About the role:

We are looking for a Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer to join our fantastic Philanthropy and Partnerships team on a permanent basis.

This role is all about great relationship management and organisational skills to ensure that supporters of Pancreatic Cancer UK feel valued and inspired. The post-holder will have the opportunity to gain experience across all four philanthropy and partnerships income streams; corporate partnerships, philanthropy, trusts and foundations and special events. 

We’re an ambitious team that works closely together to maximise our collective impact. As our Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer, you will support and engage high-value supporters and deliver stewardship at the highest level. The role is varied and requires a proactive, resourceful individual with a love of relationship management and the ability to work across the donor journey.

Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:  

• Managing a portfolio of high-value supporters and prospects, providing an outstanding supporter experience, and maximising the impact of their support
• Support the Philanthropy and Partnerships team in the management of their key supporters – ensuring the provision of briefings, preparation of proposals and reports.
• Support the planning and implementation of key cultivation and stewardship special events.
• Work closely with the Philanthropy Lead and Senior Philanthropy Manager to grow the philanthropy and partnerships pipeline through data analysis tools and cross-team working.

We are happy to discuss flexible working with you, in our P&P team, you can work 1 day per week in the office and the rest is working from home. For our successful candidate, during the first 4 weeks of onboarding, they may need to be in our London office more often (2-3 days per week) for inductions and training.

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic Registration and International Policy Manager to join our team, playing a critical role in shaping policies that impact the future of pharmacy professionals. You will provide advice in relation to registration, regulatory and legislative developments at a UK level and internationally, ensuring that the GPhC keeps track of, and responds to, external issues likely to affect our regulatory work.

Are you looking for a part time post where you can play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults in Bristol?

We are looking for people to join us as part time peripatetic Night Workers as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI). The service provides out of hours trauma informed support to 5 accommodation services across our mixed and Women’s pathway, aimed at strengthening the existing provision of support to clients with multiple needs and experiencing homelessness.

As an out of hours Night Worker, you will work in pairs alongside another night worker, visiting up to 5 different accommodation services at night. Planning your time well, and taking instruction from day staff and on-call managers you will:

• Provide vital support and assistance to clients at night, be available to listen and deal with people’s individual needs as they arise.
• Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions so that you can appropriately deal with emergency situations that arise during your shift.
• Carry out relevant building and welfare checks, monitoring issues like noise in the locality and within the building and carrying out relevant administrative tasks and incident reporting.
• Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide high quality services to our clients. 
• Work on the rotating night shift rota. With typical shifts from 7pm – 1am, 4 nights on and 3 nights off.

Purpose of Role

Newly created role for a Chief Operating Officer to join a small but mighty health charity who support people with the health condition ‘Ataxia’.

‘Ataxia’ is an umbrella term for a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination and speech.  A serious but rare condition thought to affect 12,000 adults and around 500 children in the UK.  We provide advocacy and support those affected.  We are actively involved as the patient voice for the first USA approved drug for the condition.

Managing a small team, the Chief Operating Officer is a new role that has been created to strengthen the Finance department and play a pivotal role in ensuring Finance, Governance, HR, Legal, IT are responsive and efficient.

Summary of key responsibilities will include;

• Developing a trusted and effective relationship with the CEO to lead the organisation collaboratively
• Oversee all aspects of finance including delivering the financial strategy, overseeing financial planning, control and reporting
• Monitor and assess the financial impact of any strategic initiatives or material capital projects
• Develop, direct and oversee all business activities of the charity across Operations and IT with a focus on designing systems and processes to enable efficiency and growth

In order to be successful in the role, we are looking for a formally qualified senior finance leader who will have gained their relevant financial management experience within a charity/not-for-profit organisation.

You will have an in-depth understanding of the complexities of restricted/unrestricted funds from a variety of revenue streams.  With excellent communication skills you will confidently build relationships with the CEO and budget holders, becoming the trusted advisor to the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team.

Experience gained in a multi-faceted leadership role is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates wishing to step up into a role that is wider than finance alone.

Rainbow Mind (Northern Hub - Salford) is looking for a full time Therapeutic Services Manager to oversee our one-to-one therapy service.

We have recently received a large grant from the Lottery Community Fund to expand our service and further develop our bespoke therapeutic model.

We are looking for a visionary with expertise in therapeutic approaches and an unstoppable passion for LGBTQIA+ mental health. Someone who understands the health inequalities and barriers to accessing mental health services people from the community can face. Someone who is committed to change.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

• To effectively manage and provide strategic and operational oversight of the Rainbow Mind counselling service and development of service provision.
• To ensure delivery of consistent, high-quality counselling across the client cohorts, supporting and empowering our service users, whilst ensuring clinical work is carried out in accordance with BACP ethical guidelines and Rainbow Mind protocols.
• As part of the Senior Leadership Team, to contribute to Mind in Salford / Rainbow Mind’s vision, mission and objectives.

