Responsible for the development and maintenance of all safeguarding learning material, key responsibilities will include:

- Online awareness training for staff, volunteers, and members on safeguarding adults and children, covering UK devolved administrations and RBL’s overseas welfare work
- Integrated safeguarding and casework training for range of staff, volunteers, members and stakeholders
- Working with Heads of Departments across all directorates to deliver SME-specific training both virtual and in-person
- Conducting research to support the planning and delivery of safeguarding training
- Evaluating case reviews and trends analysis, to inform training

This post is a Permanent Part Time opportunity, working 21 hours per week. Schedule of hours to be agreed between Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Role Requirements

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Water & Hydro Pool Technician will perform essential duties to ensure compliance of our systems. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing potable water systems and equipment such as pipes, pumps, valves, and tanks, as well as hydro pool plant. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service alignment with HSG274, ACOP L8, IPC, legislative requirements, and standards. The role will also help support requirements and audits set out by CQC and Ofsted.

The role will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring their delivery and completion, including any necessary remedial actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating site water management reports and presenting them to both your line manager and our in-house Water Safety Group. You will also meticulously manage all water records onsite, maintaining compliance with relevant systems such as logbooks and eLogbook's. The role is also responsible for managing the appointed water laboratory for testing of water samples.

Other duties include conducting Legionella water sampling, Temperature checking, descaling of shower heads, TMV servicing, reviewing and managing Water RAMS for works carried out by contractors, as well as performing water treatment tasks such as tank cleaning, pH testing, water temperature testing, chlorination, and chemical dosing.

Dreamflight is an independent UK charity that provides amazing holidays for children with a serious illness or disability.

Since 1987 we have taken over 6,500 children on their holiday of a lifetime to Orlando and in recent years have expanded to also offer exciting activity holidays in the UK. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To work with the Head of Fundraising & Communications in order to:

· Fully support individuals, Fundraising Groups and organisations who are fundraising for Dreamflight

· Maintain relationships with third party event companies, fundraising platforms etc in order to maximise income

· Grow income over the next five years by actively securing funds from existing and new income streams including individuals, corporates, legacies and Trust/Foundations

· Ensure a varied portfolio of fundraising activities are available, including developing and organising new events

· Represent Dreamflight at community events, to raise funds and awareness (including building new relationships with the small to medium local business community, local groups, societies and faith organisations)

· Ensure all fundraising activities conform to regulations, legal requirements, best practice, organisational policy, branding etc and complete all necessary returns

· Maintain accurate records on all fundraising activity via the Salesforce database

· Report back on a regular basis to the Head of Fundraising and Communications

· Ensure donors and fundraisers are consistently and appropriately thanked

Preventative Advice Caseworker

Mencap are recruiting for a Learning Disability Caseworker (LDC) to give advice on welfare benefits, housing, health, and community care, to people with a learning disability, their families, carers, and professionals working with them. Some of this advice will be live caseload, and some will be in preventative advice packs that you have created, these will then be added to the Mencap website and distributed by you through community networks.

The Learning Disability Caseworker role can be based where you want to work from, with occasional travel to casework venues and our Peterborough office. This role will be full time (37.5 hours) on a fixed term contract until September 2027.

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Supporter Care Manager to join our Supporter Income and Engagement team to help embed and nurture a supporter-centric culture within WWF UK.

As Supporter Care Manager, you will be responsible for developing your team and helping to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork, where vision is shared, quality and service standards are outstanding, and success is celebrated. This will include working with all members of the wider Supporter Care team, including 2 other Supporter Care Managers, and line managing a small team of Supporter Care Specialists. · Used to leading & developing team members.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving

• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
• Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
• A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally
