Job Description
Report to: Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering
Responsible for: Leading the food distribution service and quality assurance at Hackney Foodbank’s allocated Food Distribution Centres located across the borough of Hackney. This includes ensuring all our visitors have a positive experience when collecting their food parcels and are signposted to other provisions appropriately; being responsible for directing the volunteers, working closely with the Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering, Health and Safety, and promoting best practice at each centre. This role will also involve administrative tasks, organising and carrying out home deliveries for visitors, inputting data on visitors’ journeys accurately into a database, driving the Hackney Giving Van occasionally and regularly driving a Luton van to the various Distribution Centres.
Part-time: 25 hours per week, evening and/or weekend work is required
Salary: £27,500 per year (pro-rata for 25 hours per week)
Compulsory: Must have a UK manual driving licence
Specific responsibilities:
· Attend Hackney Foodbank’s Food Distribution Centres to ensure each Centre is run in accordance with HFB’s best practice procedures.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud) and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a "can do" attitude.
The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal. You will initially work 4 days a week in the office with 1 day from home. Following a successful probation period, your working pattern will be a minimum of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. There will be some evening events, and some travel involved nationally to visit grantees. About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced interim Advice Service Manager to join our client's team. We are seeking to improve the support this role provides to the service we deliver to local residents. Establishing a sustainable structure will enable us to meet increasing demand in a more efficient manner to the people who need our help the most. This is an exciting opportunity to direct our grant awarding as Programmes Director, 37.5 hours per week, based in Cornwall and able to work from CCF’s office at least two days a week. The CCF office is currently in Lawhitton but our move to Bodmin is planned for October 2024.
Salary: £39,000-£43,000 per annum depending on experience
The Programmes Director is a key role within Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) and is responsible for leading the development and management of CCF’s grant making programmes and measuring our impact.

The ideal candidate will be highly empathetic with fantastic people skills and able to quickly build rapport. You’ll need personal credibility and confidence to liaise with employers about vacancies they need to fill. Excellent literacy and proofreading skills are essential so that you can help clients to produce high quality CVs and supporting statements.
Previous experience of supporting people into employment is a must. Experience of working with people who have faced adversity and complex challenges would be an asset.
