We require a HR Officer to lead in transactional HR processes to ensure compliance and smooth operation of activities such as recruitment and selection, supporting people processes, advising on our policies, recording and updating people records, liaising and coordinating meetings, reporting on performance and liaising with HR advisory services.

The postholder will carry out all essential administration for the HR & Business Support Manager in line with relevant regulations, standards and legislation and manage the process for HR functions such as safe recruitment, contracts of employment, probations, family leave, disciplinary and grievance issues, training and professional development.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, self-motivated, committed and reliable. You must be able to build effective working relationships with managers and staff, support absence management processes and assist with the preparation of payroll related checks.

We require the post holder to have the ability to work independently with strong time management, organisational and planning skills.  Proficient IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and experience of working with databases and online systems is essential. 

Two years' experience of HR or relevant function is essential and an appropriate professional qualification (or working towards this) such as CIPD level 3 is desirable. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.

CB Plus is seeking a talented and creative Fundraising Manager, who will be integral to supporting the financial sustainability of CB Plus. This includes building a diversified income base for CB Plus, planning and coordinating fundraising events, and building and managing relationships with commissioners, funders, and donors.

The Fundraising Manager will identify new funding opportunities and secure potential donors, researching funding prospects and developing strategies for new support. They will prepare grant proposals, manage grant reporting requirements, and liaise with funding organisations to present CB Plus’s case for support. About the role

The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. About the role

You’ll be responsible for leading the development of our Procurement Strategy and the associated policies and processes, as well as managing key procurement activity, increasing the skills of colleagues and developing our approach to reporting and compliance. About Us

The Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) is a charitable organisation that works across health and social care, UK-wide. For over three decades FoNS has supported nurses and midwives, and their teams to transform their ways of working towards care, practice and culture that is person-centred. 

Purpose of the role

Co-production in terms of design, delivery and evaluation is fundamental to the programme, and so we are looking for a person with direct lived experience of MHLDA inpatient services to join the FoNS team and to lead on co-production, bringing a lived experience lens to our team.

As an organisation we recognise that FoNS is at the start of our co-production journey. So, whilst the primary focus of the role is leading the co-production element of the mental health programme, working closely with the programme lead, a secondary purpose is supporting the development of co-production throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities will primarily consist of:

· Working as part of the FoNS Leadership Team for the FoNS Ward Manager Programme including attending relevant meetings with NHS England

· Playing a leading role and taking operational responsibility for co-production within the FoNS Ward Manager Programme. This includes meaningful engagement of persons with lived experience of mental health, learning disabilities and autism, families and carers, and staff throughout programme design, delivery, governance and evaluation

· Working as a part of the FoNS team, bringing a lived experience lens to support, promote and develop co-production across the organisation

· Understanding lived experience from a range of sources ensuring a broad demographic is represented and feed this into the FoNS team and co-production work

· Visibly advocating for lived experience involvement for FoNS

· Contributing to the ongoing development and lived reality of the FoNS’ ways of working

· Supporting FoNS with the co-creation of their next strategy which will commence in November 2024

A picture of day-to-day working might include:

· Preparing for and contributing to relevant meetings and monthly reports for NHS England

· Contacting, building relationships with, and offering support to persons with lived experience who are already or who may be interested in contributing to the co-production work

· Working with FoNS Finance to ensure all persons involved are fairly paid for their participation

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA has influence with key decision makers through its campaigns and policy positions. The post holder will support YMCAs policy function through ensuring we have a range of public affairs activities to engage and build relationships with Government, Parliament, Civil Servants, other tiers of government and relevant organisations. The post holder will also provide a full range of public affairs advice and support to the YMCA Federation.

Scope and Limits of Authority:

 

The Senior Public Affairs Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no formal budgetary or line management responsibilities other than ad hoc volunteers and interns.

The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct.  In addition, all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

The post holder will support the Safeguarding, health and well-being and safety of staff, volunteers and supporters we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name to empower individuals and organisations to make a stand against all forms of abuse, aggression, and violence, across their personal and professional lives.

We are an organisation that has been responsible for the education of millions of lone and frontline workers across all sectors for three and half decades, has:

• campaigned heavily and played a pivotal role to drive changes in the law;
• has supported over 55,000 victims and survivors of stalking since the inception of its National Stalking Helpline service in 2010; and 
• always had the aim of tackling violence against women and girls at the core of what it does.

Purpose of Role:

· To provide expert advice and advocacy to victims of stalking.

· To provide guidance and support by telephone, email and face-to-face to those affected by stalking.

· To provide casework support and advocacy to victims of stalking, liaising with both voluntary and statutory services to ensure positive outcomes for victims. 

· To support the operational Team Leaders where required.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is about making a difference, supporting the most vulnerable, standing up against what is wrong, driving systemic change, and holding decision makers to account. We work hard so our beneficiaries sleep better at night, so families can reunite at the end of the working day, and so that victims of harassment and stalking are given the chance to regain control of their situations.

• As Director of Finance, HR and Governance, you will lead, continually improve and be held accountable for the Trust’s financial performance.   
• You will have overall responsibility for HR and core areas of organisational support including IT, GDPR, and office administration.  
• You will be a pivotal member of the Executive Team, providing strategic leadership in developing and managing Finance, HR and Governance.

