We are looking for a fundraiser with experience across a range of digital giving channels and has a keen understanding of different donor journeys and is able to create high quality, targeted communications aimed at a broad range of stakeholders.
The ability to manage digital channels such as social media, web content and CRM-led communications is essential, particularly for memberships/regular giving and donor recruitment and retention.
ORCA have set ambitious but achievable growth targets over the next three years of:

I’m partnering with an international animal charity, to find their new Digital Fundraising and Marketing Manager, where you will maximise income generation and support using digital channels, and provide an outstanding experience to supporters and potential supporters of the charity. Strategic, leadership and management

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, the Major Donor Manager sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team.
The role involves developing plans that feed into the USPG fundraising strategy to increase engagement from high net worth individuals and cultivating new high value donors. Managing the major donor income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets and expenditure remains on budget. Overview of the role

Community and Event Fundraising Support
- Build and maintain relationships with community and event fundraisers, ensuring they are supported before, during and after their events.

- Develop Glass Door’s schools giving programme, including designing engaging fundraising packs, writing successful charity of the year applications and delivering presentations and assemblies.
- Support on church fundraising, including delivering presentations to churches, attending fundraising events, promoting appeals and Glass Door events (e.g. Sleep Out) and liaising with church staff.
- Manage the process for soliciting, monitoring, thanking and recognising donations in kind, working with colleagues across the organisation.
Fundraising Administration
- Working with Finance and the Income Processing Assistant to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations, including scanning cheques, coding bank transfers and web donations, entering details in CRM database, banking cash, setting up Direct Debits, receiving in-kind donations and acknowledging/thanking donors via email or post.
- Create and update donor records on CRM, ensuring records are kept up to date, accurate and consistent at all times.
- Ensure all charity fundraising activity (including "in aid of" events) is compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation and recognised code of practice.

We are a small, growing charity, founded in 1997, with an expenditure budget of roughly £570,000 for the year ahead. About the role:
The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. You will be part of a small and highly committed fundraising team of three including the existing Head of Fundraising and Communications, our Fundraising Officer and yourself. Fundraising

* You will build a network of donors and volunteer supporters and influencers within the local community to generate income and raise our profile
* Plan, lead and report on fundraising events, attending when required acting as charity ambassador
* Build strategic, sustainable and profitable partnerships with funders to create a range of long-term relationships and sustainable income streams
Communications and Operations
* Lead systems and processes across fundraising, including due diligence processes and donor management
* Ensuring regulatory and best practice guidelines are understood and adhered to in all fundraising and public facing work
* Produce regular reports and present progress to the charity and maintain general fundraising administrative duties as and when required
* Work with colleagues across the organisation, to develop their experience and confidence in fundraising activities, ensuring they are fully briefed and supported at all times
About You:

About the Organisation
The employer is an independent charity that provides emotional and practical support to cancer patients. It was named after one of its patients Alan Dumbell. He felt that although he had a loving family supporting him, he still felt lonely and lost at times and to have someone to talk to who understood what it is like to have cancer or support someone through cancer would have meant the world to him at this time.
Their wonderful volunteers can support patients by sitting with them at appointments or on the ward, providing support to the patients and their families by referring them to relevant services and providing telephone support at home and they can also be there at the end of life.
