About the role:

This role is co-located within Charing Cross Hospital 4 days per week and 1 day per week at our office near Old Street. As an IDVA you will:

• implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
• work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.

You will need:

• knowledge of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic abuse
• an understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management
• an understanding of safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people
• good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal when interacting with a range of agencies & people
• strong crisis management skills & the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

The RSC Development Department works to achieve an income target of over £8 million annually of which more than £1.5 million comes from Trusts and Foundations. Our ambition is to be raising £10 million annually by 2026.

• Managing and leading a portfolio of large multi-year Trusts and Foundation approaches working with senior colleagues including the Senior Leadership Team.
• Creating high-quality, compelling, accurate written proposals and reports with clear robust budgets.
• Developing and implementing a Trusts and Foundations strategy to achieve financial targets through the development of existing relationships and growing a pipeline of new prospects.
• Managing and monitoring budgets and reporting on progress to target and identifying and mitigating risks.
• Leading the Trusts and Foundations team, supporting their success and ongoing development.

To be suitable for this role, you must have:

• Demonstrable experience of enabling and achieving income growth, securing and managing a portfolio of multi-year high-value relationships figures from Trusts and Foundations – meeting fundraising targets and building long-term relationships.

• Experience of line managing teams, including performance management and supporting development.
• The ability to write exceptional, accurate and compelling proposals and reports.

This is a full-time, permanent position which can be based in either London or Stratford-upon-Avon, with regular travel between the two for events and meetings. Other travel may be required, including some international travel. The working week is Monday to Friday, 35 hours with occasional weekend and evening work will be required. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager capable of running the financial processes of this young and vibrant charity in order to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations with a limited range of activities but Trustees have decided to expand our activities, diversify our income generation and build a capable, respectful and highly successful staff team. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is our first year with employed staff and so the successful applicant will need to be capable of starting from scratch, designing secure controls and being fastidious in their record keeping.

The role will focus on all aspects of financial management from book-keeping to preparing end of year accounts and everything in between as well as liaising with the auditors. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested book-keeping and financial control and management skills gained through qualification and or proven experience.

The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole financial management expert – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not be afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for finance.

Specific knowledge of charitable finance controls, policies and procedures would be advantageous as would qualifications in book-keeping, accountancy or other related area. We’re looking for a proactive team player, able to work on their own initiative.

Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. We have been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helped over 8000 local people last year.

We’re looking for a dynamic and a highly motivated individual to join a new role in our Compliance and Data Protection team.

The Role

Reporting to the Compliance Lead, the Data Protection Adviser will drive the development of an improved Compliance culture throughout the charity whilst ensuring that we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws. The role would suit a candidate looking to develop a career in compliance and data protection.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Acting as a knowledge expert on compliance and promoting a culture of compliance within the charity in relation to data protection, fundraising and the provision of support services, by the provision of advice, guidance, internal communications and training.

· Assist in the development of new training materials and communications relating to Data Protection and Compliance including overseeing the relevant intranet pages.

· Help to review existing processes and policies and assist in the updating/development of these, along with tracking changes in the external environment that may have an impact on these policies and procedures.

· Overseeing, managing and responding to queries from the departments different inboxes including those for Data Protection, individual data rights requests and data breaches.

· Project managing a number of key actions from an external review of the organisation’s Data Protection practices.

· Assist the Compliance Lead and Associate Director of Legal and Governance in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports along with any annual submissions to regulators, 3rd parties or external bodies.

About You

You have experience in, or be able to demonstrate:

· Knowledge of Data Protection and willingness to learn in other areas of compliance

· Experience of working in charities, not-for profit or healthcare sector

· Experience of senior stakeholder management and confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders

· Strong organisational skills

· Desire to learn and develop skills and knowledge relating to data protection and compliance

· Strong sense of resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure

· Ability to manage evolving priorities and ensure projects are delivered on time

We are looking for a new Senior Finance Officer, who will support STADA’s Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, to bolster and develop our Finance function across the organisation; as the charity heads to meet the demands of its growth.

The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Head of Finance (and relevant internal and external stakeholders) to review existing systems, contracts and funding (income) arrangements; as well as explore and develop efficiency enhancing opportunities and contribute to building effective finance management processes and systems across STADA. They will support the delivery of several functions including: setting and monitoring of budgets, reporting of activity and funding across multiple funding streams, contribute to positive stakeholder engagement, oversee day to day financial activity and provide advice/guidance to inform development and delivery of our strategy and business plan. 

There is potential for line management within this role as it evolves. 

To fulfil this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about ending domestic abuse. It is preferable if they have experience in providing line management support and supervision. They will have great organisational, analytical and adaptive communication skills. With a positive and inclusive style of working, they will be confident and able to work across a variety of teams (and other stakeholders) and  be agile to work on and demonstrate a solution focussed approach.