Main focus of the role:

• To lead, develop, coordinate, and represent Rainbow Mind’s counselling service internally and externally at Senior Management level.
• To conduct some clinical assessments and carry a caseload of counselling clients.

The Resolutions Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the resolution of complex issues, disputes, and complaints from members, customers, or stakeholders. The role involves developing and implementing resolution strategies, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction. The Resolutions Manager plays a crucial role in upholding the organisation's values and ensuring that all concerns are addressed fairly and effectively. 

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for complaints, ensuring clear and consistent communication with complainants and internal stakeholders.
• Manage the end-to-end complaints process in line with the Ramblers’ complaints’ policy, ensuring timely, empathetic, and effective resolution.
• Log, track, and manage complaints using the appropriate systems to ensure they are resolved within set timeframes.
• Conduct thorough investigations into complaints, gathering relevant information and evidence, and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve complaints and implement solutions.
• Lead investigations into member conduct and where relevant, recommend suspensions and expulsions to trustees in line with the charity’s articles of association and internal processes.
• Maintain the confidentiality of complainants and handle all information in compliance with data protection laws.
• Use the organisation’s reportable events framework to notify the Head of Governance and Chief of Staff of serious complaints.
• Develop, review, and implement complaints policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements and ensure that complaints policies are communicated and accessible to all staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
• Provide advice and guidance to staff and volunteers on effective complaints management.
• Collect and analyse data on complaints to identify trends, and root causes, using this to inform continuous improvement.
• Supply the Head of Governance with key data on complaints for inclusion on the compliance dashboard for the executive leadership team and trustees.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the complaints management process.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, industry standards and best practices in complaints management.

About the Department/Team

The Centre for Finance & Security (CFS) conducts research and implementation at the intersection of finance and security. Since its creation in 2014, the CFS has become a central figure in the policymaking landscape, working with governments, law enforcement, the private sector and other members of civil society to tackle challenges in the world of illicit finance.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the CFS has established itself as a leader in research and engagement on the implementation of sanctions on Russia.

Reflecting the expansion of its activities in this field, the CFS is now hiring a project officer to assist with the implementation of workshops and other events over the next six months.

Main purpose of post

This Project Officer (PO) role provides an opportunity for the right candidate to work as part of a high-profile team focused on one of the key security issues of our time in Europe – the implementation of sanctions on Russia in response to its illegal invasion of Ukraine. The PO will focus on carrying out daily administrative duties related to the convening and execution of workshops and other events associated with the implementation of sanctions on Russia.

Key tasks

Key tasks for this role will include:

· Supporting the organisation and delivery of workshops and other events related to Russia sanctions, including identifying and booking venues, coordinating and booking travel, preparing invitation texts and meeting agendas, and identifying appropriate invitees for events.

· Providing budget management support including tracking project expenses.

Eligibility for the role

In order to be eligible for the Centre Leader role, applicants will:

• Have completed an undergraduate degree to a 2.2 or higher.
• Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Have EITHER a minimum of 18 months full-time paid experience working in a delivery role at IntoUniversity; OR a minimum of 2 years full-time paid or voluntary experience working with children and young people, either at IntoUniversity, or external organisations, or a combination of both. Please note that we will not take part-time, seasonal or ad-hoc work into account when calculating the length of full-time experience.
• Have the right to work in the UK (please note that as a charity we do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas).
• Be able to apply knowledge of F.E. and H.E. (e.g. UCAS applications) to help young people decide about their futures; and have knowledge of national developments in H.E. and their impact on young people traditionally underrepresented in H.E.
• Have experience of confidently negotiating with a variety of stakeholders, for example: head teachers, funders, universities.

What will my main dutires be?

To lead the staff team at the centre, generating a positive and inclusive working environment and ethos and ensuring that the team are well motivated, are managing their workloads effectively, and are providing a high quality service.

You will initially be involved in the set up of this brand new centre, including developing local school relationships and we anticipate that delivery of the IntoUniversity programmes will begin in the 2024 summer term.

To ensure that the ethos and values of the charity are maintained in the IntoUniversity centre.

To act as the Centre’s Designated Safeguarding Officer (full training and support will be provided to become the Designated Safeguarding Officer). To create and oversee relationships with local education providers.

To oversee the successful delivery of our educational programme at the centre using positive behaviour management and adhering to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.
