, and storing of data and regularly seeks ways to improve data approaches.
- A creative innovator keen to use our Theory of Change to design an M&E approach and methodologies along with any supporting resources required.
- A strategic leader who is excited to initiate an impact driven approach across the staff team, with the full support of the leadership team.
What We Can Offer You:
The Financial Education team is at the forefront of Financial Education in the UK. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced and innovative professional to make a significant contribution to the future wellbeing of our children and communities. This role will allow you to clearly demonstrate and evidence your ability to create, drive, and deliver on strategy within an M&E context. You will be empowered in your work by a leadership team that is keen to move towards a more data driven environment and a delivery team that are supportive, friendly, and determined to make a difference.
To Apply: Please see the full Job and Person Descriptions attached. Send your CV and a cover letter of no more than 1.5 pages no later than 9am Monday 21st October. If you have any questions or wish to discuss the role further, please do not hesitate to contact us by email to arrange an informal chat with the Head of Financial Education.
Potential Applicants: If you’re interested in applying and excited about working with us but are unsure if you have the right skills and experience, we’d still love to hear from you. We don’t expect everyone to meet all the criteria listed.
Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.
The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal! In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.
The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.
Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.
Key Focus areas
- Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.
- A track record in securing income from individual donors, Major Donors and Philanthropists including knowledge of legacy fundraising.
- Develop engaging supporter journeys and Legacy pipelines.
- Provide an exceptional experience to our supporters.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles but most importantly doing the right thing at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Salary £35k-£40k per year pro-rata, 26 days annual leave (not including bank holidays).
Flexible hours and working from home. Full-time or part-time considered, 3-5 days per week - please specify your preference in your covering letter when applying.
Interviews to take place 7th and 8th November.
Previous applicants need not apply.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
We are Britain’s first rewilding charity on a mission to see 30% of our land and seas rewilding by 2030. Rewilding has recently moved from being a niche idea to playing a significant role in the fight against some of the biggest global challenges we face. Rewilding Britain has been at the forefront of this change since its formation in 2015, acting as a catalyst for debate and action, and demonstrating the power of working with nature to build a green economy where people and nature thrive.
We influence policy, inspire public action and catalyse joined-up practical and financial support to help establish rewilding across Britain’s land and seas. Through our rapidly growing Rewilding Network we’re bringing together a community of rewilders - from land managers and farmers, to charities, community groups and national parks - to inspire and support each other to create a wilder, more prosperous Britain. It’s not too late - but we must act now.
We have a Vision and Strategy to 2030 and are in the process of evaluating the impact of our current strategic plan and defining our strategic objectives for 2025-2030. Role purpose:
Lead the development of an initial impact and evaluation framework that will help us to track our progress, demonstrate achievements and ensure accountability.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Consult and work closely with staff and relevant external stakeholders to review current impact performance tracking across all organisation objectives and identify gaps in or improvements required.
-

-
Lead on the collation, analysis and communication of monitoring and evaluation data across the organisation and highlight any key trends.
-
Design a dashboard and reporting mechanisms for presenting the data in a way that is easy to use and understand.
-
Contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes, data and our technology to enable the charity to collect and analyse impact and monitoring data on an ongoing basis.
-
Champion good data practise for all internal databases to ensure data quality and centralisation of data.
-
Support the Fundraising Team in their work to identify, cultivate and inform existing and prospective donors and funding partners with relevant evidence and insights
-
Support and collaborate with the wider team on evaluation and monitoring to instil a culture of learning and evaluation across functions
-
Extract, interpret, summarise and communicate key stakeholder needs from evaluation and data outputs
-
Work closely with our Data Monitoring Project team to incorporate data from our emerging Rewilding Monitoring Framework into our impact and evaluation framework.
-
Produce evaluation reports and the data, stories and case studies for a high quality 10 year Impact Report using this framework.
Skills, experience and behaviours
-
Experience of designing, executing and embedding measurement frameworks.
-
Experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
-
Experience of using insight from data and research to add value.
-
Strong reporting skills using different outputs and mechanisms for different audiences.
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret complex information for a range of non-specialist audiences
-
Excellent interpersonal skills with a dynamic, collaborative and creative approach to problem solving
-
Highly proactive, comfortable with autonomy and driven to make a difference.
-
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well CRM and internal communication tools.
-
Appetite to be part of a fast-growing organisation that is rapidly expanding its systems and processes

The impact of cancer on young lives is more than medical. That’s why we exist. Our specialist social workers help children and young people with cancer and their families navigate the emotional and practical impact of cancer. We remove barriers, solve problems and prioritise wellbeing. And we stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.
We challenge the systems and policies that surround children and young people, we highlight gaps and campaign for change. Because we know what a better future could look like. And we know what we need to do to make that future a reality. We need to push harder, reach further and work smarter. And we need the right people on our team to help us get there. People like you.
About the role
This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.
Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.
We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers.
You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application a basic criminal record check will be completed.

- Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements.
- Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
- Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
- All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.
What do I need?

- Experience of delivering transformational change by using process improvement principles & methodologies such as TQM, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma to design services and processes that deliver value, efficiency, higher quality, lower costs and better results
- Ability to do big picture thinking and drive the change that is needed, don’t sit back and react to the change that is happening.
- Challenging directly with assertive communication style balanced with caring deeply through consultative and listening skills.
- Being curious, looking beyond the obvious to get the real picture.
- Being proactive to get stuff done but in a flexible way, not being tied to a solution and having a healthy dose of pragmatism
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
- Creative thinker and ability to encourage innovation amongst colleagues
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and make smart decisions with limited information and changing priorities as well as support people to define issues.
What will I gain?