About the charity:

Safe and Sound Homes (SASH) is a charity that has been helping vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness since their inception in 1994. They cover York, North Yorkshire and East Riding, and have two types of approaches in order to achieve their aim of making a lasting difference to each young person, so they will never have to experience homelessness again.

SASH offers short-term, immediate help at the time of crisis through their Nightstop programme, and longer-term intervention through their Supported Lodgings scheme, where young people are provided accommodation in the homes of volunteer hosts.

About the role:

You'll account manage and steward existing trust donors and identify and build relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at a higher level. You'll collaborate with members of the Senior Management Team to create compelling funding proposals, and work with the wider communications team to develop engaging proposals.

Job Context

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.

Job Purpose

 

The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.

Scope and Limits of Authority:

 

The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.

The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct.  In addition all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

The post holder will support the Safeguarding, health and well-being and safety of staff, volunteers and supporters we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. In the event of a risk becoming apparent or if concerns arise about a vulnerable person’s welfare, to immediately report these concerns in line with the appropriate policy and procedure.

Areas of responsibility

● Contribute to the development of YMCA England & Wales’ national campaigns strategies.

● Project manage and deliver the public mobilisation elements of our campaigns and influencing strategies.

● Create online actions to support the campaign strategy on Engaging Networks, our advocacy software, from petitions to emails to MP.

● Lead the content and development of our online campaigns community, ensuring that they are active and engaged on the issues we are working on.

● Create and develop campaign materials such as videos, images and toolkits - including the recruitment, curation and stewardship of our case studies.

● Manage the production process of campaign materials from copywriting and design to printing and delivery.

● Engage with local YMCAs to ensure that they are active in supporting our campaigns.

● Develop materials, training and deliver one-to-one support to local YMCAs to engage in our campaigns.

● Manage the recruitment and onboarding of our YMCA Youth Ambassadors.

● Plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of training and activity throughout the year for Youth Ambassadors, including an annual residential.

● Ensure the voice of young people is central to our campaigns.

● Work collaboratively across the organisation with other teams to ensure our campaigns are fully integrated.

● Ensure our data is kept safe and secure and we are following GDPR guidelines.

● Work collaboratively and proactively with all members of the PCI team and wider organisation to develop excellent professional relationships.

The Centre for Justice Innovation seeks to build a justice system which all of its citizens believe is fair and effective. We provide hands on support to front-line practitioners, conduct research into how things work, and could work better, and promote evidence-based policy solutions.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic intern to support the work of the Centre’s Women In Justice Programme. The position is full-time for a fixed period of four months starting in September 2024 and pays the London Living Wage. Travel costs will also be reimbursed.

What will I be doing?

Evidence review

One of the primary roles you will undertake is a review of the existing evidence base around the profile and vulnerabilities of women engaged in the criminal justice system. This review will seek to synthesise evidence about both the prevalence of vulnerabilities of justice involved women and the mechanisms between those vulnerabilities and their offending. Findings from this evidence review will be key in supporting the development of messaging for policy makers, as well as contributing to the milestones below.

Analyse data to extract meaningful insights around the complex needs of women who come to court.

Our previous research into the vulnerabilities and unmet needs of people who come to court, and people’s experiences of the court process, all suggest that we must do much better to make the court process fairer. This is especially the case for women, who often have disproportionately high complex needs, and who often also have contact with the child protection system. This work will bring together evidence on the needs of women who come to court, in part by exploiting existing Community Advice service data to identify the number and profile of women attending court with support issues, as well as developing case studies. The evidence review will also play a core role in developing a picture of the evidence around the needs of women coming to court.

Contribute to the delivery of Women in Justice policy and practice priorities:

You will also support the delivery of our strategic aims in this area, in part through the findings of the evidence review. In particular, you will work with others to deliver the following milestones:

• Analyse findings from recent fieldwork to develop recommendations to promote long-lasting change for community support for women with substance use disorders. Findings from the evidence review will ensure the recommendations are concrete and practical for policymakers, local authority commissioners and service providers.

• Support the event management of a workshop convening practitioners working in, and interested in working in, problem-solving courts for women. Findings from the evidence review will be shared within the workshops to stimulate and inform discussions.

• Promote the evidence for the use of problem-solving courts for women with policymakers. Summary findings from the evidence review will support the development of messaging for policy makers.

Development and engagement

Beyond these milestones, you will also support the development of the Centre’s Women in Justice programme, helping us develop our capacity to articulate the links between our work on women in contact with the criminal justice system and other relevant areas of work including family justice, women’s substance use and violence against women and girls. This work may involve working on the development of funding bids and supporting the Women in Justice area of focus leads in their work and stakeholder engagement. You will also attend any relevant events and parliamentary meetings that happen during this time, such as APPGs and VAWG conferences.

Support across the research team

In addition to working on the evidence review, you will support other members of the research team with research activities as required. This might include activities such co-facilitating interviews, coding transcripts, and holding an online workshop with participants.
