We are looking for new people to join a team for a brand-new extra care development Harbour Place in Workington which offers independent living for people with care needs.

Salary: £24,627 to £35,137 depending on the role.

There are various roles available including both Full time, Part time and Relief Work, which gives you more flexibility of the days and times you work so is perfect to fit in around other commitments you may have.

The current roles we have with anticipated start dates in October/November 2024 are:

• Service Manager – £35,137.71 per annum (£36,358.34 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)
• Retirement Living Coordinator – £25,965.21 (£27,112.48 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)
• Income Admin Officer – £25,965.21 (£27,112.48 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)
• Senior Care Officer – £29,635,83 (£30.551.56 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)

The current roles we have with anticipated start dates in December 2024 are:

• Night Care Assistants – £24,627 per annum (pro rata for part time) +10% night shift allowance
• Care Assistants – £24,627 per annum (pro rata for part time)

You will liaise with contacts across various agencies to find resolutions for escalated issues and you will understand the importance of security and data protection to ensure all data is protected in line with GDPR legislation. You will have a good standard of numeracy to complete budget plans to aid the advice process and be proficient in the use of computer packages with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have an open and friendly demeanour and be able to work as part of a diverse team.

Support Coordinator

Here at Stroke Association, we’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in the Salford area.

This is an exciting home based opportunity working with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11212 Stroke Association Support Coordinator (two posts)

Location: Home-based, Bury. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

A key part of the role will be to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers, to support service users and the delivery of the service.

The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Operations Manager to join the team on a permanent, part time basis, managing their vulnerable women and young parents' projects across Rochdale.

The role

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for;

• Leading front lone homelessness services supporting vulnerable women and young parents ensuring they work in line with strategy, resources and procedures to operate effectively and in line with agreed polices and plans.
• Ensuring that services are maintained and developed in accordance with key aims and objectives, are responsive to change, trauma informed, needs led and actively seek the contribution of individuals and families who use the service.
• Harnessing a working environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, positively and creativity.
• Promoting client advocacy and involvement and ensure client services are assessed and reviewed and that services meet client satisfaction goals
• Working with the team leaders in providing consistent and responsible line management to staff, students and volunteers including recruitment.
• Building effective relationships with other agencies to promote a critical community approach to service delivery.
• Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on quality and performance of services to meet contract and funder requirements.
• Ensuring the finance team have the correct annual information to support in setting and controlling of all service budgets.
• Working with the Head of Operations to identify funding opportunities.
• Being committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
• Working at times other than office hours to attend meetings, participate in networks, fund raising events and ensuring that the service is accessible.

Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. About the Role

Your objective for the first 12 months in post will be to have:

• Supported the Youth Zone to achieve 1,000 visits by young people a week by ensuring volunteers play a key role in service delivery.
• Collaborated with the delivery and operational team to ensure volunteer opportunities are identified.
• Put in place a robust volunteer recruitment pathway.
• Created a ‘culture of volunteering’ and ensured the critical role of volunteer is understood and valued across the whole organisation.
• Supported each member of the operation and delivery team to line manager between 2-4 volunteers each, providing between 6 and 30 hours of volunteering a week.
• Put in place a reward and recognition scheme that celebrates volunteers’ successes.

The charity is in the process of securing temporary office space in the Preston area, ahead of construction on the new Youth Zone being completed (expected summer 2025). In the first two months of this role, you will also spend time on placement at another North-West based Youth Zone.

About You

With the ability to motivate, inspire and communicate the value of volunteers to all levels of an organisation, you will have experience of:

• Volunteer management best practice, including developing and supporting a wide range of volunteering opportunities
• Developing and delivering a variety of training to small and large groups
• Managing successful relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners and confident in providing advice and guidance to others around policy, procedure and good practice
